******************************************************************************
“Kyo Wen ah, I don’t want to go” I whined.
“Why? It’s going to be fun!” replied my over excited dongseng.
“Fun for you, plain boredom for me” I muttered under my breath.
“Unnie, I heard that and that’s not true! So Min unnie would be there too”
“Yeah, with Hyung Joon oppa....” I retorted.
“Aish...unnie ah, why are you so against the idea of going out with us to the mall?”
Kyo Wen starred at me with a hurt expression.
“Dongseng ah, don’t show me that face, you know it doesn’t work”
She just continued starring at me with that expression not bothering about what I just said.
“Kyo Wen ah, you know very well I’ll be a third wheel there. You’ve got Kyu and So Min has Hyung Joon”
I plopped down onto the couch and starred up at Kyo Wen.
“No, you won’t be the third wheel. Min oppa will be there too!” replied Kyo Wen with a twinkle in her eye.
“What? Are you like arranging a blind date for me?” I raised an eyebrow at her.
“Well, not exactly. But come on unnie, I promise it would be great fun!”
She put on her puppy face and I just gave in.
“Fine!”
“Yay! I love you unnie! Come on, we better hurry. Kyu oppa is waiting outside!”
With that, she dragged me right out of the house and into the awaiting car outside.
[In the car]
“Wen ah...” called Kyu Jong suddenly.
“Hmmm?” replied Kyo Wen.
“Open the glove compartment will you”
Kyo Wen gave him a funny look before opening the glove compartment.
I didn’t really bother to see what she was doing until she suddenly squealed.
“Oppa! This is...my god...”
I peeked over her shoulder and starred at the square box on her lap.
There in the box, was a promise necklace.
Something like a promise ring, just that I know Kyo Wen didn’t like wearing rings.
So, I assume that Kyu Jong knows that too so he got her a necklace instead.
I have to admit, I’m quite jealous of Kyo Wen.
The promise necklace Kyu Jong gave her is absolutely beautiful.
It was a pair of identical rings that were joint to be one.
On it, were engravings that were too small for me to see from back here.
“You like it?” asked Kyu Jong with a smile on his face as he swerved the car to the side of the road.
“No, I love it!” replied Kyo Wen.
Her smile was so bright, I swear we had to wear sunglasses if this goes on.
Happy that he had chosen the right gift, Kyu Jong helped Kyo Wen put on the necklace.
They were about to kiss when I cleared my throat.
“Excuse me lovebirds, but if you remember, I’m still here” I stated.
“Oops.. sorry unnie”
Kyo Wen blushed and Kyu Jong just chuckled before pulling back out to the road.
Throughout the rest of the journey we all remained silent.
I could see Kyo Wen and Kyu Jong exchanging glances from time to time.
This was why I hated to go out with them, I felt so out of place.
Aish....
[Mall]
“Kyo Wen, Eun Min unnie, Kyu oppa! Over here!” called So Min as she spotted us walking in.
So Min had her fingers twined around Hyung Joong’s while a tall, slim and good looking guy stood beside them looking bored.
“Aish, hyung, I don’t get why I have to be here when the both of you are obviously going to be all mushy with your girlfriends” complained the guy.
“Yah, Jung Min ah, we got you a date. So, be grateful, okay?” quipped Kyu Jong.
Jung Min then turned and looked at me before smiling.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Park Jung Min. Hyung Joon and Kyu Jong’s band mate”
“Eun Min, Hwang Eun Min. Kyo Wen and So Min’s best friend”
“Okay, that’s enough with the formality. I’m hungry” grumbled Hyung Joon while rubbing his tummy.
We all laughed before heading off towards Mc’ Donalds.
[Mc’ Donalds]
“So, unnie, what do you think of Min oppa?” asked Kyo Wen, casually.
The boys had gone to get our food while we sat at the table.
“He’s decent” I replied, cautiously.
“And?” urged So Min.
“What?” I asked, clearly knowing where they’re going with this.
“Come on unnie, you know what we mean!” scolded Kyo Wen, looking slightly agitated.
“Yah, I just met him. What do you want me to say?” I retorted.
So Min was about to say something when the guys returned with our food.
I heaved a sigh of relief whereas Kyo Wen and So Min exchanged looks.
“What were you girls talking about?” chirped Jung Min, with a smile on his face.
“Nothing, just some girl stuff” said So Min while throwing me a look that said ‘we-are-not-done-with-you-yet’.
Kyu Jong and Hyung Joon exchanged knowing looks and I slumped lower into my seat.
Aish...I’m so dead.
“Wen ah, it’s about time that we get going. The movie is about to start” stated Kyu Jong.
“Oh yeah, I almost forgot!”
She quickly gulped down her cup of Coke and almost choked.
“Hey, be careful” Kyu chuckled before handing her a piece of tissue.
“Yah, it’s your fault for rushing me”
It’s really amazing how the two of them met at a fan meet and end up as lovers in a day and a half.
And it’s even more amazing how their relationship blossomed until now.
I smiled to myself.
“We’ll be going now. Bye unnie, bye oppa!”
Kyo Wen and Kyu then left hand in hand.
