The school had fences all over the place, to prevent students from trying to leave the area. The school was located at the base of a mountain. Surrounding the outside of the school was at least miles of grassy plains located on the base before it changed to the rough, jaggy terrain of the mountain.
I climbed 3 flights of stairs, not bothering to take the elevator. I walked around the third floor looking for my room. I reached the end of the hallway and found room 302. I looked across the hall. Room 313, Donghae’s room.
I heard a sudden shuffle in my room and I hurried to unlock the door with my card, thinking that someone went into my room to play a prank on the new kid. It was always common in my old schools. They always pranked me somehow.
As soon as I heard the click, I turned the door knob and rushed in.
“What are you doing—“ A young man was standing next to one of the two beds unpacking a luggage. His body structure was familiar.
The young man stop unpacking looked at me and smiled.
“Hey Sungmin.” He said. My eyes widened.
“Yesung?” I asked. “What are you doing here?”
“I’m your new roommate of course. I asked the dorm leader to put me with you.” He said.
“Dorm leader?” I asked.
“Yeah. His name is Cho Kyuhyun. He seems to be our age. So did you make any new friends yet?”
I scanned my memories of today. “Yeah. I made one. His name is Lee Donghae. His dorm is across the hall.” I said.
“That’s good to hear. I’ve already unpacked your things so you don’t have to worry about them.” He pointed to an empty luggage next to the other bed. “That’s your bed, next to the window.”
“Okay. Thanks. I’m going to take a shower.” I reached for a towel in the closet.
By the time I finish, the sun has begun to set and Yesung was a sleep on his bed. I looked at the digital clock between our beds. It was almost 8. I plan on waking Yesung up until a knock was heard. I opened the door and it was Donghae.
“What’s up Donghae?” I said.
“It’s time for dinner. Dinner starts at 7:50.” He stated.
“Oh. Okay. Let me wake up my roommate.”
“Roommate?” He asked.
“Yeah, one of my childhood friends. His name is Kim Yesung.” I walked back into the room and shook Yesung. His eyes flickered open and he sat up.
“Its time for dinner.” I told him. Yesung rubbed his eyes and said okay. He followed me out the door and we found Donghae leaning against the wall.
“And this is?” Yesung asked me.
“Donghae. The guy I told you about before. Donghae, this is Yesung, my roommate.”
“Nice to meet you.” Yesung held up his hand to shake Donghae’s hand.
Donghae whispered in my ear. “I can’t touch him.”
I whispered back. “Try it. I can touch him and he can touch me without burning.”
Donghae looked at Yesung, who was wondering what we were whispering about.
“Nice to meet you too Yesung.” He took the chance and shook his hand.
Yesung flinched as a small spark entered him. He let go of Donghae’s hand.
“Um…lets go have dinner.” He said warily.
“Yeah. Lets go.” Donghae lead the way. Me and Yesung walked behind him.
“Is he the same?” whispered Yesung.
“What do you mean?” I whispered back.
“A wizard.” He said. I nodded. “Does he know about you? About your powers?” I nodded again.
“How does he know?” he continued.
“Something about seeing my aura.” I looked at him. “How did you know he was a wizard?”
“Well, when he touched me, I felt a spark. Sometimes when I touch you, I feel that same spark.” He said, looking at his hand.
The school cafeteria looked like a buffet restaurant. There were aisles of food and rows of tables and seats.
“You can pick what you want here. Just grab a plate.” Said Donghae, grabbing a plate and fork. We did the same.
After we finished picking out our food, we sat down at a table near the corner. Me and Yesung sat next to each other. Donghae sat across from me. I began eating until someone sat down next to Donghae.
“Hello Yesung.” He said. Yesung looked up from his plate.
“Oh. Kyuhyun.” Said Yesung. Yesung nudged me. “Sungmin. This is Kyuhyun, our dorm leader.”
“So this is the Sungmin that you wanted to share the same room with.” He looked at me. “Nice to meet you, Sungmin.”
I looked at him. “Nice to meet you, Kyuhyun.” I continued eating.
“Nice to see you too Donghae.” Said Kyuhyun. Donghae ignored him.
“Well. I just came to say hello to you guys. Enjoy your dinner.” And with that, Kyuhyun leaves. I watched him leave. When he was near the door, I could have swore that I saw something glowing around him. Was that his aura? I thought to myself. I rubbed my eyes.
“Are you okay?” asked Yesung.
“Uh… I think so.” I told him.
“I’m going to go to the bathroom.” Yesung said, standing up. “I think I’ll be able to find it.” He looked around and left.
I sat in my seat, thinking. A question came up.
“Donghae.” I said.
“Hmm?”
“What are The Dragons?” I asked him.
“Why are you asking?” he said.
“I want to know why they are killing wizards.”
“The Dragons are also wizards but they consider themselves superior to the other wizards. So they are out to kill the ‘weak’ wizards.” He explained.
I looked at him as he took a sip of his soda.
“You said that you knew I was a wizard because you saw my aura.” I started.
“Yeah. What about it?” he asked. I thought about the glow that I saw when I looked at Kyuhyun walking out.
“How does an aura look like?” I asked.
