Seung RI’s vision started to blur even more, Jae Eun crouched down beside him and held onto him tightly, Seung Jinn rushed over and stood beside Jae Eun, all the fighting stopped when the gunshot echoed through the building, Youngbae looked around and walked back towards Seung RI lying on the floor
“Seung RI” Jae Eun cried
“Shhh…. I’ll be fine” Seung RI smiled and reached up to her wiping her tears away
“Don’t move, you’re bleeding, you need to stop talking, WHO THE FUCK SHOT HIM?” she yelled out
“Babe…… calm…. Down, I’m fine, I’m happy that you’re alright” he could barely talk without stuttering
“You’re such an idiot, why did you cover for me, that bullet would be shot into me not you, why do you have to go and stand in front?” tears were shooting out non stop
“Don’t……cry…… I’m….. Fi…..” his voice trailed off when the pain shot through his entire body
Seung RI was finding it harder and harder to stay awake, the bullet had shot through his back, nearest to the heart, a little bit further and he would be dead, Jae Eun cried harder as she slowly sees Seung RI beginning to close his eyes, she tried to keep him awake, but it didn’t work, his eyes is just slowly drifting to sleep, it was beginning to go so heavy for him to open them again, blood was still soaking through, it was all over Jae Eun’s clothes now,
“Please someone call the ambulance” Jae Eun pleaded out loud, as tears dropped onto Seung RI’s face
As the fight carried on, Youngbae rushed out of the building to see if the CIA was coming any time soon, if not Seung RI would be dead by highly blood loss, just before he got outside, the whole CIA squad came rushing in holding their guns in hand, everyone stopped what they were doing, and surrendered since they were surrounded by more than 30 police, the chief walked over to the leaders and tapped on Jae Eun’s appa
“Thanks…… we got what we want” he smirked and told someone to arrest Hyuk min,
“Seung RI……” both Seung hyun and Daesung rushed over to his side
“Didn’t anyone get an ambulance” Seung hyun shouted at a random person
One by one the gang had finally got arrested after all these years of planning, it had finally succeed, Seung RI got rushed to the hospital, both Jae Eun and Seung Jinn stayed by his side in the ambulance, she couldn’t take her mind of him, she’s practically praying for him to be alright, as soon as they got to the hospital, all doctors and nurses rushed out to get Seung RI into the operation room, Jae Eun picked Seung Jinn up and rushed inside with them but got stopped by the door,
“Please wait outside” the nurse stopped them,
“Will daddy wake up?” Seung Jinn asked worriedly
“Yes…. Daddy will be alright, I know he’ll be alright” Jae Eun comforted him as well as comforting herself
“Jae Eun” both Seung hyun and Daesung arrived
“Please tell me Seung RI is ok” she pleaded the two of them
“He’ll be fine, he promised to never leave your side, so he’ll be fine” Daesung’s words seemed to calm her down a bit
“Shall we call Ji yong and Stacy?” Seung hyun asked
“No…. Stacy is pregnant she can’t be in shock, just tell them once he’s ok” Jae Eun told them harshly
Nurses and doctors were rushing in and out of the operation room which added to Jae Eun’s anxiousness, seeing them with blank expression made her worry even more, the longer she waits the more pain she’s feeling, Seung Jinn is too young to even know what was going on around him, all he know is that his father is asleep, that’s what he thinks Seung RI is doing, Jae Eun kept walking back and forth, which was starting to annoy both Seung hyun and Daesung, 20 minutes had gone by and Seung RI was still in the operation room, the doctors still hasn’t finished on curing him, Youngbae showed up after all the hassle at the police station, he spotted Jae Eun walking back and forth, so he approached her slowly
“How is he?” Youngbae asked
“He’s still in the operation room” Daesung answered for her, since she’s too busy worrying about him
“I’m so sorry about what happened for these past weeks” he apologized as he took a seat beside Seung hyun
“Its ok man, I’m sorry I punched you” Seung hyun looked over to him and smiled
“no problem, I would punch myself, I couldn’t tell you guys, so…… well I’m glad it’s all over, we’ve captured everyone, our chief is considering whether to let the leader out early or not” Youngbae explained
“Well right now all that’s important is Seung RI’s health” Jae Eun butted in
