He patted and smoothed out his hair to make sure it looked good before stepping out of the bathroom. Then turning on the faucet, he let the cold water wash his hands. He never figured out why he just had so much fun with the one person that seemed most like a party pooper. Maybe inside she really is like ice cream and she’s actually really fun to be around, it just takes a while. He turned off the cold water and dried his hands and exited the bathroom.
Walking down the hallway, he saw Tavia humped over the countertop, her back facing him, he decided to scare her. But little does he know that Tavia’s face is as white as a sheet.

Tavia turned the tiny key and slowly she heard the clicking noise of the locket. Her eyes grew big and she panicked. Should she tell him who she is? Is he even Lam Fung? What will he think of her? Is she hallucinating? Suddenly out of nowhere, she felt a pair of hands grab her shoulder and someone’s breath on her neck. She jumped around to see who it was only to discover it was Raymond. She hid the locket and key behind her and tried to act normal.
“Oh it’s…it’s you. Um I see you’re all cleaned up. Uh I was just um thinking like you know, about the project and uh how we should present it.” She said, her words so close to jumbling together. Raymond gave her a confused look but shrugged it off.
“Well do you have any ideas then?” he said moving to the counter. Tavia remained in her position to block his view and now he was finding something really awkward about her.
“Um no…but uh…let’s check on the decorations!” she said and pushed him to the hot cookie sheets that were sitting on the counter. Without a thought, she grabbed it, but immediately regretted it and dropped it back down. The tips of her fingers were read and her palms were burning warm.
“Whoa! Are you okay?” Raymond asked with concern and grabbed her hands for inspection. Tavia tried to wriggle free but Raymond was strong and it didn’t allow for her to pull her hands away.
“I just burned myself I’ll be fine.” She said, hoping it will convince him, but it didn’t. Raymond pulled her to the first aid kit and grabbed some ointment for burns and rubbed it on for her as she flinched and twitched in her seat. After he was done, he looked at her with a stupid grin.
“You know, you are so careless. You remind me of a friend of mine. We baked cookies once at the orphanage and she was in such a rush to bring the cookies to the others she grabbed the burning tray that just came out of the oven. I had to help her rub ointment too.” Raymond said smiling, but Tavia wasn’t. That “careless friend” was her. She still remembers it because that’s when she started to crush on her best friend, but then again it was a long time ago and now her best friend was this person who she thought was an airhead. She looked at him and tried to see if he really resembled anything like ah Fung and he did. Especially the smile.
Raymond closed the lid to the ointment and just as he was about to put it away, he realized that Tavia was staring at him so he moved closer and joked.
“What? Do you now realize that I’m really handsome? Well you’re not so bad yourself.” He commented but got distracted as he stared into her eyes. “In fact…really…pretty too.” He added quietly. He scooted closer and closer to her and she seemed to be doing the same and slowly their lips touched. Tavia tilted her head and Raymond held her hands. After a couple of seconds, they broke apart and Tavia blushed. Raymond apologized and they both stared awkwardly into space.
It was then that Tavia noticed that Raymond still held her hands and her face was the color magenta. She got up abruptly, grabbed her stuff and the key and headed for the door.
“Um…sorry. I forgot I had to do something today. Bye.” She said and dashed out the door. Raymond gave a confused look. First of all, he had no idea why she was so cold after that game with the flour tossing. Second, why did he kiss her? Third, why did she dash out the door like he was some evil human eating monster?
He got up to clean everything up and when he was done and walked towards the door, he realized that he forgot his cell phone and went back to the counter. That’s where he saw his very important locket…opened and the promise that was written inside of it…read. But looking around, he didn’t see the key that opened the locket so how did it open?

Ok I changed the plot again...*sighs* Anyways, I was going to post this last week on Sunday...the last day of summer for me but my internet sucks and was down and school started this week and I didn't get enough sleep and had too much work so I'm updating now. Thanks for being patient with me. The next update might not come till the next weekend though. I've been awfully busy and I could only update because of the long weekend but I'll try my best.
