Chapter 7

Raymond and Rain

Raymond walked up the stairs to his apartment. He can go on the elevator but he just felt like walking. He thought about Rain. I wonder where she is now, he thought. Raymond finally reached his floor. He opened the door and walked toward his door. He heard footsteps walking up the stairs. He looked at the door that led to the stairs and stared at it. It might be Rain, he thought. The door of the stairs opened. It was Rain! Rain saw Raymond and quickly ran back downstairs.

"Rain!" Raymond called after her, "Rain! Come back!" He chased after Rain.

Rain ran all the way to the beach. Raymond didn't give up, he kept on chasing after Rain.

"Rain!"

Rain finally stopped running to catch her breath. Raymond quickly ran to her. Rain was about to run some more, but Raymond caught her arm.He pulled her to his side. "Rain, don't go."

"Get off me! Y-your..." she tries to pull away from Raymond's grasp, "your girlfriend's waiting for you!" She finally pulled free from Raymond's hand.

"Rain! I'm not Joyce's boyfriend! Let me explain!"

Rain turned her back toward Raymond, "You don't need to explain. I'm not your girlfriend or anything."

"Rain," he took her hand and turned her around to face him, "Rain, I'm really not her boyfriend. She forced me into it."

"You still don't need to explain-"

"Rain," she looked up at him, "I love you."

Rain stared at Raymond. He's kidding, right?

"Raymond, stop kidding around..."

"I'm not!" He hugged her, "I really love you!"

Rain was about to pull herself away from Raymond, but Raymond hugged her really tight. Raymond's warm body was making her cold body really warm. She's actually really safe and comfortable with Raymond hugging her. She smiled.

Michelle, holding two big grocery bags, was walking across the beach. This road was the only shortcut to her home. That means she will come across two lovers hugging, which she did.

She dropped her grocery bags, "Wha-"

Raymond and Rain pulled apart. Their foreheads touched. Both of them were smiling.

"Raymond and Ra-" She couldn't go on. Tears was appearing on her eyes. She ran to the two lovers.

"Raymond," He turned around.

"Michelle?"

Michelle raised a hand, and slapped Raymond right across the face. Rain looked really surprised. Raymond looked at Michelle, "Michelle..."

"I hate you!" She screamed and ran away from them, as fast as she can.