“Don’t worry Jae Eun, he’s a strong guy, he’ll be ok, remember when I took a bullet for you, i’m fine, so he’ll be fine” Daesung tried to comfort her again by reminding her about his incident
“I know he’ll be alright, he promised to stay by my side, so he won’t die, he’ll live, I know he will” Jae Eun was beginning to think nonsense in her mind
Another 10 minutes had gone by, Seung RI was still in the operation room, something bad must be happening inside that room, otherwise it wouldn’t take that long to take a stupid bullet out from his body, finally the light switched off, Jae Eun rushed in front of the door as the doctor walked out with a blank expression on his face
“How is he?” they all ganged up on him
“well we done everything we could, we took the bullet out and everything, but because of his highly blood loss, we had to transfer some blood into him, however the bullet had gone through some of his vital areas, so he might find it a little bit hard to wake up, so it’ll be up to him on that one, he might wake up in a week, maybe a month, or even a year, we are not entirely sure about it, just have to wait and see” the doctor explained slowly
“So you’re saying he’s in a coma” Seung hyun assured
“You can say that, we can’t send him to the normal wards, so we’ll have to send him to the special wards where the security of the nurses would be higher, so if anything happens to him, we’ll be right on his case” the doctor explained
Suddenly everything went pitch black for Jae Eun, hearing that Seung RI would be in a coma, totally shocked her causing her to pass out, luckily all 3 of the guys caught her in time before her body hits the hard concrete floor, Youngbae picked her up and carried her to a spare room around the corner so she could rest until she wakes up again, after 20 minutes had gone by Jae Eun began to come back to earth, she opened her eyes immediately and jumped up, looking around she noticed she was still in the hospital, Youngbae spotted her awake so he walked over to her
“Where’s Seung RI? Is he ok?” she asked totally forgotten about the coma
“He’s in the ward, you blacked out after hearing that he has a coma” Youngbae reminded her
“………” she began to cry, tears just automatically run down her cheeks
She got off the bed she was laying on and walked out with Youngbae behind her, he took her to the room that Seung RI was currently placed in, as soon as they got inside, Seung Jinn ran over to Jae Eun and jumped on her, which cheered her up a bit, picking him up she walked over to the bed, Seung RI didn’t move a muscle, he stayed put lying deadly still on the bed, the machine kept beeping slowly showing that he’s still alive, she gently put Seung Jinn back down on the floor, and held onto Seung RI’s hand which feels really cold, Daesung looked at Seung hyun making him look at Youngbae, all 3 of them gave each other some eye movements, like they’re talking through their eyes, all of them got up and left the room along with Seung Jinn so Jae Eun could be alone with Seung RI
“You promised you’ll never leave my side, why are you still sleeping Seung RI? Wake up, stop sleeping wake up” tears ran down like a waterfall, drops of tears fell onto his hand
“wake up, I can’t live without you, Seung RI don’t sleep anymore, you got to wake up, you proposed to me, Seung RI wake up we need to get married, Seung RI wake up” she continued to nudge him but still no response from him, “you didn’t keep your promise, you lied, Seung RI WAKE UP” she yelled out to him this time, but still no response
A year later ~
Seung Jinn had just turned 3 and half years old, a year had already gone by and Seung RI is still in the same condition, everyday Jae Eun would always visit him and tell him about hers and everyone’s life, giving him all the information he needs, about 9 months ago Stacy gave birth to a little girl, Ji yong decided to name her Eun Joo, kwon Eun Joo, he spoils her a lot even though she’s only 9 months old, they found out about Seung RI right after Stacy gave birth, since they happened to appear in the same hospital, everyday Ji yong would take Eun Joo to visit Seung RI, but nothing happens, he’s still the same, still hasn’t woken up from his coma,
