“Ahem… Gallen, I have something to speak to you.” Moses spoke in a serious tone after entering the room and threw a meaningful signal to Jessica.
“Erm… excuse me, have a nice chat.” Jessica smiles to Gallen and exited the room.
“What is your relationship with Jess?” Moses was straightforward until an extent that shocks Gallen.
He averted his glance. “Of course we are good friends and colleagues, why do you ask that?”
“Gallen,” He took a deep gasp. “Please be honest with me, I know what’s going on.”
“That day… it was an accident, I didn’t mean it… and there is absolutely nothing between us!” He was stammering and holding his words.
“What do you mean? What accident was it?” Moses questioned him again.
Gallen became a bit more confused. “I thought you said you know what’s going on… I…”
“Now you better explain yourself clearly. Flora may be missing, and…” He fought a lump in his throat. “She may have did you wrong, but all these are unconfirmed thoughts, now you need to be fair to her.”
Gallen felt guilty. He explained the whole matter on 19 December…

She shifted herself closer to him, and stole a peck on his cheek. He moved away in surprise. She hugged him tightly.
“Gallen…” She spoke in a tone that almost melted his heart. “Do you know that in this world… there is someone who cares for you, just as much as you care for Flora?”
His heart skipped a beat. He finds himself in a loss, a loss for words, a loss of movement. Jessica releases herself from the hug, and touches his face with her hands, ever so gently. She gazes into his eyes as he gazes into hers. She moves closer to him…
Her lips touch his, lightly and gently, he closes his eyes, and did not move a bit. A while later he move away and gave her a hug. “Flora, I miss you…”
Jessica found her heart soured. Without further prompting, tears had already starting rushing their way down her cheeks. She broke away from the hug promptly, and wiped her tears away hastily.
“I’m sorry, Jess.” He opens his eyes and lets out a big gasp. “It wasn’t intentional…”
She forces a smile and heaves a sigh. “Thank you.”
“Huh?” He looked at her in a silly manner.
“I just wanted an answer, for so many years, until now have I plucked my courage to seek it. And I eventually got it. Thank you, I can give up on you now.” She moved herself further from him and stood up.
“Jess,” He looked at her and spoke in a serious tone. “Do cherish Louis! It’s hard to find someone who would love you more than you love him. I used to find one, but I lost her. I may be a failure in this aspect, but I do hope that others around me will have happy endings.”
“Gallen, never give up hopes, I’m always here to support you,” She gazed deeply into his eyes again, then withdrew herself and supplemented. “As a friend, I mean.”
“Thanks,” He forces a smile and faces her. “I really hope I can wait until that day to come…”

“Are you sure that’s all? Anything else you are keeping from me?” Moses tried to observe every of his little expressions.
“I can swear to it!” He looks adamantly into his eyes. “You know how much I love her! You know how much she means to me. If I can even bear the risk of losing ‘Angel’s Scent’ for her, what else can I not do?”
“I trust you, buddy.” Moses displayed bits of compunction, while placing his hand on his shoulder.
Gallen heaves a sigh of relief. “But I’m dead worried about Flora! Remember what Maggie told us?”
“That earring?”
“Uh huh,” Gallen went into thinking for a few seconds, and then stood up hastily. “I must find her!”
“Where are you going?”
“To confront Bowie Lam!” Without a second word, he shot out of his office like an arrow.
Moses ran out after him to witness him entering the lift.
Jessica trotted up to Moses. “What happened?”
“He went to look for Bowie Lam!” He speaks worriedly.
“What? He can’t…” Something cut off Jessica's speech, something which shocks her.
A gang of cops took the other lift up and flashes their search warrant to Moses and Jessica, requesting to search the place. After a thorough rummage, the cops took back things they deemed as evidences and demanded to take Gallen back with them. Moses did not reveal his whereabouts but the two of them went with the cops instead.
“Can I make a call?” Moses requested before following the cops back.
“Ok, please do it quick.” One of the police answered.
Moses took out his phone and dialed a quick number. “Hello, Ada? Your brother has gone to confront Bowie, can you go over and take a look now? I’m worried!”
“Huh? My brother? Who is my brother?” Ada was disturbed by his perplexity.
“How many brothers do WE have?” Moses somehow hoped she would catch it without arousing the listeners’ suspicions.
“Oh,” She realizes. “Gallen?” She whispered.
“Yup, please keep a watch on him, ok, that’s all.” He hangs up the call and followed the cops back.

