"Raymond! Michelle!" A tall, dark, young man waved at Raymond and Michelle.
"Frankie!" Raymond said
"Alright. Follow me."
"Michelle and Raymond followed Frankie through the airport and outside. They ded not speak to each other since they were in a hurry.
"Where are we going?" Michelle finally asked when they were by frankie's Toyota.
"We're going to the hospital." Frankie said as he sat on the Driver seat. Raymond sat beside him and Michelle sat behimd Raymond,
"Why?" Raymond asked when Frankie turned on the motor.
"You'll see. Did you bring any luggage?"
"No." Raymond and Michelle chorused.
"We were in such a hurry that we forgot." Michelle said.
"That's okay. Even better actually. Everybody hold on tight." Frankie started driving, fast. The car went so fast that Michelle grabbed the back of Raymond's chair and Raymond used his feet to steady himself from falling.
"Eeerhhh!" The car squeaked as the car was about to stop.
"Ahhh!" Raymond and Michelle screamed as they were pushed forward.
"Lets get out." Frankie said in a hurry.
"You should take some more driving lessons!" Raymond joked.
"No time to joke around," Frankie said, "Come on," Frankie was serious.
Raymond just noticed that they stopped right in front of this beautiful hospital. The name of the hospital was called Senior's Hospital.
"Raymond. Come on. He's waiting for you." Frankid said slowly.
"Who?" Frankie ignored him. Raymond gave Michelle a what's-going-on look, but Michelle shook her head.
They went through the double doors of the hospital. Raymond can feel the stuffiness and smell the disgusting smell of medicine.
Frankie approached to the nurse at the front desk," Can I see Ying Ka Lam?"
"Ying Ka Lam... Ying Ka Lam," the nurse muttered s she looked through her computer, hitting the computer keys noisily.
"Eh Frankie. Who's Ying... whatever?" Raymond asked mysteriously.
"You'll see," Frankie answered simply. Raymond and Michelle exchanged anxious looks.
"Here it is, Ying Ka Lam.... He's in room fifty-four, second floor."
"Thank you."
Instead of heading toward the elavators, Frankie led tham to the stairs.
"Why can't we go on the elavator?" Michelle asked as they headed up the stairs.
"It's faster this way." Frankie answered.
"Hughl, hughl," Raymond was imitating someone who was really tired from climbing up the stairs. Michelle giggled.
"It's not funny!" Frankie stopped walking, and turned to face Michelle and Raymond.
"C'mon Frankie," Raymond started, "you were never this serious...."
"After today,"Frankie interrupted,"after today, you will know that not eveything is funny."
"Raymond and Michelle exchanged looks.
"Come on," Frankie said.
They reached to the second floor. Frankie led hem to room number fifty-four and opened the door. In the room, on the bed, lied a man around his forties. His skin was really shaggy, and he has no hair. He's breathing really softly and slow. The most amazing thing is that....
"Raymond," Michelle whispered, "he looks exactly like Raymond."
Raymond stared at the man.
"He is Ying Ka Lam," Frankie said, "but his real name is Siu Hung Lam."
"Siu Hung Lam?" Raymond whispered, "but Siu Hung Lam is my...."
"Yes Raymond. He is your father," Frankie said dissapointedly.
Raymond stood frozen, as still as a stone. He was about to ask Frankie, "Where did you find him?" but he couldn't seem to find his voice.
Luckily, Michelle asked for him, "Where did you find him?" She whispered.
"I was in the hospital visiting a friend," Frankie began, "until I saw him walking by. I remembered I saw him in a picture Raymond gave me. I went up to him and said hi. He got really scared. He tripped, fell down, and fainted. I brought him to the hospital, and the doctor told me that he has... has cancer."
"No," Michelle whispered. Raymond didn't react. He just stood there, staring at the man...or father.
"Do..." Michelle's voice was shaking, "do you know w-why that he-he's not with Raymond's family? Mrs. Lam to-told me th-at Raymo-ond's dad died when Raymond's just a kid."
"I don't know."
"Dad...." Raymond finally whispered. He went beside his father's bed and landed on his knees. "Dad...I-I miss you." A tear dropped down his cheek.
Michelle started crying. Frankie's eyes started to water, and said, "He has only a little moment to live...."
"Son...." Michelle stopped crying. Frankie stared at Raymond's father. Raymond looked up, "My son..." Raymond's father raised his hand to touch Raymond's cheek, "I'm sorry...." His hand fell down and landed on the bed with a thud.
"Dad? Dad! Dad!"