“Seung RI, it’s me again, you’re probably getting bored of me since I come every day, well Youngbae is a really successful CIA detective now, he surpassed a lot of big cases I probably told you this before, but I’m running out of stuff to say, so you better wake up soon or you’ll just have to listen to me blab along about nonsense, Eun Joo is so cute, Seung Jinn is doing well in school, made a lot of new friends, but still whining that daddy can’t go pick him up, are you going to wake up anytime soon or do I have to listen to him whine over and over again, Seung RI come on wake up, it’s been a year now, don’t you think you should at least move, you stayed in that position for a whole year, don’t you get bored” she sighed to Seung RI who’s still sleeping on the hospital bed
she started to feel a bit thirsty but the water bottle was empty so she walked out the room and made her way to the fountain just around the corner, within 5 minutes she started to walk back to Seung RI’s room, just when she saw doctors and nurses rush off to somewhere, they were running to the direction of Seung RI’s room, her heart started to skip a beat, she started to speed up her pace, seeing that the doctors was going into his room she suddenly dropped the bottle and ran to the door but the nurse stopped her from going inside
“Wait here….. We need to check on him”
“What happened?” she asked her
“His heart rate started to drop, just wait here, he’ll be fine” the nurse told her and closed the door in her face
“Please wake up” she prayed aloud
“Jae Eun ah, what’s going on?” she turned around and it was Ji yong
“Ji yong oppa, Seung RI’s heart rate started to drop, I don’t know what’s happening, I was gone for 5 minutes and he suddenly became like this” she told him as she started to go pale
“Maybe he’s waking up or something, he’ll be fine, don’t worry, I know he’ll wake up, he loves you too much to leave you” Ji yong smiled to reassure her
“I hope he’ll be ok, otherwise I don’t know what would happen to me and Seung Jinn” she sighed and took a seat beside the door
The doctor came back out with a bright smile on his face, both Ji yong and Jae Eun walked up to him, she looked inside the room and spotted Seung RI sitting up on the bed, she immediately rushed into the room without hearing what the doctor had to say, she couldn’t believe Seung RI had actually woken up, after all these time she had been nudging him, he had finally woken up, she immediately rushed to the bed and stood right beside him, he looked up and smiled at her confusingly
“Who are you?” he asked
“WHAT…. You don’t remember me” she widened her eyes
“No” he shook his head
“Seung RI, how can you not remember me?” she asked him leaning closer towards him
“I’m only joking why, would I forget someone who keeps on telling me the same thing over and over again” he smirked
“You idiot, I thought you forgot about me, are you saying that you don’t want me to be here, fine I’ll go then” she glared at him and began to walk off
“Wait….. I’ve been sleeping for a year, can’t I joke around, and after all I did cover for you” he pulled her back towards him
“I missed you” Jae Eun started to cry
“I missed you too” Seung RI got up from the bed and embraced her tightly in his arms
“Guess I don’t need to be here then” Ji yong smirked as he walked inside after talking to the doctor
“Ji yong….. What’s up? How’s Eun Joo?” he asked him
“You know, I thought you wouldn’t be able to hear us talk”
“Just because I was in a coma doesn’t mean I can’t listen, I was listening throughout the year, and this girl here doesn’t fail to tell me everything” he laughed
“She’s fine, 9 months old, looks a lot like Stacy” he smiled brightly at him
“Well that’s good then” Seung RI smiled at him
“I think I should go, I’ll leave you two love birds alone, Jae Eun don’t worry I’ll go pick Seung Jinn up for you” Ji yong smiled at them and walked out
“I thought you’re going to leave me” Jae Eun pouted
“You thought I was going to die, babe I’m not married to my panda wife yet, why would I die?” he smirked and kissed Jae Eun on the forehead
Jae Eun couldn’t resist him anymore Seung RI kissed her forehead then to her nose, then down to her lips, making the kiss deeper they stood there embracing each other while making out; they were too busy in their own little world that they didn’t even notice people entering his room;
“Sorry you can continue, I won’t disturb” Daesung cheekily smirked
“OPPA~” Jae Eun whined and threw the pillow at him
“Owww…..” instead of Daesung yelling in pain, Seung RI did
“What’s wrong?” Jae Eun suddenly became serious
“You stomped on my foot” he pointed to his sore foot that she just stomped on
“Oh sorry, babe” she stuck her tongue out a little and looked down
“Can you go home now Seung RI?” Daesung asked
