"Michelle?"
"Leave!" She didn't even look at the man who called her name. She was expecting that it was Raymond, but it was Frankie.
"It's me, Frankie."
Michelle looked up. It is Frankie. She stood up and hugged him.
"What's wrong Michelle?" Frankie asked soothingly.
"It's Raymond. Ray-mond a-and Ra-ain are..." she couldn't go onh. She cried really loud.
"It's okay," Frankie said as he patted her head softly, "It's okay. You don't have Raymond but you have me."
Michelle looked at Frankie, "what do you mean?"
"Michelle," he put his hands on her shoulder. "I want to tell you something."
"What?"
"I kept this secret for six years. I can't hold it much longer. I have to tell you now."
Michelle looked at Frankie closely. "Tell me."
He let go of her, "Ever since I met you... I... I liked you."
"I like you too, Frankie."
"No, I like like you!"
Michelle looked at him, "You're kidding."
"I'm not! Remember the day before Graduation Day when we were in twelfth grade, I asked you out? But you went out with Raymond instead?"
"Yes..."
"I was really sad. I can never fight up the courage to tell you that I like you."
Michelle shook her head and looked at the ground, "Hehe... your kidding."
"I'm not. I know you like Raymond very much. Now since Raymond and Rain are together, I... think I should tell you this."
Michelle looked up, she looked mad. "Oh then," she said sarcastically, "if Rain and Raymond never dated then you'll never tell me." Frankie nodded. Michelle got really mad and slapped him right across his face. He didn't stagger. He just stood there, as still as a stone, looking down. "What do you think I am?!" She screamed.
She turned her back at Frankie and started crying. Frankie looked up at Michelle, I think you are more than a bestfriend."
Michelle continued crying.
Frankie looked back at the ground and looked back up at her, "and nothing can change that."
Michelle looked at Frankie. He said, "And I mean it," Michelle had tears coming down her face.
"Frankie..." She whispered and hugged him.
"Michelle..." He hugged her tightly, "I'll always protect you," he whispered softly, "I promise."