“It’s just a band of light or glow around the entire body. Why are you asking this?” he said.
“Is… the dorm leader a wizard?” I asked. He looked at me as if I was crazy. He took another sip of his soda.
“Yeah.” he said softy. “Me and him are the only wizards in this school. Well now, including you. You saw his aura?”
I nodded slowly. “It’s the first time I’ve seen someone’s aura.” I paused. “How come I don’t see yours?”
“I’m trained. I can hide my aura. Only those who aren’t trained show their aura because they don’t know how to control it.” He said.
“Kyuhyun isn’t trained?” I asked.
“He is. I don’t know why he’s showing it. He’s probably showing off.” He gave a small laugh. Just then, a group of people walked past our table.
“Hey guys look. It’s the new kid hanging out with the creepy Donghae.” One of them said.
“Shut up Wylie.” Said Donghae. Wylie gripped onto Donghae’s shoulder. Donghae glared at him.
“You can’t scare me,” he said. He looked at me. “Yo. New kid, why are you hanging out with this freak?”
I looked at him. “Is it your business?”
He walked towards me. “Don’t act tough.” He leaned towards me. Donghae stood up from his seat and grabbed onto Wylie’s shirt.
“Get away from him!” Donghae warned. Wylie wretched free from Donghae and punched him across the face. Donghae laid on the floor. Someone screamed.
“Like I said, you can’t scare me.” he repeated once more. He turned around and walked towards me again and gripped onto my collar.
“Don’t touch me.” I demanded.
“Or what? Its not like I’m going to burn to death.” He laughed. My eyes widened. ‘Why isn’t he burning? He’s touching me, isn’t he?! He also touched Donghae. What the hell? Why isn’t he bursting into flames?’ I thought to myself.
Wylie slammed me against the wall. “I hate new kids.” He whispered in my ear. I felt power building in my core.
“Let go of me. I’m warning you.” I shouted.
“You can’t do shit to me.” he laughed.
“LEAVE ME ALONE!” My hands released power, sending Wylie flying backwards and slamming himself into the wall. I charged after him and leaped on top of Wylie. Wylie was unconscious. My hand was holding a fireball. I was ready to blast it into his skull until someone gripped on to my hand.
“Stop this right now Sungmin.” It was Kyuhyun. Yesung and Donghae were standing next to him.
“Let go.” I swung my other arm with another fireball but Donghae caught my arm and pinned me down. Kyuhyun and Donghae’s hands were hot and electrical against my skin.
“Sungmin! Relax! Control your powers.” Shouted Yesung. I closed my eyes, trying to relax. The power in my core began to die down.
“I… I’m sorry.” I said. Kyuhyun and Donghae let go of me and I stood up. I looked around the cafeteria. Everyone was staring at me.
Kyuhyun spoke something that I couldn’t understand and the atmosphere seemed to change. Everyone looked confuse.
“Oh my god. What happened?” one asked, pointing at Wylie.
“He got drunk and slammed himself against the wall.” Said Kyuhyun. He looked at me. “Come with me Sungmin. You too, Yesung and Donghae.”
I followed him with Yesung and Donghae walking behind me.
“I’m screwed.” I thought to myself.
I followed Kyuhyun outside of the school. He stopped in his path. Donghae and Yesung stopped behind me.
“What did you think you were doing in there? You could have gotten Wylie killed.” Said Kyuhyun. I looked down.
“I’m sorry.” I said. He gripped onto my wrist, flooding his powers into me.
“Ugh..” I fell down onto my knees. He was strong. It felt like my insides were tearing.
“You need to control your powers.” He said, kneeling down next to me.
“I don’t know how to.” I told him.
“Then you need to learn!” he shouted. He tightened his grip.
“Who am I suppose to learn from?! No one can teach me!” I shouted back. Fire began building up on my hand again. Kyuhyun sent power into me again and the flames died down.
“Then I’ll teach you.” He released my wrist and stood up. I looked at him.
“Are…you serious?” I asked him, standing.
His brown hazel eyes stared straight at me. “I am.” He placed his hand in his pocket and took out a necklace. It was a golden cross with a silver chain. “Wear this around your neck.” He handed it to me.
I placed it on. “What is this suppose to do?” I asked him.
“It’s going to restrict your powers.” He said. “Try it. Release your power like you did before in the cafeteria.”
I closed my eyes and tried to force my power to my hand. It didn’t work. I opened my eyes.
“It didn’t work, did it?” he asked.
“No.” I said.
“Good. Keep wearing it until I figured out what to do with you. In the meantime, Donghae and Yesung will watch you.” He said, walking towards the school.
Donghae and Yesung stared at me.
“Don’t look at me.” I told them
“I can’t believe you.” Yesung said.
“It’s not my fault.” I walked past them. “Just leave me alone.” And I ran back inside the school, back to my room.

This is my first update this year. Woohoo~ lol
Hope everybody have a wonderful and joyful new year.
Yesung and Sungmin each made a new friend, who both happen to be wizards. So the questions now is, who is really Kyuhyun? And who is really Wylie? How will Kyuhyun control Sungmin's powers? What will happen next?