“Eh… I’m not actually sure, but I hope I can, I don’t feel any pain, after all it has been a year so hopefully I can, I don’t want to stay here any longer, I’ll die I’ve been in here for a year now I don’t want to stay any longer” he rolled his eyes and embraced Jae Eun again
“Well shall I go check for you, so you can carry on making out” he teased and walked out the door before Jae Eun could beat him up
“When I was sleeping, I kept hearing your voice saying my name, I saw your parents by the way, they told me to look after you, and to tell you that don’t blame yourself about their death anymore, let the past be the past, and they said one more thing, they said you have to stay with me forever, and you have to do whatever I say” he winked and smiled devilishly at her
“Shut up Seung RI, no you never why would they tell you to tell me to listen to you, shut up did they, you just want sex, I know what you’re thinking”
“no serious, they did, but probably not the listening to me part, or the stay with me forever part, or the look after you part, ok they didn’t say anything I said, but they did say something, I just can’t remember what they were, oh well, you still have to listen to me though, I’m your hubby, so you should listen to me” he winked again
“Go away” Jae Eun pushed him away and walked to the fruit basket that Daesung just brought in
“Babe~ you can’t walk away from me like that, I haven’t touched you for a year, so come on” Seung RI whined like a little kid and hugged her from behind
“People are watching, and it’s inappropriate so……………………..” she got cut off
“DADDY” Seung Jinn sang as he ran over to him
“Oh Seung Jinn, god I missed you, have you been a good boy while daddy was sleeping” he picked him up and pecked him on the cheek
“Seung Jinn is a good boy, I obeyed mummy a lot” he gave him the biggest grin you could ever see on him
“Well, that’s good then, who came here with you?” he asked him
“Uncle Ji yong took me here” he pointed at Ji yong standing at the door
“Welcome back bro” Seung RI smiled at him
“The doctor said as long as you come back for a daily check up, you’re free to go home” he told them
“Oh when did he say that?” Jae Eun turned her attention to him
“Earlier, when you didn’t even bother stay to listen, you just ran straight past him to go see your lover boy” Ji yong shook his head in disappointment
“Oh….. well do you blame me, I’ve been waiting for him to wake up for one whole year, as soon as he sat up, all I could think of was him, so I just ran straight pass the doctor” Jae Eun shrugged
“Well now that he’s awake, you have nothing to worry about” Ji yong raised his brow
“You think….. Ji yong you’re underestimating him, we are talking about Seung RI here you know, I won’t have no sleep tonight” Jae Eun sighed
“Jae Eun, is it really necessary to tell me that, I don’t really need to know what you guys gonna do tonight, just leave that between you two” Ji yong raised his eye brow at her again
“Oppa~ I don’t mean that, eish why do all boys have a dirty mind” Jae Eun rolled her eyes at the both of them
“We’re not boys anymore; I’m 24 years old here and Ji yong is 25 years old, we’re grownups thank you very much” Seung RI glared at her
“Are you sure about that? Because to me you don’t act like a 24 year old, more like 3 years old” Jae Eun laughed at him
“And you can talk, you act more childish than me and you’re 23 babes” he laughed back at her
“Whatever…. You’re still a boy” she stuck her tongue out
Seung Jinn is just standing there watching his parents argue about who’s the childish, he found it rather amusing to watch, Daesung came back into the room in the middle of their conversation but no one seemed to noticed him apart from Seung Jinn who kept pulling faces at him, about a minute of still arguing about who’s the childish, they stopped and looked at Daesung
“Oh you’re back” they both said in unison
“I was back for 5 minutes now, you’re too busy arguing about who’s the childish to even notice me” he pouted
“I noticed you uncle Daesung” Seung Jinn grinned
“Yeah only Seung Jinn noticed” he pouted even more
“Speaking of childish” both Seung RI and Jae Eun laughed at the same time as they pointed at Daesung
Time goes on quick when you’re having fun, it was beginning to get dark outside, everyone left the hospital about an hour ago, leaving only Jae Eun and Seung Jinn there to wait for Seung RI to get ready to go home, they had already waited for 20 minutes, but he still wasn’t ready, he had to get checked up by the doctor before he could leave, but the doctor was taking long to get to his room, so they had to wait, Seung Jinn was beginning to get hungry and tired, he sat quietly on the bed and played with his toy while Jae Eun helped Seung RI to pack his stuff in the bag that she told Seung hyun to bring earlier,
