No one noticed how the uninvited guest made himself comfortable, sipping the tequila while having his eyes on the dimly lit dance floor. There were other couples on the floor but his eyes were only on one couple. The one who was involved in a lip-locking action that they had no idea the whole room was staring at them. He smirked when they both pulled away and saw their friends gaping at them.

"What are they so shock about anyway" he whispered, swirling his drink in the glass. "Strangers will turn to friends...friends will turn to lovers...and soon...they're going to hate each other"

The bartender, who was cleaning out a few glasses, gave him a quizzical look but the unknown guest simply winked at him. He finished his drink and saluted the bartender. "Thanks" he said before hopping off the stool, dusted his blazer and walked towards the door. Before leaving the room, he threw one last glance at the scene, his eyes fixed on the redhead. He narrowed his eyes seeing the tall guy having his arm around her shoulder and holding her closely. "Easy does it tiger" he told himself as he clenched his fist before walking out of the room, his footsteps echoing in the empty lobby. His hands reached into his pocket, fingering the cigarette case and he smiled to himself. He badly needs one, right now.

At the first floor, near the hotel's mini cafe, a lady leaned against a column, while waiting for her ride. Her driver had called her, saying that traffic was congested at the moment, and he'll be slightly late. She sighed and looked at her watch for the umpteenth time. Why can't SY picked her up? Oh..that's right. She's busy shooting her new drama. Rats. She sighed another time and chewed on the gum. She had been chewing on it for the past twenty minutes when she started eating on those garlic breadrolls upstairs. She had told herself to avoid those carbs, but the sight of it was too tempting. Just like Changmin.

"Omo! You're Soo Min right?" a young girl's voice squealed, snapping Soo-Min out of her reverie. She turned around to see a teenage girl looking at her with eyes as big as saucers and clutching onto a magazine. Soo Min immediately recognized it as the latest issue of BELLE. She was on the cover page, along with two models, wearing her latest spring collection. Soo Min smiled brightly at the girl. "How can I help you?" she asked politely.

"C..Could you autograph this?" the girl asked, holding out the magazine. "I'm a big fan..I know you're new..but when I saw your work, it was BAM! I really love it" she gushed, giving her a pen.

Soo Min scribbled her signature and chuckled. "You study fashion?" she asked. The girl nodded. "It's my first year actually" she replied.

"Well, good luck then. Make sure you put your all in your works araso?" Soo Min advised her. The girl beamed as she took back the magazine and pen. "Thanks! Same goes to you!" she said before skipping off happily.

Soo Min spit out her gum into a tissue paper and then tossed it into a nearby bin. Fans. That's something new she has to adjust to these days. She actually didn't plan on being...well-known...but SY was so good at persuading that she was left with no choice. The night when she climbed on stage with her celebrity cousin and having the paparazzi shouting questions and taking pictures of them together--it was completely bizarre! And almost suffocating as well. She had actually wanted the night to end when she stepped out of the stage but SY had pulled her insisting that she must meet someone.

"Aish Unnie. Do we have to?" she had grumbled but SY, ever the persistent one had pushed her to Shim Changmin and then leaving them alone. And it doesn't take a blind person to know what game her cousin was playing at. But after meeting Changmin, she had wished that the night did not end so early. Changmin was...different that the other guy she had met. He was...considerate..and ever the gentleman. There was something about she could not put her fingers to it. Ever since the night of the fashion show, she had developed some sort of...a minor crush on the guy and when SY teased her about the photos of the two of them in HOTSHOT, she had blushed furiously and SY teased her even more.

"Stupid" Soo Min muttered to herself as she walked across the hotel lobby, pushed the glass doors and shivered slightly at the chill air. Her eyes spotted someone smoking on her right hand side, at the bottom of the steps. She walked down the steps but making sure she keep a good distance from the guy since she dislike smokers. She stole a quick glance at the guy and almost tripped when she set eyes on his flawless handsome features. It was only a side view profile but it was enough to tell her what a Greek God this guy is, with those bangs falling nicely over his eyes. When he placed the cigarette butt on his lips, Soo Min walked away, hoping that the driver will get here quickly.

