It has been a day. Frankie never left Michelle's side, nor Rain. Raymond couldn't get inside to see Michelle because her feared that they would kick him out again. Michelle never grew consiosnous. (a word?)
Frankie and Rain finally left the hospital to go hime. This is the chance for Raymond and Ron to go inside, which they did.
"Room two-one-two, two-one-two," Raymond mumbled to himself. Ron looked at his anxious face. Somehow, Ron looks really depressed. "Room two-one-two!" Raymond said loudly. Ron jumped. Raymond quickly opened the door.
Doot. Doot. Doot. The machine went. Raymond looked at Michelle. She looked like a beautiful princess fast asleep. Ron stared at Michelle. He couldn't take his eyes off her. Raymond went inside. Ron remained standing in the doorway. "Michelle..." Raymond whispered quietly. "Michelle... please wake up...."
"I--I'll be in the cafeteria," Ron started saying, but still coudn't take his eyes off Michelle. "Do--do you want anything Raymond?"
"No...."
Ron left. Raymond stared deeply into Michelle's beautiful unconsious face. "Michelle... it's my fault that you're like this... all my fault..." Raymond's eyes began to water. "Why do you have to save me? You know I don't love you. Why do you have to risk your life?" A tear trickled down his face. "After how I treated you... why?!" Raymond finally screamed the word he wanted to scream for ages. He buried his face in his arms.
Ron came in. "Raymond... you should go in the restroom to wash your face."
Raymond looked at him, "Yeah... I--I should...." He stood up and walked out of the room.
Ron looked at Michelle, He sat on the chair beside the bed. "Hi Michelle. Remember me? I'm Ron Ng. The guy who asked you out in our twefth grade graduation," he paused. He looked like he wanted a response, but of course, he didn't. Michelle laid there, as still as a stone. Ron touched her hand, "I always wanted to be with you... but I can't... I can't..." a teardrop fell down his cheek. "You have Raymond. Please wake up."
Raymond came out of the restroom, his face all dried up. He quickly walked to Michelle's room. He approached the window of her room. He saw Ron touching Michelle's hand. What? He thought. This totally does not make sense. He opened the door.
Ron quickly removed his hand from Michelle's. He looked at Raymond, "You're back."
"Yeah..." Raymond whispered. "I--I assume that you have a lot of things to do back at the police station. Leave Michelle to me," he said this firmly.
"Okay," Ron walked toward him, "see you then I guess..."
"Bye Ng Sir," Raymond sat on the chair beside Michelle. He held her hand.
Ng Sir? Ron thought sadly. Without a backward glance, he left for the police station.
Raymond looked at Ron. He sighed deeply. "Why Michelle? What is happening?"