“We should be going to” quipped Hyung Joon and So Min before getting up to leave.
“What? Wait! What about us?” I asked, dumbfounded.
“You’ll be fine with Min oppa. He’ll look after you, right oppa?”
Jung Min nodded and I shot her a death glare.
So Min just smiled and waved goodbye before flashing me a thumbs up sign.
After the two lovebirds left, we sat there awkwardly not knowing what to do or say.
“Erm...so, tell me more about yourself”
I looked up at Jung Min with a dumb expression before snapping back to my senses.
“Well, I’m currently majoring in English in Seoul University and am due to graduate in a year and a half”
“Wow, you’re majoring in English? I can hardly speak the language” he looked kind of embarassed.
“Oh, it’s nothing really. I’m sure you can learn it up if you wanted to”
“Hmm...why don’t you tutor me?” he suggested suddenly.
“What?” I starred at him in shock.
“Is it okay with you? I mean it’s fine if you don’t want to”
“Oh, no, no, it’s fine. Sure, I’d love to, but I’m not sure if I’d be able to do so”
“I’m sure you’ll do fine”
I smiled at him and he returned my smile.
“So, what about you?”
I started to warm up to him and I felt that he’s beginning to warm up to me as well.
“Me? Well, my life is quite typical if you don’t count in the part where I’m a member of SS501. I basically do what others will do. I tend to be cheeky at times and well, I love carrots”
I laughed at the last part where he said I love carrots.
“What?” he looked at me with this confused expression.
“It’s nothing, it’s just that, I love carrots too” I confessed.
“Really??” his eyes were so wide, I was afraid it would fall out of it’s sockets.
“Yeah, really”
“Wow. Well, I advice you to not let that bunch know or you’re in for a lot of teasing” he rolled his eyes and I laughed.
“So you get teased often?”
“Everyday” he sighed.
“Well, what do they say?” I was curious.
“It’s not really flattering, but I’m labeled as the horse back at the dorm” he lowered his voice at the word horse.
I fought hard to not laugh out loud and he obviously knew what I was doing.
“Yah, laugh all you want. Not like I care” he pretended to pout and I burst out laughing.
“So...sorry” I managed after laughing for a few minutes.
“And I thought you would understand me since we both love carrots” he complained.
“Aww..I’m sorry. It’s just that, it’s funny. Kyo Wen and So Min are less mean though, instead of calling me a horse like in your case, they call me bunny”
“Bunny? That’s cute! Can I call you bunny?” he asked.
“Only if I get to call you by an animal name as well” I stated.
“Fine, anything but mal!”
I thought for a moment before deciding on what to call him.
“I’ll call you unicorn!” I screamed.
Passerby’s cast me weird glances and I blushed.
“You didn’t have to scream you know. I’m not deaf” chuckled Jung Min.
I gently whacked him on the arm and he smirked.
“Yah, if you continue smirking I’ll call you mal instead!” I threatened.
“Okay, okay. I’ll stop”
I smiled to myself and he got up from his seat.
“So bunny, let’s get going. If we’re bound to be stuck here in this mall until the lovebirds return, we had better spend our time doing something fun” he quipped.
“Great! So, where to unicorn?” I laughed as I called him unicorn.
Ended up, he dragged me to the rooftop where they had this mini amusement park.
“Wow, I never knew they had an amusement park up here” I said while starring at the place in awe.
“Well, it wasn’t here until a week ago” explained Jung Min.
I spotted a cotton candy stall nearby and I quickly ran over.
Jung Min obediently followed.
“Yah, bunny, your bunny teeth are going to fall off from eating all this sweet candy” he teased.
“Aww...too bad then, I was thinking of getting you one. But since, you’re so health conscious I don’t think you would want one” I replied, with a smirk.
“No!!! I mean, yes I want one!” he flashed me his killer smile and I laughed.
“Okay, okay”
I turned to the stall keeper and told him that I would like two cotton candies.
Jung Min and I then happily ate our cotton candy while observing the many people walking by.
“So, bunny, do you have a boyfriend?”
I choked on my own saliva as the question hit me as a surprise.
“Wha...what?” I asked after regaining my composure.
“I asked, do you have a boyfriend”
“No, I don’t have one”
“Oh...”
We sat there in silence a little while more before I decided to speak up.
“What about you?”
“Hmmm? Sorry, but I’m straight. I don’t have boyfriends” he replied with a teasing smile on his face.
“Yah! Park Jung Min ah, you know what I mean” I threw a small piece of cotton candy at him.
“Yah, yah, yah, don’t waste food or I’ll ask you to pick it up and eat it”
I stuck my tongue out at him and he laughed.
“So, you still haven’t answered me” I said, casually.
“Well, if you’re really that curious. No, I don’t have a girlfriend”
“Really?” I asked, not believing him.
“Yah, what would I get if I lied to you” he shot back.
I sat back and starred out at the crowd.
“Well, it’s hard to believe that someone like you wouldn’t have a girlfriend”
He was about to say something when suddenly his phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Ah, hyung”
“Yeah, okay. We’ll be there”
“Yeah, bye!”
He then hung up.
“Come on bunny, it’s time to go home”
