ok...so last chapter Charm and Moses are moving to HK, so let see who they will bump into in the airport. =D Enjoy reading. =D
America: 2007
“Jackie, sit still, the plane’s going to depart in 10 minutes.” Ming-Ming said as she buckle Jackie up in his seat. “Ming-Ming, if you’re tire, just close your eyes and rest, when we get to San Francisco, I’ll wake you up.” Hiu Chung suggested.
“It’s ok, I am fine, don’t worry.” She smiles at Hiu Chung, she turns back and looks at Jackie, he’s sleeping peacefully, and his game boy was in his hand. She reaches over and remove it, she pull the blanket up and tuck it under his chin. She sat back down next to Hiu Chung and saw that he was sleeping, “So you’re the one who is tired.” She smiles and shook her head. She lean in and kiss him softly, than she put his head on her shoulder and wrap the blanket around them. “Sleep in, you got a lot to do when we got to Hong Kong.” She whispers.
“Are you ok Ming-Ming?” Hiu Chung said following after her to the bathroom (their own bathroom, business airplane) she threw up in there. “What happen? Did you eat something unclean?” Ming-Ming keep on throwing up, after she finish she wash her face and went outside. Her face is pale; she looks at him and falls into his arms. Luckily he caught her, “I am so tire, my head hurt, I don’t think I eat anything unclean…I don’t know…”
“Let’s go back Ming-Ming, you need to get some sleep…” She nodded, he help her get back to her seat. “I am so scare Hiu Chung,” she cries, maybe she got depress from moving back to Hong Kong, “Why?” “I don’t know I just feel all nervous…and I don’t really know, I am just scare.” “Don’t worry, I am here with you,” he held her hands in his and hugged her, “Silly, don’t cry, you should be happy, we’re moving back to our hometown, you going to see your mother and father…so don’t cry.”
She leans on his shoulder and nodded. “Now, get some sleep, and get well, we still have a long way…” he smiles at her and kiss her lip gently but deeply. Ming-Ming kiss him back, at this moment she felt that he’s really really important to her. Ming-Ming closes her eyes and rest in his arms.
“Daddy, what happen to mommy?” Jackie asks, “Jackie, sit tight, mommy is tire…” “Aww, mommy, will a kiss make mommy feel better daddy?” “Yeah, especially from you my naughty son.” Jackie lean over and kiss his mom cheek. Hiu Chung just smiles and wishes that Ming-Ming hasn’t fall asleep yet to see how sweet Jackie is. He kiss Ming-Ming’s forehead and fall asleep himself too.
Hong Kong 2007
“Wow, finally here, do you feel excited Ming-Ming, Jackie?” Hiu Chung smiles at Ming-Ming, who was in his arms. She nodded lightly, Jackie look at them and whine “Daddy?? Is there someone to pick us up…? Jackie is hungry.” “There should be, that what my boss told me.” Then they start strolling around looking for the person. Hiu Chung spotted a guy with the signs of his last name on it and the company. “Hey, I think I saw him Ming-Ming, let’s go over.” He pulls Ming-Ming by the hand.
“Hi there, I am Hiu Chung, the person you’re waiting for.” Hiu Chung said, Chi Lam is shock when he heard Hiu Chung’s voice. He quickly put the signs down, and in front of him, is his best friend and the most enchanted girl he has been longing to see for these years. Next to them is a little boy, about 6 years old. They all look at each other, in shock.
Hiu Chung decides to break the tense silence among them, he raises his hand out, “Chi Lam, it has been years since we last meet. Really happy to see you again.” Chi Lam shook Hiu Chung’s hand, still staring at Ming-Ming. She turns and looks away. “Yeah, how have you guys been? How is life in America?” “We’re cool… what about you; it has been years, are you married?”
Ming-Ming turns and look at them, “No…I am not that lucky.” Chi Lam just smiles, and he kneel down to the kid, “Hi there, what's your name?” “Mommy said doesn’t tell people information about yourself when you first meet someone.” Hiu Chung and Chi Lam burst out laughing, they didn’t notice the uncomfortable and tire look on Ming-Ming face. Hiu Chung came over and place his arms around Jackie, “Jackie, how silly are you, uncle is our friend, he’s not an outsider. Now, say hi and tell him your name Jackie.” “Why, you just call “Jackie” in front of him, he know my name already.” They laugh at Jackie’s innocent again.
