Sunshine: Hey Wilbur...how are you? *hands him a champagne glass* Haf fun!
Wilbur: No prob...Bon voyage to you and let me find the rest...
Sunshine: Rain is just over there...see ya! *smiles*
Toro: Let's boogie!!! *pulls Sunshine to the dance floor*
Sunshine: Ok, *looks closely at Toro* U are not drunk I hope...
Toro: *laughs* Of course not, I only drank one tiny glass of champagne...
Sunshine: *relieved* Great...
Seeing the two of them dancing, most ppl followed and went up to the dance floor for some fun. BUT...Rain and Tian Chyi were NOT having fun...
Rain stood in Tian Chyi's arms on the Spanish-style veranda, gazing into the Hsiao's pool. The pool was filled with dozens of floating candles, which cast a melancholy yellow glow along the surface of the water. The tiny flickering lights seemed to reflect her somber mood.
Rain leaned back against Tian Chyi's chest and pulled his arms around his arms tighter around her.
Rain: *sadly* We won't get to spend much time these two years...
Tian Chyi: I know...it's weird. In just twenty-four hours you are going to be staring out from the big blue sky...
Rain sighed. The thought didn't excite her at all. Her chest felt tight, and she was on the verge of tears.
Rain: I wish I weren't going all of a sudden...
Tian Chyi murmured in agreement. Rain turned and took both of Tian Chyi's hands in hers. She looked up into his familiar dep brown eyes, which gleamed warmly in the light of the candles, and her heart skipped a beat. Rain whispered an I love you to Tian Chyi in a throaty voice.
Tian: *quickly* I love you too.
Rain: And I promise to write every single day...Maybe we can call each other too..
She felt a tear coming to her eyes. Tian Chyi nodded but his eyes darted away from hers. Rain frowned and blinked back her tears. Tian Chyi seemed distinctly uncomfortable. In fact, he had been acting odd all evening.
Rain: Is there something wrong, Tian Chyi?
He coughed but shook his head quickly.
Rain: *jokingly* Ok, you don't have to write everyday, you can write every other day?
Rain laughed nervously, waiting for Tian Chyi to join in. But his expression remained serious. Now, Rain is really concerned.
Rain: Chyi? Is there something you wanna tell me? *breathing quickened*
Tian Chyi: *swallowed hard and glanced away* Yeah, there is...
He took a deep breath and stared at the ground. After a moment's silence he cleared his throat. "Rain,we need to talk."
Meanwhile,
Snow: Hey Evonne Jie! Having fun?
Evonne: Yeah...cool...*smiles*
Snow: Glad you are enjoying!
Evonne: oh i am...the food is great...*winks*
Snow: Haha...Rainbow chose the caterer...everyone has been complimenting it...
Evonne: Oh...
Snow: *smiles* I gotta go see to the other guests...haf fun!
Milk: *overtook the microphone* Ok ppl, let's ask the girls who are leaving say a few words?
The crowd whooped and cheered chanting their names...
Rain smiled apologetically at Tian Chyi: I will be back soon.
Tain Chyi: Ok...
Rainbow: Ok, I am going first...Thank You to all of you...took time out from your busy schedules to celebrate our farewell! I will definitely miss you guys when I am in New Zealand! Will miss Taiwan too! So I know you guys love the food...EAT MORE THEN! Never mind abt gaining weight...*wink*
The guests laughed.
Rain: Hi, same as Rainbow...thank you all of you! And will miss everything back here! And I bet I will be homesick the moment I get on the plane *paused as ppl laughed* So HAF FUN and well, it's ok to get drunk once in a while...*smiles as the guests laughed some more*
Snow: Heyoz! THANK YOU all for coming to celebrate this special moment with us? I can't wait to get on that plane but I will MISS THE FOOD in Taiwan straightaway I reach America...*ppl laughs, pauses* Ok, not much to say except to let loose tonight ok?
The guests laughed and cheered their approval to let loose of themselves.
Vivian: Ok, I am the last to leave this country...but all the same, I will still miss the whole Taiwan! The food and the ppl...especially you guys...Thank you for coming to this party! Thank you NiuNai for being by my side all these years...it will be hard leaving you here! *The guests: ooooOoooo...* HAhaha, and hope you guys are having fun!!!
The guests clapped and cheered.
Sunshine: OkOk, The last one before you guys return to having fun...I am lucky to haf my parents and Energy and great frenz...all of you here to celebrate this party! Will miss all of you! To Toro, love you baby...no one and I mean NO ONE is going to snatch you away from me... *everyone laughs* Rain said to get drunk, well yeah, but not too drunk I certainly dun want vomit thorughout the house and drunken guys making a fool out of themselves! *everyone laughs* So HAF FUN AND THAT'S AN ORDER!!! *held up her glass of champagne* How abt a round of Yam Seng? *smiles cheekily* Energy, Basketballers and the other three girls come on up to the stage!
They went up to the stage, the guests all snatched their glasses and held it high above their heads. They did three rounds of the cheer before downing down their champagne and returning to having fun.
