I was sitting on the edge of Donghae’s bed while he sat in a chair.
“Hmmm. I would say healing is a little bit of earth I guess,” said Donghae.
“I see. Lets get started then.”
“Alright then.” Donghae opened the drawer next to his bed and took out a razor.
“Don’t tell me…” I mumbled. Donghae smiled and slashed his wrist.
“You are crazy.” I told him.
“Don’t worry. Healing remember?” he reminded me. I rolled my eyes.
“Hurry up and heal it then. You’re bleeding like crazy.”
“Okay. To heal, you have to do is send power into the wounded area. Not a lot though like you’re using fire or lightning. Just a tiny bit.” He placed his hand over his wrist and then removed it. The cut was gone.
I grabbed his wrist and examined it. It looked clean as if he never cut it before.
“Wow. It’s really gone,” I said, amazed.
“Well duh. Now you try.” He handed me the razor. “Cut yourself.”
“You make it sound so easy. ‘Cut yourself.’” I grabbed the razor.
“Don’t worry. If you can’t heal yourself, then I’ll do it. I won’t let you bleed to death,” he assured me.
I took a deep sigh. I was nervous. I’ve never cut myself before.
I gulped and made a small but deep cut on my forearm.
“Heal it,” commanded Donghae.
I placed the razor down and then placed my hand on top of the cut.
“Only a little bit of power. Don’t blow your arm off,” said Donghae. I laughed.
I focused on the cut and sent power towards it. I remembered my first lesson with Kyuhyun, the lesson with the dartboard. I concentrated, letting my power die down and through the cut. It tickled but then felt warm. I removed my hand. The cut was gone. The skin was fresh and healed. Even the blood disappeared.
“Wow. That was fast,” complimented Donghae.
I grinned at him. “Did I do good?”
“Of course you did,” he nodded. “Now what?”
“I don’t know. You tell me.”
“I can teach you more healing stuff,” he suggested.
“Okay. Go for it,” I said.
Donghae suddenly stood up and headed for the bathroom. I heard him turn the faucet on and then quickly turned it off. He turned to his chair with a glass of water halfway filled.
“What’s that for?” I asked.
“Just watch,” was all he said.
He set the glass on the desk and placed his hand over it. A few seconds passed by when he moved his hand up slowly. I stared in amazement as the water came up as if he was sucking the water out of the glass. He sucked the water completely out of the glass and held the water in his hand. And then with magic, the ball of water turned into mist.
“What was that?” I asked, trying to hold my jaw in place.
“That was healing. What did you think it was?” He asked.
“I thought that was another element,” I said.
“No. Water isn’t an element but I guess with this type of healing, you can kind of consider water an element,” said Donghae.
“How’d you do that anyway?” I asked.
“Easy. Just release your power into the water and then force the power back into your hand,” explained Donghae.
“So I’m just sucking back the power along with the water.” I said.
“Yeah. Let me get more water and then you try it,” he said, taking the glass back into the bathroom and then returning with a refilled glass.
“Try it,” he said again.
“Okay.” I placed my hand over the glass like Donghae did before. I let my power flow out of my hand and into the cup. The water bubbled up.
“Too much power Sungmin,” said Donghae.
“Sorry.” I relaxed and tried again. The water didn’t bubble so I think I got the right amount of power.
“Force it back in,” I said in my mind over and over again.
Forcing the power back in was hard. I was so use to letting my power out.
When I thought I had the power back in, I moved my hand up but only a little bit of water followed. I let the water fall back down into the glass.
“Don’t worry Sungmin. That was a good try,” said Donghae.
“Not good enough apparently.” I placed my hand back on top and let my power flow down into the water. I tighten my hand and that was when I felt a rush of power entering the palm of my hand. It was working. I moved my hand up and this time all the water followed.
“Good job. Now gather the water up and turn it into a ball,” said Donghae. I nodded.
I controlled the flow of the water, wrapping it close together. It was a rigid ball but it was good enough.
“Turn your power into fire. Burn the water and turn it into mist,” said Donghae.
I did as he said and the ball exploded into a cool mist. That I had no problem with.
“Wasn’t that easy?” asked Donghae, happily.
“It wasn’t easy but it wasn’t that hard,” I said. I yawned.
“Looks like you’re tired,” said Donghae. “It’s almost midnight.”
“I’ll go soon. But can I ask you a question?”
“Sure. Ask away.”
“This healing technique, did you use this to take the poison out of me and Kyuhyun?” I was curious.
“Yeah.”
“Nice technique then.” I smiled at him.
“Thanks,” he said.
Just then, a loud crash was heard outside Donghae’s door. I had a bad feeling about this but I quickly stood up.
“What the hell was that?” Donghae was up too.
“It came from my room,” I said. I really had a bad feeling about this. “Yesung is in there by himself.” I ran out of Donghae’s room.
