“Louis, let’s go down and ask the security guards about it.” He pulls Louis’ right hand slightly and said.
They took the lift and went down to the security office in seek of an answer.
“Excuse me, mister, can I ask you something?” Moses spoke politely to one of the guards.
“Yes, anything the matter?”
“May I know if you have seen Mr. Lam from unit no. 7A recently?” Moses asked.
“Mr. Lam? I haven’t been seeing him around for quite a while, are you all his friends?” One of the men asked back.
“Erm… Yup, we have something urgent to look for him.” Louis answered on behalf of Moses.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can help you, he hasn’t been here for many days!” The man continued again.
“Ermm, ok, thanks anyway.” Moses cast a smile and turned to his friends. They looked at each other helplessly. Then Maggie heard the securities mentioned a familiar name.
“Hey, isn’t that Master Ko on the cover page? Whoa, he was beaten up so badly! Must have offended someone!” One of the men flipped the newspaper and commented.
“Master Ko?” Maggie murmured to herself. She approached the guards once again. “Excuse me, can I have a look at the newspapers?”
“There you are.” One man tucked the newspapers across to her.
She reads the news in shock. “How come?”
Ada and Jessica stood besides her and took a peek of the paper.
“Who’s Master Ko? You know him?” Ada looked at Maggie and questioned.
“He was the one who sued HT for breaching of contract 2 months ago, and that had certainly landed Bowie into trouble. I remembered Bowie once say that he will not let him off, I wonder if this is his work…”
“Oh my god, this guy is crazy! Beating people up for suing him?” Jessica took a deep gasp and remarked.
“Ooops! Then I can’t imagine what he’ll do to Gallen and Flora!” Ada suddenly shoots off.
The rest of them stayed silent for another moment.
“Hold on!” Maggie suddenly waved her hand up. “Ada, you said you saw him traveling towards the South, so it might not necessary be HK island, it maybe somewhere beyond…”
“Where? Cheung Chau?” Louis suggested. “But it’s so vast, where are we going to find them?”
“Nope, not Cheung Chau, I think it may be… Lamma Island!” Maggie stirred a vague portion of her memory.
“Oh my god, Lamma Island is a few time the size of Cheung Chau!” Ada heaved another sigh, and asked again. “But how did you gather that it was Lamma Island?”
Maggie shook her head wearily. “I don't know, I just somehow remember Bowie telling me he used to live with his grandma in Lamma Island.”
“Ok, we’ll try our luck over there!” Moses decided instantly and led the rest to Louis’ car.
“Do we need to call the police?” Louis asked the rest before starting the car.
“Not advisable!” Jessica sits forwards a bit and places her hand near the head rest behind Louis. “Gallen’s under warrant arrest now, and furthermore, we aren’t even sure if they are really there.”
Moses nodded his head in agreement. “Yup, she’s right. Let’s head there first. Do you all have the map of Lamma Island?”
“Perhaps we can get a couple of them from the bookstore ahead.” Ada suggested.

Bowie headed towards the tied-up Gallen with a metal rod in hand. His footsteps woke the latter up, as he peeks through his eyebrows and opens his eyes gradually. He stirred a little, and titled his head to see Flora lying motionlessly on the side bed, perhaps sleeping.
Bowie hit the rod on the ground and caused a loud bang, awaking Flora as well.
“Now you’d better tell me what is the evidence you have in hand before I beat the daylights out of you!” He cast a threatening glare and advanced towards Gallen, stopping right in front of him.
“I will tell you if you let us go first!” He shouted out faintly.
“Do I look that stupid to you?”
“Ok, then let Flora go first!” He pleaded.
Bowie let out a long laugh. “You want me to let her go to the police? Are you crazy? Now let me tell you, I don’t have much patience!”
Flora coughed out weakly, and the both of them shifted their attention to the petite girl.
“Get her a doctor, she’s unwell, mind you!” Gallen yelled out.
Bowie trotted to Flora, kneeling down besides her. “Flora, are you alright?” He places his hand on her forehead. “Gosh! A fever?”
“Quick! Bring her to a doctor at once! It can be fatal!” Gallen hollered again.
Bowie hesitated for a moment, looking Flora, then at the noisy guy.
“GO!” He yelled at a volume that was almost deafening himself. “I won’t run away, and I can’t anyway! I won’t go without Flora! Please… please go!” His tone turned to that of a pleadingly one.
Bowie cast another look at Gallen before carrying Flora on his back and ran out of the door, locking it after him.

