Chi Lam still have the half hearted charm hanging on his phone, he held it in his hand, from the day at the mountain to now, Ming-Ming has promise to call him whenever she’s in danger. But she haven’t calls him for so long since the day she left with Chung. Chi Lam could figure there must be some bad thing happen or else she wouldn’t call. He finally makes up his mind and calls her back. He quickly flips his phone open, dialing in her number.
America: 2007
Ming-Ming has gone to the bathroom to wash her face. She left her phone in the main office of the mall with Hiu-Chung. The phone rang, and Lam’s number appears on the screen. “Chi Lam?” Hiu-Chung looks at Ming-Ming’s phone and questioned himself. Ming-Ming and Chi Lam still contact each other? Why? Isn’t she my wife? Stupid questions start to pop in his mind. What the heck is wrong with me? I am supposed to trust Ming-Ming; she’s not that kind of woman. Than he pick up, “Hello? Ming-Ming? I was about to hang up.” “SO, it’s you Chi Lam?”

Chi Lam was shocked when he heard Hiu Chung voice, one of his best friend, best partner, and the one who console Ming-Ming’s soul after he dumped her at their very own wedding. “Hiu Chung…?” he said, his face got some what paler.
Chi Lam’s eyes are red and teary. He felt as if his heart is stab by many knives. He didn’t know what else to say. Half of his soul, he hated Hiu Chung for taking Ming-Ming away from him. The other half, he blame himself for what he did to Ming-Ming, he has suspect that Hiu Chung have an affair with Ming-Ming. But after all he knew he was wrong, it was just a misunderstood that broke them apart, and also gives Hiu Chung a chance to fly away with Ming-Ming.
“I got the wrong number. Sorry, bye.” That’s all Chi Lam could say. He felt…ashamed, pains and regrets. He doesn’t know what else to say, all he could do is escape. Tears start to form on his face. He lay down on the bed, pull the sheet over him, and close his eyes, hoping to ease all the sadness, all the pain and her images. The night is long, all he does was twist and turns, trying to escape the painful memory, try to forget Hiu Chung voice…

“Hello? Hello? Chi Lam, are you there?” Hiu Chung speak into the phone, the half hearted charm on Ming-Ming’s phone dangle, it develop a crack, the crack would never heal, like what Chi Lam has done to her, everything has already happened, time couldn’t go back. She approach Hiu Chung, “Honey, was my phone ringing?” she asks, “No, not really. It’s just an advertisement call.” As he answer, he quickly press delete caller ID. “OH.” She fall down next to him, clutch onto his muscular arm, “Will we be able to find Jackie? Would he…be gone forever?” “Silly, he won’t be gone, we will find him. Don’t worry. Where have you searched?” “Stores that Jackie likes, places we would normal go…” “Have you checked the parking lots??” “No.” Ming-Ming shook her head, “Lets go, maybe Jackie is waiting at your car.”
Hiu Chung pulls her up, “Oh yes, why didn’t I think of that at first.” Then hand in hand, they hurry off to the parking lots. They look around, calling out their son’s name. Finally, they heard the sober sound of Jackie. He was standing next to Ming-Ming’s Honda. They hurry over; she pulls him into her arm. “Jackie, where have you been? Mommy was really worried.” She said as tears roll down, Hiu Chung quickly kneels down beside his wife, he put his arms around her and Jackie, “It’s ok, and you two stop crying.” “I am sorry mommy; I was waiting for long in the store…” he stops, crying, “than you didn’t come back. So I came out here…” HE cries harder. “Oh, Jackie, Mommy so sorry. Don’t worry, I am here I wont never let this happen to you again my baby.” She said, leaning her face onto Jackie shoulder. Hiu Chung tightens his arms around them and smiles, “Ok, let’s go home guys…” he announces.
“Ming-Ming, is Jackie asleep?” Hiu Chung puts his magazine down and looks up at her, she nodded, “Ok, let’s go to sleep.” He got off the massage chair and climb on the bed. Ming-Ming suddenly pulls him into a hug from the back. “Thank you Hiu Chung, if you were not with me today…I don’t know what will happen!” “Silly, I am your husband, and Jackie’s dad, I suppose to be there for you guys.” He smiles and turns her around. He uses his thumps to wipes some tears that were falling on her cheek. Looking into her eyes, he seems to be mesmerized; he seems to forget everything around him. He knows he cannot let this woman go lose, she’s the only one for him, and his heart is fully given out to her.
Slowly, their lips touches, he closes his eyes as he gives her the sweetness and shows her how much he love her in his kiss. (Sorry for interrupting, =D but I felt so perverted…ha ha…ok continue in reading) But Ming-Ming’s eyes weren’t close, she widened it instead, she does not seem comfortable. Instead she felt…weird, kissing her husband like this and feels this way is not what she wanted. It’s totally different from the kisses that once she has shared with Chi Lam. Hiu Chung wrap his arms around her and deepen his kiss, as the very same time, Ming-Ming’s eyes were filled with tears.
She bit her lower lip trying to pull back her feelings as long as her tears. She could feel her body is all burn in his hug, but she also could feels herself being tear a part in his warmness. Ming-Ming moves away from his kiss, Hiu Chung stares at her. “Let’s go to live…” she said finally and pull him down, they lies in silent…and Ming-Ming couldn’t help but feeling ashamed. She is with her husband now, but in her heart there was another guy image and she also refusing the kiss from her own husband. Ming-Ming slid her eyes shut and lean into Hiu Chung’s arms. This is the only way she could do now to forget. As long as she’s in Hiu Chung’s arms, she won’t think about Chi Lam anymore. Under the cover of thick warm blanket.
“Good morning.” Hiu Chung greets Ming-Ming as he steps out of the bathroom; he came over and kisses her forehead. She blushes and looks up into his eyes. He smiles sweetly, “My wife always look cute when she’s blushing…” he said. She lowers her head as her face got redder. “Ok, I’ll make breakfast for you and Jackie today.” He said, he lean and grabbed a white shirt, then run off to the kitchen.
