A moment later in Ming-Ming’s room:
Her parents, Jackie and Hiu Chung were gathering around her beds, “Daddy, you don’t remember me? I am Jackie…,” Jackie said, plunging onto Hiu Chung’s arm, he smiles at the little kid and patted his head, ‘You’re really cute…but…I am sorry, I don’t really have any ideas if I saw you…or know you…before…” Hiu Chung said, and tears fell down from Jackie’s eyes, “Daddy, you said, you love me the most, don’t you remember, Jackie loves you too, why did you forget about me daddy?’ Jackie asks, and some images starts to flow into his head.
Blurry images:
“Aw, look Ming-Ming, Jackie, he’s crawling…” Hiu Chung said, holding a camera recording Jackie’s first baby crawl. Ming-Ming smiles, “Jackie, here, smile, smile, Jackie…” Ming-Ming said, waving the toys, and Jackie slowly crawls over, catching the toy and smiling.
End of blurry images:
“Ahhh” Hiu Chung clutches onto his head, Jackie and Ming-Ming, those names are familiar, but he didn’t remember where they came from. Just then Ming-Ming woke up, and she found Hiu Chung, kneeling on the ground in pain. Her heart tears, she got up and kneels down next to him, she wraps her arms around him. “I am sorry Hiu Chung, I am sorry…for causing you all of this pains…” she said, tears tremble down, and she gently removes his hands from his head, Hiu Chung slowly opens his eyes, and looks into hers, “Ming-Ming…” he said, those eyes, teary, red, and sad, they’re really familiar…
“Yes?” Ming-Ming said, a light of hope filled in her eyes. He still stares at her, she smiles lightly and grabs his hand, she held it in hers and leans over, she landed a soft kiss on his lip, his body felt warm and tingly, those lip of her, they has touches his before…but when…? The questions keep on flowing into him; he knew that the woman in front of him right now is a really important person in his life…but he just couldn’t figures out who she is.
Chi Lam (Okie, back to Ray, ready guys?), after going back and forth back and forth like a crazy person in front of the gate, Chi lam finally rips up his tickets and looks up. “Why do I have to run away? Jackie is my son, Ming-Ming…she loves me too, right? We are suppose to be a family, she’s really weak now, I am the only one who could console her, why would I want to run away? Stupid Chi Lam, you know you love Ming-Ming, come back and help her out.” He said to himself and he smiles, he dump the ticket into a trash can near by and went to a taxi.
“Did you guys heard? That one man, his name is Hiu Chung, he woke up, but he forgot everything about his wife and son, poor family…why did such thing happened to them..?” nurses and people were gossiping, those words hit Chi Lam’s ears, and he could felt the pain that Ming-Ming is in right now. Hiu Chung has woke up…but he lost his memories? Chi Lam quickly rushes to Ming-Ming’s room, from behind the door, he saw that she was on the floor hugging him and Jackie, her parents were crying. He felt his heart tighten…he decided not to interrupt their family so he went back to his house.
He slips in the door, the emptiness filled the little apartment, and his heart, lonely, there’s nothing to do…he starts to recall the memories:
~Flashback~
“Ha ha, Ming-Ming, you called this soup?” Chi Lam said wrapping his arms around her waist and makes fun with her half cooked soup, Ming-Ming blushes brightly; she looks down at her feet and pushes Chi Lam away. “Fine, if you don’t think this is soup, then I won’t cook again, never, and I’ll throw…” Chi Lam leans forward and kisses her; he took a bowl and got the soup out. “After all it’s you first time cooking, I have to supports you right, my wifey?” her heart warm up, he’s so nice. He ate it, and it taste horrible, but he still didn’t wipes that smiling face off, she stares at him and she looks concern, “How is it?” she asks, “It’s yummy…” he said, and she grabs the spoon to get a taste, “No, I want to finish this all on my own, it’s so good.” He said, but too late, she has tasted it and spit it back out. “Chi Lam…” she looks at him, “Why do you have to force yourself…this stuff taste so bad.” She said, Chi Lam didn’t say a words, he just smiles, he reaches his hand over and stroke her soft cheek, “Ming-Ming, I love you, I am happy to do anything that will make you happy…” he said, and she broke into tears… “Thank you Chi Lam…I love you too…a lot…”
~end of Flashback~
The images broke into pieces, tears lit down on his eyes, didn’t he said he would do anything to make her happy, how could he…how could he hurts her in front of everyone at their wedding days. He slides down and leans back onto the door, he burry his face down into his knee, “I am sorry…” he whispers to the dark.
Ming-Ming and Hiu Chung took a walk alone in the park; her parents were upstairs taking care of Jackie. She tells him about their past, how their wedding is like, their honeymoon and their life back in America.
“Why did we move to Hong Kong then…?” he asks her, she looks back up at him and force a smile, he notice, “Never…” he was cut off, “We moved here because of your works…” she said simply, “Did something happened here? How come I got in the car crash?” he asks her, “I…” she sighs, and pulls him over to the bench, “Yes, a lot of things has happened…” she said, “Yes, it was all my fault.” She was cut by a familiar voice, they turns around and with surprise, Chi Lam was walking to them.
“Chi Lam…” Hiu Chung said out of nowhere, Ming-Ming turns around, “Hiu Chung, you remember him?” she asks, “I…I don’t know…” Chi Lam smiles and came over to sit at the bench with them. “Hiu Chung tries to remember and he felt a stab on his heart when he tries, Chi lam….who is he? “No, I am sorry…I don’t remember anything…” he lies, Ming-Ming’s face lit down, and she bit her lowers lip, then she looks up again, with a light smile, “It’s ok, everything will be fine…I am sure you’ll recall the memories soon enough.” Ming-Ming said and Chi Lam agrees. They sat there and talk for a bit, until Hiu Chung have to go back and do his daily check up.
The bird chirping and the sun lights dancing around Chi Lam and Ming-Ming, they looks at each other and smiles awkwardly, “I thought you left…” Ming-Ming finally said, Chi Lam just smiles, “Yes, I thought I did too, but when I was at the airport, something was not right, I felt like I need to stay here.” He paused and looks at Ming-Ming, who was listening and playing with her fingers; he reaches out to her hands and held them in his. She looks up and he smiles, “I has promise to do anything to make you happy…now, Hiu Chung is like that, I wanted to help you…if you’re happy with him then I am fine, I will leave as soon as he recall all the memories, and let you guys be a happy family…I’ll just watch you silently from a distance…” he said, she felt the warm, tears filled her eyes, “Chi Lam…” she couldn’t think of anything to say, her mind totally went blank, he puts his hands on her cheek and wipes the tears, “Ming-Ming, be strong, I promise to not make you cry again, now please don’t…” he assures her, and she nodded and held in the tears. Her heart tightens, he said he would leave her, but she needed him, she loves him, however Ming-Ming felt guilty when Hiu Chung hits back into her mind, he’s her husband…she have to be honest and royal to him…she can’t be with Chi lam…can she?