Meanwhile, Moses and the rest arrived at the pier of Lamma Island; they took glances at the maps and decided to break up into two groups to save time and efforts.
“Louis and Jess, you two go to Yung Shue Wan and Nga Kau Wan and search there; Ada, Maggie and me will go to the nearby Picnic Bay and Luk Chau Wan area, we’ll keep in contact by phone.” Moses spreads out the map and figured out his words.
“Ok,” Louis looked at his watch and carried on. “The time is 2.45 p.m., we must try to find them before the day gets darker. We’ll meet at here at 7 p.m. regardless of whether we find them or not!”
“Ok, let’s go!” Maggie replied and the two groups went separately to their designated destination.

Almost an hour passed by. Jess and Louis were still searching and asking around, bearing a slim but adamant hope.
“Jess, we have almost search the whole Hing Shing Yeh Beach, shall we proceed to Yung Shue Wan now?”
“Certainly, let’s go. But wait!” Jessica suddenly called out and Louis halted to turn around.
She took out a handkerchief and wiped off the perspiration on his head. “Look, you’re perspiring so much.”
“Thank you.” He casts a smile across his face and took the handkerchief over. “You’re perspiring too, let me wipe it for you!”
She retreated a step. “Hey, no! It’s got your perspiration!”
“Is it so?” He took the handkerchief and grimaces to inhale a little sniff. “Nope, it smells great, come, try it!” He then tucks the little handkerchief towards Jessica, but the latter dodged away skillfully.
“Hey, stop playing, we’ll better proceed to Yung Shue Wan now!”
“Yes, madam!” He grimaces a military salute and held her hand, continuing with their frantic search.

On the other hand, Moses and the other two have no luck in finding any clues to their search. They rested under one of the trees in exhaustion and sipped some tads of water.
“Let me call Louis and see how their search is!” Moses grabbed his phone and dialed his number. “Hello, Louis? How was your search? Erm… ok, continue then.”
“How was it?” Ada asked while putting down her water bottle, and fanning herself at the same time.
“They’re proceeding to Yung Shue Wan now!” He replied.
“It’s my fault for suggesting to come here, if we still can’t find them, it’ll be a wasted trip and waste of efforts as well!” Maggie spoke in an apologetic tone.
“Don’t say that, Maggie.” Moses gave an assuring pat on her shoulder. “At least you gave us a clue, and we haven’t even complete half of the search, so how could you be sure that you’re wrong?”
“Yeah, you’re right.” Maggie forces a smile. “Rested enough? Let’s continue.”
“Ok!” The couple stood up and replied in unison, then looked at each other and chuckled. Maggie cast an envy smile.

“Hey look, Jess! There’s a house standing near the seaside over there!” Louis pointed to his right.
“Oh Yeah, let’s go!” Jessica held his hand tightly as they advance towards the house.
They tiptoed gingerly so as not to make any noise in case their search had ended here. There was a little window by the side if the house. Louis peeked in, Jessica leaned her head closer to him. They were practically nothing in sight. Jessica withdrew her head and stood behind Louis. Out of nowhere, Louis heard a faint coughing, he peeked in deeper, there seems to be a swaying shadow cast under the faint lighting in the house.
Louis turned around, about to call out Jessica. He dropped his phone on the ground in shock. Bowie had held Jess in his arms, and besides sits an unconscious Flora lying against the tree. He was holding a knife at Jessica’s neck.
“Carry Flora in and close the door! At once!” He ordered the flustered Louis while hauling Jessica into the house.
Louis did as he was told and places Flora back to the bed again. Gallen was seated in the inner corner of the house, staring at the few of them.
“Jess, Louis! What are you two doing here?” He called out worriedly. “Bowie Lam, don’t hurt them!”
“These two fools were trying to play Sherlock Holmes!” He laughs out, smirking.
Jessica struggled and uses her might to bite Bowie’s hand. He yelled out in pain and was about to send a slap down her cheek when Louis pounced himself at Bowie and pushed Jessica away. He grabbed the knife from Bowie, but Bowie was quicker. He pulled another cutter and points it at Gallen’s neck-point.
“Try anything funny and I’ll finish him off!” He threatens while pressing some force on the knife. Blood started to ooze out from Gallen’s neck.
“Please don’t!” Jessica begged helplessly.
“Now take those ropes and tie her and yourself up!” He ordered Louis.
After a while, he checked on them to ensure that the ropes were tied securely, before grabbing the metal rod and swings it towards Gallen…
