Once we reached the radio station which was the place that Heechul Hyung from Super Junior recorded his Young Street radio show, we were greeted by the usual people who worked there.
I bowed my head to show my respects and made my way into the recording room where the other SHINee members and Heechul Hyung were already sat in place.
I bowed to Heechul before taking a seat in between Taemin and Onew.
“We have a few minutes till we start recording so you guys can chill for now” Heechul explained before turning to one of the Noona’s who was busy explaining a segment of today’s programme to him.
I let out a sigh as Taemin sat on one side of me, texting away on his cell phone while Onew and Jonghyun talked about what we could have to eat tonight.
Well Onew was talking, Jonghyun seemed to be zoned out but pretended to be listening for Onew’s benefit.
I let my mind wonder to the thing that Key and Hyoli could be doing right now.
I know Key can be pretty hard headed sometimes but he isn’t stupid, especially not to refuse my request and I was certain Hyoli wouldn’t go against what I said judging by her facial expression when I threatened her with the silent treatment.
I looked around the room in what felt like boredom.
I should have pretended to be sick today and spent the day at home but then that would have been too suspicious to Manager Hyung.
Talk about taking one for the team.
“Minho, are you okay?” A voice asked.
I looked up to see Heechul staring back at me with a questioning look on his face, the Noona from before was gone.
“Yes, why do you ask Hyung?”
Heechul shook his head and placed the ear phones on his head as the Noona’s motioned for us to do the same.
I guess we were about to start recording.
I listened as Heechul began his introduction with the mic in front of him and then asked us to introduce ourselves to the viewers/listeners.
“Hello, we are shining SHINee” Onew, Jonghyun, Taemin and I all said in sync.
“That’s right, today my Dongsaeng’s are here with me although we seem to be missing a member” Heechul said as motioned for Onew to speak.
“This is Onew speaking and yes, unfortunately our Almighty Key couldn’t be here today as he’s sick but don’t worry because it’s only a minor flu” Onew spoke into the mic when Taemin pulled out his phone, seeming to have another text.
“Ah I see” Heechul began before continuing on with another subject.
My eyes lingered on Taemin as his facial expression changed to one that I’d never seen Taemin show.
Jonghyun, I had seen many times with that expression, he always wore it when he was angry with one of us.
I looked down to Taemin’s hands which held his phone when I realized he was shaking.
But why?
He wasn’t sick and it definitely wasn’t cold in here.
Suddenly Taemin shot up from his seat, took his head phone off his head and bolted out of the room door.
I sat there looking at the door he had just exited from in utter surprise as Onew’s jaw slightly dropped and Jonghyun’s face began to turn red.
His face was slowly starting to make that expression again.
Heechul quickly spoke into the mic to let the viewers know there was going to be an interval and that during the interval, he hope they would enjoy listening to Super Junior’s new song that he would play during that time.
Quickly every mic was turned off as we took the headphone from our heads.
“What is with this group and walking out during an interview. Have you guys gone crazy?!” Jonghyun shouted out looking at Onew and me even though we were the members who ahd yet to do so.
“Taemin looked angry. I’ve never seen him like that before” Onew said as I nodded in agreement.
“We’ll take a small break. If he doesn’t come back by the time the song is over then we’ll continue the interview without him” Heechul said after speaking with one of the Noona’s who had made her way into the room.
Jonghyun placed his hands over his face as he sat down in his seat.
I looked at Onew as he shrugged and sat down aswell.
This wasn’t like Taemin at all, what was wrong with him?
[Key’s POV]
“How about an amusement park?”
“Too crowded”
“A sea life centre?”
“Too dull”
“A club?”
“Too dangerous”
Hyoli stopped in her tracks.
“How is a club dangerous?” She asked curiously.
“It’s not for you because you’re dead. It’s dangerous for me because I’m a member of SHINee. It’s too easy for people to recognize me” I explained as she did a double take.
“Really? Then why are you wearing a hat to cover your hair, sunglasses to cover your eyes and a medical mask to cover your mouth. Trust me, your pretty much unrecognizable” She commented as I rolled my eyes although she couldn’t see it because of the shades.
“I still have to be careful, if Manager Hyung happens to find out that I’m here when I could really be sticking to my schedule then he’s gonna flip” I said continuing to walk down the busy streets of Seoul with Hyoli trailing behind me.
“You’re such a bore” She whinned as I ignored her.
Until something caught my eyes to make me stop in my tracks.
Hyoli looked at me questioningly and followed my gaze until her eyes landed one what I was looking at.
I watched as the person made their way into a coffee shop.
“Wow, there’s actually another person in this world that dresses like that” She said as I took the sunglasses off.
“I’d know that person anywhere, disguise or not” I said as Hyoli looked at me questioningly.
“That’s Taemin”
“Are you sure?” She asked as I began towards the Coffee place.
“Trust me, I know”
“But I thought you said SHINee had a busy schedule today?” She asked as she followed behind me.
“We do”
“Then what’s he doing here?”
“I don’t know, but I’m gonna find out” I said walking through the door.
Instantly the scent of coffee beans hit me as the warmth spread around me.
My eyes scanned the seating area; looking for my dongsaeng when I eventually spotted him.
But he wasn’t alone.
Who was that girl?
“Hey, isn’t that…” Hyoli began behind me as I cut in.
“Kyumin” I said softly watching the two sat opposite each other.