Gallen stormed up the office in HT, but was stopped by Louis.
“Hey, what do you want?” Louis stood in his way and blocked him.
“I’m not looking for you, I’m looking for him. I must ask him where he had hidden Flora!” Gallen raised his voice a little.
“But why would he tell you? And how do you know for sure that he had hidden Flora?” Louis rebuked him.
“I don’t care, go away!” He tries to push him away and the two ended up in a little scuffle.
“What’s happening here?” Bowie was apparently alerted by them, and opened his door to come out.
“I need to talk to you.” Gallen shakes Louis off him and went nearer to Bowie.
“Ok,” He grimaces a grin, and showed him into his office. “It’s ok, Louis.” He calms the agitated Louis down.
Gallen went into his office.
Bowie sits comfortably on his seat. “Take a seat, Gallen, it’d been a long time since we ever had a proper chat.”
“No thanks, I’m not here to reminisce about the past with you. I just want to know where you had hidden Flora!” He was equally worried about Flora and infuriated by the sight of Bowie.
“Flora?” He grimaces a weird look. “You came to me to look for your wife? Did I hear it wrongly?”
“Cut the act! I have known all your evil plans, about asking Flora to return to me for the quotation. Now she is missing, you must have kept her somewhere!”
He stood up and went to him, smiling evilly, “Are you sure it’s just about the quotation? Well, haven’t you been enjoying the coffee at the station?”
Gallen started to realize more. “So you were behind it? No wonder the cops…”
“Well,” Bowie looks at watch smilingly. “I think by this time they should be searching ‘Angel’s Scent’ and perhaps will soon promulgate an order of the arrest of Mr. Gallen Lo.”
“What?” Gallen was shocked and further agitated. “What do you want exactly, Bowie Lam?!?”
“So what if I have hidden Flora? Now let me tell you, Flora belongs to me, and not you!” He shouted so loudly that Louis turned and looked at them. He then releases the blind down.
“You are crazy!” He yanked his collar and shook him hard. “You better hand over Flora or I will call the cops!”
“Call the cops?” He laughed wildly in a hysterical manner. “Go ahead! I bet the police are rummaging the island for you now!”
“Don’t be too happy yet.” Gallen let him go and spoke in a grave tone. “If you’re not letting Flora go, you’ll regret it!”
“Mimicking my tactics?” He laughs and shakes his head. “They don’t work on me!”
“I guess the CCD should be interested to know how HT landed in your hands last time.” Gallen rolls his eyes and stared at Bowie.
Feeling threatened, Bowie’s mind crack another evil thought. “What do you know about it?”
“Hand over Flora and I will hand over you the things.” Gallen kept his face straight.
“Ok,” He pauses and continued. “I’ll bring you to her.”
“No tricks from you, or you will suffer serious repercussions!” Gallen tries to reaffirm his stand.
“Sure!” He leads the way out when they later arrived at the car park below his office building.

“Where is Flora?” Gallen looked around the car park.
“Take it easy, I’ll bring you there.” He displays another sinister grin behind Gallen. “Get into the car.”
Gallen hopped into the front seat and fastened his seat belt. Bowie passes him something.
“Do you still remember this?” He passes the little Snoopy he got from Flora to Gallen.
Gallen receives it hastily. “It’s the one I gave to Flora.” He presses it dearly against his chest.
“She treated it like precious!” Bowie cast a smile to him. “Erm, something is wrong with the engine, I’ll go down and take a look.” He opens his car door and gets off the car.
Silly Gallen was still so engrossed and touched that Flora do treasure the gifts he gave to her. Suddenly his heart feels so warm, but it was soon replaced by a heavier sense of anxiety. Suddenly, he caught Bowie holding something behind him from the rear mirror. He made a swift turn back, only to be knocked out by the heavy aluminum rod in Bowie’s hands.
He made a loud cry, only to witness Bowie’s devilish grin, and passed out in the next second.
“Don’t blame me! If you want to blame, just blame it on your stupidity!” He drives away.
His car passed by the incoming Ada. She spotted him right away. But where was Gallen? She rushed up to HT in a split second, only to bump into somebody on the way…