“Babe, did Sun mi come to visit me when I’m in the coma?” he asked
“Oh yeah I forgot about that, she got married to that guy we saw her with, she came with him, he’s really nice, kind, polite and quite cute too” she deliberately say that so he would get jealous
“Do you have to talk about other guys that way in front of me?” he asked with a slight pout to his face
“Why…. are you jealous?” she teased
“You’re suppose to talk about me, tell me how cute I am, I was in a coma for a year, don’t you think you should treat me a little nicer” he smirked
“I am nice to you; I’m always nice to you”
“No I mean tonight” his smirk became wider
“Eish…. Seung RI just go” she rolled her eyes and walked over to Seung Jinn sitting there on the bed playing by himself
“Mummy, I’m hungry” he spoke out
“We’ll go home and eat soon, blame daddy he’s the one who’s taking long” just then the doctor came in and smiled at the 3 of them
“Right Mr. Lee you are free to go, but you can’t drive yet so wait till tomorrow, make sure you come back for a daily check up, that’s it really, no medicine to take, just take care of yourself, make sure you don’t injure yourself again, your wound has been recovered so yeah just look after yourself” he smiled and walked off after signing his check out paper
After that Seung RI grabbed his bag and walked out with Jae Eun and Seung Jinn in front of him, they had to take the taxi home since Jae Eun didn’t drive Seung RI’s car to the hospital, calling the taxi, they got inside and drove back home, about 10 minutes of driving around the city they arrived back home, Seung RI got out the taxi first and took in a deep breath leaving Jae Eun to pay the taxi driver, getting out the car the taxi drove off,
“Man, haven’t been back home for ages” he stretched out himself
“Well let’s go, before your son freeze to death” she said and walked passed him with Seung Jinn in her arms
[Seung RI’s P.O.V]
I walked behind Jae Eun and made our way up to our floor, I stopped by my door and waited for her to open it, I immediately ran inside and chucked my bag on the sofa before running to my bed, I missed it so much, much better than the stupid hospital bed which I had been sleeping on for a whole year
“Baby” I heard Jae Eun called out
“WHAT” I called out from my room
“Come here” she yelled out
I got my lazy ass off the bed and walked into the kitchen where she was at the moment, as soon as I walked in I noticed different uncooked food on the table in front of her, I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her thin waist, she needs to eat more, no one would know she gave birth to a child since she’s so bloody skinny
“You need to eat more” I told her as I nuzzled on her neck
“What do you want to eat? I can’t think on what to cook” she sighed
“How about we don’t cook and go out to dinner, since it’s getting late and Seung Jinn is starving” I suggested
“But then that’s a trek to go out babe, plus you just got out the hospital I want to cook you something nice” she turned her body around and wrapped her arms around my neck
“Aww ain’t you sweet, well why don’t we go to Ji yong‘s house” my phone started to ring when I just called out his name which is kinda freaky, if it is him it’s even more freakier
“Daddy its uncle Ji yong”
“Oh… hello, we were just talking about you and then you called what’s up?” I told him
“come over to have dinner, Stacy wants to see you, she didn’t have time to visit you because of Eun Joo, so yeah come over now, it’ll be ready soon” he told me
“Oh what a life saver, we was about to come to yours since Jae Eun doesn’t have a clue on what to cook” I told him
“Well good…. Come over now” he said and hanged up
Seung Jinn pulled Jae Eun away from me to go get changed out of his school uniform, so I just walked to the couch and made myself comfortable until they come back out, I didn’t even know I dozed off for a good 2 minutes until Jae Eun slapped me around the head to get me to come back to reality, I rubbed the back of my head and whined to her, she came back to me and kissed my head, I am actually childish when it comes to her, but does it hurt to act cute
“Babe…. Stop thinking about yourself and let’s go” how the hell did she know I was thinking about myself?