Chi Lam notice that Ming-Ming’s face is pretty pale. He was about to asks but suddenly she collapses and Chi Lam threw out his arms to catch her. “Ming-Ming, Ming-Ming, are you ok? What happened?” he shook her, “Mommy, mommy…” Jackie came over. Hiu Chung looks at Chi Lam then at Ming-Ming, Chi Lam still loves Ming-Ming a lot. “Come on, we have to take Ming-Ming to the hospital.” Hiu Chung suggested, but his phone rang. “Hello? Oh, hi, right now? Oh really? Ok, I’ll be there than.” Hiu Chung looks at Chi Lam, “I am sorry, the big boss just call, I have to come in the company right now for a quick meeting. Would you take Ming-Ming to the hospital please?” “Of course, I’ll take care of Ming-Ming and Jackie, go do your work.” Chi Lam said, then Hiu Chung left.
Chi Lam carried Ming-Ming into his car and Jackie follow behind. A guard (airport service??) helps them put the suitcases into his car. “Buckle up Jackie.” Chi Lam said as he help Ming-Ming seat belt. “Uncle…will mommy be all right?” Jackie asks, his face is a little scare too. “Silly, mommy’s just tire, she’ll be ok, don’t worry.” Chi Lam reassures Jackie and he drove to the hospital nearby.
Jackie and Chi Lam sit on the waiting chairs row outside and wait for the doctors to check on Ming-Ming. Chi Lam heard Jackie’s tummy growl, “Are you hungry? Want uncle to buy you some honey bread and milk?” Jackie nodded. Chi Lam quickly got up and ran to the cafeteria, he bought some honey bread and chocolate milk for Jackie.
“Here Jackie, have some…” he said, handing Jackie the foods, “What about you, Uncle?” “I am not hungry.” Chi Lam smiles at Jackie. He wonder who does Jackie look like he seems clever and cute. The doctors step out of the room, “You guys can come in now.” They rush in and found Ming-Ming awake on the bed. “Mommy! You’re all right.” Jackie hugs his mom, “Yeah, I am fine Jackie.” “I am glad that you’re alright Ming-Ming.” Chi Lam sat down on the bed and smiles at Ming-Ming.
She looks away, “Thank you…” she said, bitterly, her eyes were red. She hated him and hurt so much. He lowers his head. “Congratulation you two.” the doctor breaks in, “Huh?” Ming-Ming looks at the doctor. “What?” Chi Lam asks surprise, “We found that Miss, you’re pregnant.” “What? Are you serious?” Ming-Ming smiles in happiness. “Yes, 2 months, but you has travel along way so your health condition is not so bright, we’ll give you some medications for the baby’s good.” The doctor said, Ming-Ming nodded.
“Congratulation, you’re a father…again.” The doctor smiles at Chi Lam as he rub Jackie's hair. “What no…” Ming-Ming try to explain but he left already. “It’s ok Ming-Ming, just a sentence…who really cares.” CHi Lam said,
“I do care ok? It’s not you being a father, it’s Hiu Chung.” She yells in her serious tone, and Jackie looks at them, he’s scare. He never seen his mom this upset before.
“Shh…you’ll scare Jackie.” CHi Lam said looking down at Jackie, his heart ache so much. “I am sorry Jackie, I am really tire, and don’t be scare.” Ming-Ming said looking at her son, Jackie shook his head and smiles. “Mommy, daddy have a meeting, daddy said uncle will take us to our new house.” Jackie smiles excitingly. Chi Lam smiles at Jackie and looks at Ming-Ming, he wants to smooth the tension between him and Ming-Ming, “I wonder who Jackie looks like? He’s so cute and clever for a little boy.” Ming-Ming glares at him, her eyes was a bit watery, “Of course he looks like Hiu Chung and me, he's our son.” Ming-Ming stated.
“Ok, ok, I was just trying to…” “Trying to what?? Make up?? After what you have done??” she looks at him half, with sadness, she still loves him, the other half was anger because he didn’t trust her in the past, causing their relationship to split.
“I am sorry…Ming-Ming…” Chi Lam try to say, “NO need to sorry…you’re always right…you’re always the best, and what I have done is just wrong no matter how much I try to help you, no matter how much I loved you…I am just always wrong.” Ming-Ming said, she broke into tears.
She hugs Jackie tightly in her arms, Jackie didn’t know what happened but he try his best to make the DEADLY silence happier, “Mommy I am really hungry, come on Jackie will help you pack and go to our new house.” Jackie smiles. Ming-Ming really loves her son, no matter what he’s still in the middle to pull everything together.
