Her phone rang, “Hello?” “Hello Ming-Ming? Are you all right?” Hiu Chung asks, his voice warm her whole heart, “Hi, I am ok, don’t worry, where are you honey?” “OH, I got a really important meeting for my new job, I am sorry I left you alone…I’ll be home at like 9 tonight so don’t wait for me, eat dinner ok?” “It’s ok, don’t worry! I am fine, we’re going to our new house, and yeah the doctors…” “I am sorry Ming-Ming, I have to go…I’ll talk to you later ok, bye honey takes care.” He hung up before Ming-Ming get her chance to tell him the good news.
She sighs and shut her phone, “What happen?” Chi Lam asks reaching over to touch her hand. She slaps it, “It’s none of your business, just focus on driving and…don’t ever touch me again.” Ming-Ming said and it hurt Chi Lam. He turns and looks at her, “Look Ming-Ming…” but she has turns away, “Never mind…” Chi Lam said sadly.
“This is your new house…” he show Ming-Ming the big house, “Ok, Jackie, we’re here.” Ming-Ming turns around and saw her son asleep. She smiles and turns back up but that is when Chi Lam turns down, their head touches and their lip met. They look into each other eyes shock. Ming-Ming quickly pushes him away.
“I am sorry.” Chi Lam said. Ming-Ming opens the car door and went to carry Jackie. Chi Lam touches his lip, he blushes, and her kiss was soft and sweet. He could still smell the soft Jasmine scent from her hair brushing on his face. He smiles and get out of the car, he help Ming-Ming carry the suitcases inside. “There’s a room up stairs you can put Jackie in.” he said and leading Ming-Ming up to a kid room.
She gently places her son down on the bed, pull the sheet over him, and kiss his puffy cheek. “You must be tire too right Jackie?” she smiles, when she is with Jackie she completely forgot what is going on around her, she didn’t even notice that Chi Lam was watching her smiling warmly.
Ming-Ming, you’re really still a little angel, you’re always so beautiful and nice. “You want me to show you around?” she was surprise by his words and turn around. She sighs; “Sure…” she said getting up. She closes the door behind her so noisy sound wont wake Jackie up. They walk around the house and stop at the living room, “Here, sit down, I’ll go make some coffee, I bet you’re really tire…and the baby need some food too, I bought some strawberry cake, your favorite type.”
Chi Lam got up and went into the kitchen. Why does he still remember what I like? Ming-Ming felt sick, why does Chi Lam have to be the one who work with Hiu Chung, is there no one else in Hong Kong could be his CO-WORKER? Why such a coincidence? She heard her heart beating fast. A single tear fell down on her cheek. She quickly wipes it away along with all the stupid feeling inside her.
Chi Lam came out, he brought a tray with two pieces of cake and two coffee cups. He places down and pushes to her, “Thanks.” Ming-Ming said. She sips some warm coffee from the cup. He’s still good; the taste of his handmade coffee still didn’t change much since the last 5 years. The bitter taste and the smell wash over her thoughts, it relax her somehow.
“Try some cake, I bought it from the store that we usually go to…” he said trying to choose his words carefully, he doesn’t want to hurt Ming-Ming anymore. She just nodded and tries a little piece of the cake. She felt like throwing up, Ming-Ming got up and quickly ran to the bathroom nearby.
Chi Lam chase after, she threw up into the sink. “Are you ok?” Chi Lam asks holding her shoulder, “Here, tissue!” he handed her some tissues. “Thank you…’ she washes her face than wipe it with the tissues. “What happen? Didn’t you used to like strawberry cake?” he asks, “Yes, I USED to Chi Lam. It’s all the past now, everything change in the past 5 years, I got a child, I got a family, and the strawberry cake doesn’t taste good like it was anymore.” Tears fell down on her face. She wasn’t talking about the cake; she was talking about their relationship.
“Yes, everything changed, but if you put time to accustom it again, you’ll be fine. Give me time Ming-Ming, I know everything I did was wrong but…I really really still love you.” He said holding onto her arms and looks deep into her eyes.
