“Raymond just go now ok. I don’t think this is a good idea staying here” I whispered softly into Raymond’s ear.
Raymond gave me this look telling me that he understand what I’m saying. However the guy that’s standing directly opposite us doesn’t seems like he wanted let us go that easily.
“You...why do you want to protect that women. Men are born to rule over women not protect them….why would you do that.” He screamed at us pointing with his forefinger unsteadily at the same time.
Raymond bravely replied “I’m not protecting her because she’s a women, it’s because she someone important in my life. It’s my duty to protect her, care for her and be there for her no matter what happens”
I was speechless from those few words. Does he really cared for me that much?
“You are just stupid. She won’t thanks you for that. You will regret what you just said.” The guy said more importantly this time.
“Why should I. I won’t and there’s nothing you can do about it. As long as I’m here, you can’t touch her”
“Ok then you are asking for it.”
What does he mean by that. Oh who am I kidding. I totally know what he meant.
“Oh Raymond, we better get out of here fast. I don’t want anything bad to happen.
Raymond turned to look at me then nodded his head in agreement. But that guy was too fast, before we could make any move he had already make his.
Using his hand he quickly punched Raymond straight on the cheek causing him to fall down straight to the ground making his forehead bleeds.
“Oh Raymond” I cried trying to get to him.
“that what you get for going against me” the guy wiped his hands then looked at me again. At that time, I could see be hide the guy that Raymond is trying to get up. Just when the guy make his first step towards me Raymond hurriedly jumped on the guy trying to hold him back.
“Go now, don’t wait for me” Raymond screamed at me giving me one of his worried look.
I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t just leave him here alone. What if something Bad happen to him without me knowing.
I look at the sight in front of me as thoughts still running through my mind. The guy was struggling even more violently now trying to get Raymond out of him.
“Go Michelle. You Have to go now if you know what good. Please if something happen to you I would rather die. Do you want to me to kill myself.” Raymond said trying to convince me in leaving.
Not looking back to began to run. I don’t know why I run like that. Is it because he want me to.
Raymond I deeply hope you will be ok. I don’t know what I do without you. Even if I’m angry about my past but you are always there for me, to help me and to care for me.
I was only half way when I heard this horrifying cry.
“It must be Raymond” I murmur to myself
With out thinking I ran back. To my disbelieve, Raymond was the only one I could see there. He was lying on the ground cover in blood. I quickly look around me. That guy was know where to be seen.
Tears started to fall as I crouched down next to his body. I slowly lift it up and move my finger close to his noise to make sure that he’s still alive. I couldn’t help it but think that he had left me since there’s so many blood. Luckily I couldn’t still fell some breath.
“Oh Raymond I’ll take you to the hospital now” I said pulling him up quickly. I use all of my energy trying to drag him along the Alley heading to the direction of the main road once more.
“hang on you’ll be ok”
“No I don’t want to go to the hospital” I heard Raymond softly whispered while his eyes was still tightly close.
“No you have to”
“Please I don’t want to, I’m afraid if I go there I won’t see you again” With that I could feel that he went unconscious once more.
I don’t care what he said I’m going to take him there anyway. A few minutes later we were standing at the main road. I took my mobile out and call for a taxi. It was good that it come in a flash. So in no time Raymond was lying on his bed at the hospital being examined by a doctor. Just at that time my mobile rings
“hello who’s this” I asked
“This is Rain. Michelle where’s Raymond, why can’t I find him”
“Raymond. he’s…he’s..”
“Just tell me, I thought he was back at his room and so I ask him about his project we are doing at work but he’s not there. So do you know where is he since you followed him didn’t you”
“He’s at our town’s Hospital…” I didn’t get to say anymore when I heard she hang up.
Why is so she worried anyway.
I pushed the thought of Rain aside and look back over at Raymond. He’s still lying there with his eyes close. I really hope that he could be ok.
“Doctor, how’s he” I ask with a concern voice.
“He’s bleeding a lot but beside that he’s pretty ok. But he need a lot of rest. I suggest that he stay here for a few days to recover himself. In the mean time you can still come and visit.” The doctor answer.
“When will he wake up”
“I’m not sure. Since he have lost a lot of blood it still have to depend. It could take a few more hours or a few more days. It just depends on him”
A few more days. I couldn’t wait that long…
