Hiu Chung, Ming-Ming and Jackie finally get discharge from the hospital, Jackie went back to school and everything seems to be fine, he made lots of friends and they help him catch up on the school works, through this time, he’s staying with his grandparents so that Ming-Ming, Hiu Chung and Chi Lam could spend times together, and hopefully it would give Hiu Chung a chance to remembers some stuff. They have fun together, and went to many places.
One day:
“This church…” Hiu Chung said while they were on the taxi, Ming-Ming’s heart sank, she look at the church, and she glances over to Chi Lam, he has his head down, “Can we go in there? It looks familiar…” Hiu Chung said, looking over to her, Ming-Ming tries to hold back her tears, “Sure…of course…” the taxi pulls in and the three got out.
Hiu Chung pushes the wooden gate open, and there, the church, the familiar church in front of them.
~Flashback~
“Miss Ming-Ming, do you promise to love this man, to accept him as your husband, to be there with him when he’s hurt and everything?” the pastor asks her, she glances over to Chi Lam and nodded, “Yes, I do…” she said, smiling, she’s getting marry, she’s so excited, the person who stands next to her, Chi Lam, he’s everything to her…and now she’s finally with HIM.
“Mr. Chi Lam, do you promise…” the pastor got cut, “NO, I DON’T” Chi Lam yells out, and Ming-Ming looks over to him, her heart shatter along with all the happy thought, everyone stood up and stares at the couple. Tears quickly welled up in Ming-Ming’s puffy red eyes, “Chi Lam…?” He turns around, “Ming-Ming, why did you lie to me?” he yells at her, “Lies? What did I do?” she asks, confuse. “You go around and spread out my project didn’t you, except for you I couldn’t think of anyone who would know me that well.” “Chi Lam, what are you talking about, why I would do that, I love you.” Ming-Ming said, holding his arm, he pushes her hard and she fell on the floor, the bouquet of BLUE BELLS in her hand tremble off and shed away, “Chi lam,” “Ming-Ming, stop lying, who else would know my plan beside you?” he asks, harshly, she stood up and stares into his eyes, her heart ache, and tears flow down freely, “Chi Lam, do you really think I am that kind of person…? Who would betray you…? Do you…perhaps trust me…?” she asks, hope for a yes, but all he does was looking down, and shook his head, “How could I…?” he asks her, she slaps him as hard as she could and ran out of the church, the white cover thingy on her head flew off, everyone gazes follow her, some people felt pity some felt bad some even giggles.
Her heart sank, she wanted to die…but…she touches her tummy, the baby…the baby…she have to live for it…even if it mean…she have to be a single mother.
Ming-Ming sat in the park, crying, her hopes are all gone…
“Ming-Ming…” a warm voice, she looks up…hope it would be Chi Lam, her eyes filled up with tears again, “Hiu Chung…?”
~End of flashback~
“I am sorry; I don’t really want to stay here…” Ming-Ming said, running out of the church, Hiu Chung didn’t move a bit, but Chi Lam chases after her. “Ming-Ming,” Chi Lam finally get his chance to grabs her wrist, her bracelets dangling as she stops and fell back into his arms. Her eyes were puffy and red. “I am sorry,” Chi Lam said, embracing her tightly inside his arms, Ming-Ming shook her head, “It’s ok,” she said, pushing out from his arms. “I am fine,” she said, simply and coldly, she turns around and wipes the tears herself, Chi lam clench his hands together, he remembers that day too, where he dump her in front of everybody at their own wedding day. He knew how much he has hurt her, she was running away in tears, some people were giggles some were pointing and gossiping, there was only one guy who stood up and ran after her…and that guy was…Hiu Chung, by this Chi Lam has fully thrown his most beautiful love one into someone else’s arms. Regrets? Of course he do regret it, regret for what he did, but what else could he do? He reaches his hand out, wanting to touch her shoulder, but then he pulled it back to his side. They stood there, silently, only their breathing and Ming-Ming’s sobbing could be heard.
Back to the church, Hiu Chung slide down on a bench row, he closes his eyes and recalls the memories. He actually has, but told neither Chi Lam nor Ming-Ming, he didn’t want to get in their way. On that day, he was sitting on this same row, same position, staring up at the beautiful girl in a white wedding gown that he has been longing. She’s getting married with one of his bestfriend; he couldn’t do anything else but say “CONGRATULATION” to them. He sighs, the beautiful girl then ran out of the church, crying, her bride cover sheet fell off and landed on the floor, without any thoughts, he just shot up and went after her. He thought he got her, he consoled her and she married him, they has a happy life in the America if he didn’t get promoted to Hong Kong then nothing would happened, and now he lost her…tears slip down on his face, Moses felt hurt, but through out the days he spent with Chi Lam and Ming-Ming, he knew Ming-Ming only loves him because she felt guilty and wrongful for what she has done, the one who she truly loves is Chi Lam, so he was afraid that he will lose her. He pretended to not recover yet, it’s a lie, but at lease Ming-Ming was there for him…he thought, but he felt wrong now, “Sorry Ming-Ming, I’ll tell you everything when you got back.” He promised himself.
Ming-Ming and Chi Lam still stood there, she finally calm down and her tears stop flowing, she turns around and smiles at him, ‘I am sorry,” she said softly, “I am all fine now, let us go back and check on Hiu Chung,” she said, he looks into her eyes and pulls her into his arm, embraces her tightly, doesn’t want to lets go…