“No…It won’t happen, I am too tire of you…no way you can go back and change things again, it already happened.” She said, she stares into his eyes and begin to cries harder. Things are still here, those cold eyes are still there, but it just too sick, and she couldn’t forgive him after all he did. He forces her into a kiss.
“No, no, stop it Chi Lam.” She struggle in his arms. She try to hit him hard, he was strong. Hiu Chung, Hiu Chung, Jackie, my family, all appear in her head at once, it gave her the strength to push him away. She ran out of the bathroom into the living room. He came after and caught her waist, he push her down onto the sofa.
“Stop it Chi Lam.” She said looking at him with her tearful eyes, “No, I love you Ming-Ming, don’t you understand? Five years, I have been waiting in pain, I was hurt the same way you did…I know you don’t love Hiu Chung, come back with me, I loves you Ming-Ming…” He said, he kisses her forehead and than her lip, ignore how she push and hit.
He unbuttoned her shirt and pulls it past her shoulder, he lowers his head and begins to suck on her neck and shoulder leaving some red marks there. “Please stop Chi Lam…” Ming-Ming cries, “Please…” she pushes him up, and he looks down at her eyes. He said he wouldn’t hurt her more; her eyes look scare and everything. She cries harder and he quickly got off of her.
He rubs his head, and sits there, “I am sorry.” Ming-Ming pulls her shirt together and cries. Chi Lam hugged her, “I am so sorry Ming-Ming. I wont hurt you anymore…please don’t cry.” She sobs and said, “It’s all the past, why cant you just lets go Chi Lam, we can still be friend, but I have a family…I have Hiu Chung, Jackie…”
“I can’t Ming-Ming, every times I close my eyes, I saw you…” he said tighten his arms around her. “Chi Lam…lets go…you’re hurting me.” He kisses her hair. “Chi Lam?” she said struggling in his arms, “Ming-Ming, let me leans on you…just a little bit ok? Just a little.” “Chi Lam…I am sorry, but you have to let’s go of me.” She pushes him, “So it’s ok with him but now with me?” he lets go and asks her. They look at each other, their heart beating fast. Tears were welled up in both of their eyes...
“Ah…mommy…mommy?” Ming-Ming heard Jackie’s crying up stairs. She got up, and run up, she went into the room, and Jackie was sitting there looking around. “Jackie what happened?” “Mommy…” Jackie sobs, Ming-Ming hug him, “Shh…don’t cry…I am here with you.” “I am scare…I saw a monster…” Jackie cry, “Silly, mommy’s here, no monster is allow to get near my little boy.” Ming-Ming smiles, and sings to Jackie.
About 5-10 minutes later he went back to sleep. She gently places him down and kisses his forehead. She doesn’t want to go down stairs, so she laid her head on the bed with her body on the floor and look at Jackie. Ming-Ming is afraid that she couldn’t face Chi Lam when she comes down again. He hurts her a lot, his eyes are so sad when she looks into them, what he was saying, was it true? He was hurt the same way she did? Can I believe him? A lot of questions are filling in her mind. As soon as her mind is full, she closed her eyes and let herself falling into better dream with Jackie.
Chi Lam sit there, he thought about what happened too, it have been more than half an hour since she went up stairs why didn’t she come down? Should I go up and see? Chi Lam looks at the stairs and decides to go up at last. He peeks in the room and saw that Ming-Ming was sleeping with Jackie. Her face look so peaceful, he steps in side and slide down beside her. “Were you scared of me? Is that why you didn’t come down?” he looks at her face and strokes her hair. He pushes some hairs that were stuck on her face away. He kisses her forehead and carries her to the other room. He places her down and kisses her lip. “Sleep tight,” He went out of the room and close the door.
Chi Lam went down and starts to make some soup for dinner. He put carrots and potatoes in the soup to make it good for Ming-Ming’s health. She has to eat healthier since she is carrying a baby. He tastes the food and it good. He turns off the stove and went over the sofa and lay down. He’ll wait until they wake up…

YIKIE....I am hungry...=) I am sorry, but all I thought when writing this is strawberry cake, orgrange cake, CARAMEL FRAP. from starbucks...=) I am such a fat pig...I am sorry just ignore me...I am just all weird.
