“No.” Rainie replied from where she was sitting on his computer desk.
“Oh. I’ll tell him then. What are you doing?” Ethan walked around and leaned over Rainie’s shoulder. He breathed in her honeysuckle scent and then gave in to temptation and kissed her neck.
Rainie swatted at him. “I’m reading about how I and Show Luo went on a trip to Hawaii.”
Ethan’s eyes darkened with jealousy. He twirled her chair around and looked at her sternly. “No trips to Hawaii unless they are with me.”
“No, you dork. It’s in the tabloids.” Rainie laughed, reaching out and ruffling his hair.
“Oh. Whew. Where’s my phone?” Ethan asked.
Rainie rolled her eyes and slipped her hand into his shirt pocket and pulled out his phone. Ethan blew her a kiss and dialed Joe’s number.
“You’d better be a turkey sandwich.” Joe’s voice mumbled.
“No. But I own a turkey though.” Ethan grinned at Rainie who scowled.
“What do you want, Ethan. You interrupted a very good dream.”
“Let me guess, about food?”
“Obviously. I said it was a GOOD dream.”
“Haha. Listen, I’m having a barbeque later this evening. You are coming.”
“Of course. Food and me missing? Hah. As if. But hmm, I’m meeting Yi Chen for lunch so I’ll just come over with her. Kay?”
“Cool. So I’ll see you then.” As Ethan hung up, he felt something very sharp and cold on his neck. He swallowed.
“Who did you call a turkey just now?” Came a misleadingly sweet voice. Ethan thought fast. “My sister.” He finally said.
“Good boy.” Rainie tapped his cheek with a spoon and walked to the door.
“Allie, your brother just told me you remind him of a turkey!” She called out.
Ethan groaned.
