Ming-Ming pushes the cart to other sections, she found a wine bottle that Hiu Chung was looking for on the shelf and reaches up to take it…suddenly her hand touches some other hand, she quickly withdraw it, “I am sorry.” She said quietly and looks up.
Chi Lam was standing there with the wine bottle in his hand. “Ming-Ming? Oh, what a coincidence! Do you want this…?” he pushes the bottle to her, “Uh, yeah, hi, no….you got it first, it should be yours. It’s fate, it’s not mine, and then no matter what I try it won’t be mine.”
She said looking into his eyes, Chi Lam felt the deep meaning from her sayings, and he lowers his head and put the wine bottle back on the shelf. “I know…you don’t belong to me anymore…” he said turning and walk away.
Ming-Ming looks after him, she felt hurt but…what else could she do, they couldn’t keep their relationship like this anymore, she has a family and it’s time for him to move on, she doesn’t want to be a obstacle in the middle of his way. She nodded and turns the other way.
Ming-Ming purchases all the supplies and head on out, at the parking lot she saw Chi Lam again, they nodded and Chi Lam went over to help her put things in her trunk.
“Where are you going?” he asks, “To pick up Jackie.” “Oh, where’s he?” Chi Lam asks, “At mother and father’s house,” Ming-Ming said smiling, “It’s have been long, isn’t it? Since the last visit?” Ming-Ming nodded, “Yeah, anyway, thank you, I have to go now, Jackie is waiting for me, I’ll talk to you later.”
She said getting in the car, he closes the door for her and she started the car. She wave goodbye at him and drive away.
Chi Lam looks after her car until he couldn’t see it anymore, he’s glad that they came back to be friend, but he want more than just friends.
“Morning mom!” “Ming-Ming, you came really early…” her mom said, “yeah, I miss Jackie, where is he?” “Gardening with his grandpa outside” her mom said smiling and pulling her down at the tea table, “here, sis Lan has made apple tea, your favorite kind, tries some.” Her mom said.
Ming-Ming nodded and tries some, they talk some more about her moving into Hong Kong, how does she feel and how is her house, “Um, Mom, Hiu Chung and I really like to invite you and dad to our new house soon so we could like…you know barbeque and have times together.” Ming-Ming smiles, her mom thought for a little while and nodded in agreement, “That’s sound great Ming-Ming, how about next Saturday?” “That’ll be perfect, mom.”
“What perfect?” they turn around and saw dad with Jackie, “Morning dad…” Ming-Ming said, “Mommy!!!” Jackie run into her arms, “Good morning honey how’s last night? Enjoy with grandma and grandpa?” “Yeah, oh my goodness mommy, you have to see grandpa’s garden it’s huge…” they started to laugh at Jackie’s cute round eyes and puppy face.
“We were just talking about you and mom coming over my house next weekend dad,” Ming-Ming said, “That’ll be great Grandpa, come…I have to show you my room.” Jackie said, they talk for a little more and then Ming-Ming excused her and Jackie to go home.
Ming-Ming were driving and listening to Jackie’s stories at the sleepover. She was turning the car when the light on green, but there was a truck coming straight at her car. She heard herself and Jackie screaming, and then everything was dark with siren sounds…
Hiu Chung was watching TV news when he felt a painful shot in his heart; he felt that something is not right like something bad has happened to his beloved woman and…child. It’s harsh and he quickly picks up the phone dial in Ming-Ming’s number, it rings a couple of times but then…
“Hello, this is Ming-Ming, I am sorry I am not available now please leave me a few words and I’ll call you later.” He shuts the phone and starts pacing around the house, feeling more and more worry, he looks outside, and the sky turn dark rain started to pour down…
Chi Lam was driving home, feeling his heart tearing from her words; suddenly her images came into his mind vividly like she was calling for help. His instincts tells him that something has happened to her, his body lost control he just felt all worry and he doesn’t know why he turns his car to the hospital.
At this time, the ambulance was taking Ming-Ming and Jackie to the hospital, "Check her pulse..." one of the nurse said, "Really weak, she's carrying a baby, she's losing blood and her water broke, I afraid..." "Shh...I know, we got to do best for her, I hope that we'll be in the hospital in time to keep the baby." the main doctor said.
"Doctor, the kid is injured badly, he's lost a lot of blood and we couldn’t keep hold of the wound, blood is still gaping out." "Check his pulse," "Weak!" "I'll hand over; you go take care of the woman..."
Ming-Ming was unconscious she has a dream, about back then, how she, Chi Lam and Hiu CHung were all best friend, they were hanging out in a field. Chi Lam and Hiu CHung were catching a butterfly for her, but then everything turns black and dark, their images explode into little pieces, leaving her alone...really scare, she doesn’t know what to do.
"Doctor, her pulse is going down..."

Continue in chapter 12, is it the end of everything? Ming-Ming will die? Jackie will die? Or there's still something...?