“How’d you know I was thinking about myself?” I asked her
“So you were….. Oh my god, come on let’s go” she rolled her eyes at me and walked out with Seung Jinn in front dragging her
“Eish…. You always do that, and it always seem to work” I sighed and followed them out,
We didn’t drive since there was no point as we only live 5 minutes away from them by car so we decided to walk there, about 10 minutes of wandering around in the streets, we made it to their apartment building, walking up the stairs we entered through the door that takes us to their floor, once we found their door, Seung Jinn banged on it several times until they came to open it, as soon as we walked inside Jae Eun rushed over to Eun Joo sitting on the floor and picked her up, if she loves baby so much why don’t she just have another one, I want another baby
“Eun Joo….” She sang as she picked her up
“If you love her so much, why don’t you just have another baby” Ji yong just said what I wanted to say
“Don’t be silly, one is enough, I’m not getting pregnant again, not when he’s immature” she pointed at me
“I’m immature, you mean you’re immature”
“You’re both immature, oppa come help me” Stacy appeared from the kitchen
“You want help from a person who just woken up from a coma” I glared at her
“Oh stop being a lazy ass, and come help me” I obeyed her and got up from the couch

Seung RI made his way into the kitchen and started to set out the dining table for Stacy to put food on while Ji yong stayed with Jae Eun outside, playing with both Eun Joo and Seung Jinn, when dinner was ready, both Ji yong and Seung Jinn rushed to the table and sat down at their assigned seats getting ready to eat, Jae Eun carried Eun Joo to the table and handed her to Stacy when she came back out with the last plate of food,
“Wow there’s a lot of food” Jae Eun widened her eyes at the delicious food on the table
“Well Ji yong said Seung RI came out of the hospital so I thought I make more food, so he could eat more since he looks so skinny now after sleeping for a year” Stacy looked at him
“Aww how sweet are you?” Seung RI smiled as he stuffed his face with the food on his plate
“Seung Jinn don’t eat too fast” Jae Eun stopped Seung Jinn from copying Seung RI
“Sorry mummy” he smiled innocently and carried on eating his food in a slow pace
“So….. When are you two getting married, have you proposed yet?” Stacy brought up the subject
“I proposed to her on the day Seung Jinn went missing” Seung RI stopped eating and told them
“Well when’s the wedding?” Ji yong asked
“……….” Seung RI looked at Jae Eun; she looked up and realized all 3 of them were looking at her
“What…. Why are you guys looking at me for, he’s the one who proposed so he should decide not me” Jae Eun shrugged and carried on eating her food
As the night goes on, Jae Eun still kept on changing the subject every time Seung RI asks her about the date of the marriage, Seung Jinn was beginning to get tired since the time was already 10 o’clock at night, Eun Joo was already fast asleep in her own little bed in Ji yong’s room, Seung RI picked Seung Jinn up and walked out the door while Jae Eun stays and says her goodbyes,
“Come on babe…. Seung Jinn is getting heavier” he whined for Jae Eun to get a move on
“Alright I’m coming….. Well I’ll chat to you later, bye” she smiled and walked out the door to follow Seung RI who is already half way down the corridor with Seung Jinn sleeping in his arms
“If only you drove here with my car babe, now we have to walk back, Seung Jinn is heavier, what does he eat?” Seung RI whined
“Eish…. Stop whining would you, give him to me then” Jae Eun took Seung Jinn from him and walked ahead
“I’ll take him back” Seung RI insisted but Jae Eun got annoyed with him whining all the time so she ignored him and walked ahead of him
By the time they got home it was 10:30pm, Seung Jinn still hasn’t woken up yet, making their way up to their floor, Seung RI grabbed the keys from Jae Eun’s pocket and opened the door, he took Seung Jinn from her and tucked him in bed while Jae Eun goes clean up in the kitchen, after putting him into the bed Seung RI made his way back out and into the kitchen, he crept up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist giving her a little fright, she was still in a mood with him, so she moved away
“Are you still in the mood with me?” Seung RI asked
“No” she answered coldly
“Don’t lie; you’re clearly in a mood with me”
“you always fucking whining, I’ve been doing this while you’re in a fucking coma for a year, do you know how tired I am, I’m worried about you, and then I have to look after Seung Jinn, and now you’re whining just because you carried him for only 10 minutes, I did it for a year, you don’t see me fucking whining” she suddenly broke down in tears
“Baby, shhh…. don’t cry, come on, I’m sorry” Seung RI took her hand and pulled her into his arms
“Seung RI I’m sick and tired of this, I was worried sick about you, I thought you weren’t gonna come back to me, you don’t know how scared I am for the last past year, every night I wake up I couldn’t find you, I got scared, I don’t know what to do anymore….. I…..” Seung RI cut her off
“It’s ok, I’m right here, I won’t leave you anymore, I’m not gonna go anywhere, I’ll stay by your side forever, its ok” he comforted her by hugging her tighter
“You better be” she continued to cry in his arms