"Nadine...Nadine Celeste Arena...what a big joke you are" Jaejoong muttered under his breath. He crushed the cigarette butt onto the stairs and flicked it away. "You can't run away from me Nadine" he whispered as he stood up and stretched his arms over his head. There was a movement at the corner of his eyes and he turned slowly.

"Well...if it isn't that young fashion tween" Jaejoong mused and then he started laughing quietly to himself. People may blind at the little things when they are in love but he was trained to see everything. He had witnessed how Changmin had tossed Soo Min aside and chose to be with Nadine instead. "That bastard" Jaejoong muttered under his breath. What a way to treat a lady. Especially a fragile looking one that was already holding a candle for him. And now the candle's been snub and poor little Soo Min is out here in the cold. Jaejoong casually walked over to her, hoping to make some friendly bonding.

Soo Min heard the footsteps coming from behind her and she swallowed. "Hey there" the guy called out. Soo Min counted to three before facing the guy. She tried hard not to pay attention to his handsome features again. "Yes?" she asked.

"How come you're not inside? I saw you at the dinner just now. Party too lame for you?" he asked. Soo Min frowned and the guy laughed bitterly. "Sorry. I can be..too straightforward at times" he said.

Soo Min crossed her arms, obviously not pleased with the guy's attitude. Plus, he was reeking of alcohol and cigarette. The guy's probably drunk. "The name's Jaejoong. Kim Jaejoong" the guy introduced himself.

"I'm--

"I know who you are. My co-workers at work talks about you. They're big fans" Jaejoong told her. Soo Min gave him a brief smile and checked her watch, Where is that darn driver?!

"So you know Changmin huh?" Jaejoong suddenly asked. Soo Min gave him a sideway glance. Should she answer that question? She was about to reply when the hotel front door burst opened and laughter could be heard. Her heart started pumping a bit faster when she saw Changmin coming down the stairs but disappointment washed over her as his girlfriend, Nadine, the Art teacher, came into view. Changmin was holding her hand and laughing at something she was saying. The couple was not aware that both she and Jaejoong were watching them since they were hidden in the shadows and she wished that right now, the floor will open up and swallow her when Changmin suddenly planted a kiss onto Nadine's lips before she got into his car. That kiss...Soo Min should be the one having that kiss...not Nadine...

Soo Min shook her head at the useless thought. Why was she even thinking that way anyway? As Changmin's car drove off into the night, Soo Min let out a soft sigh and then she heard Jaejoong chuckling beside her. She threw him a confused look and they guy winked at her. "What do you want?" she asked him in a harsh tone.

"I don't want anything...but I know what YOU want" Jaejoong said and then he tilted his chin. "Your ride's here" he added before taking off his blazer and putting it over Soo Min's bare shoulders. "You might need this. Don't catch a cold!" he said before walking off the other direction.

Soo Min stared after him just as the car pulled up in front of her. "Mianhe. I didn't meant to make you wait" the driver apologized to her as he opened the door.

"It's okay. Take me home now" Soo Min ordered him. As she settled in the car, she took off Jaejoong's blazer and to her surprise, the suit didn't smell of the alchocol and cigaratte smoke that her nose had picked up just now. Maybe it was her imagination. She smoothed down a crease on the cloth and then start to wonder how she's going to return the blazer to him. Come to think of it, who the heck was he? As her fingers ran down the smooth material of the blazer, she felt something in the pocket and she took it out. A namecard. Jaejoong's namecard. "How convenient" she said to herself reading the club name and street address. He must have purposely left it inside the blazer.

Jaejoong speed down the highway and dialled Nadine's number at the same time. After a few rings, his call was directed to voice mail. Jaejoong smriked and tossed his phone at the passenger seat.

"Someone's having too much fun already. Tsk..tsk..too much of it might ruin your health Nadine" Jaejoong muttered as he turned into a sharp corner, the tires squealing in the empty night. As he parked his car in front of Red Maroon, he took a moment to take a breather. It was a...habit of him to act foolishly when things didn't go his way. But this time, he doesn't wish for things to get nasty cause he knows that the things will fall into place nicely.

It will take time. But Kim Jaejoong needs to learn patience in order to get what he wants.
