Jason: Welcome back Gerald, Kim (give Kim a hug)
Gerald: Thank you Kuya Jason.
Kim: (smiling) thank you Kuya Jason.
Jason: It’s nice to see both of you look so fresh and rested, especially you Gerald. (He noticed the sweetness of two, as Kim hanging on tightly on Gerald’s arm, he just smile with relief knowing that his favorite pet, Gerald finally get the love he deserved from the love of his life) So, I hope you are not back to work yet tomorrow Gerald.
Gerald: (laughing) don’t worry Kuya, not yet…at least not until Wednesday. (then look at Kim and kiss her hand)
Kim: (responded with a sweet smile.)
Jason: Where to Gerald? (Opening the car door to the newly wed)
Gerald: Oh yeah Kuya Jason straight to Shangri-La Hotel, we’ll stay there for tonight, while Ate Pokwang are busy preparing the townhouse for us.
Jason: Okay (smiling watching them in the mirror then meet eyes with Gerald, smile at him and nod.)
They arrived at Shangri-La Hotel, got in into the separate private entrance leading to their suite. Everything was planned for the big surprise that Kim’s know nothing about. When they got to the floor, the bellboy was standing waiting at the door for them, hand Gerald the card key for their suite and bring the luggage inside.
Gerald: Thank you (give the bellboy a generous tip)
Bellboy: Thank you Mr. Anderson, enjoy your stay Sir.
Kim: Babe, how did you do all this in such a short notice?
Gerald: I told you, I’ll do anything, everything just to keep you surprisingly happy.
Kim: (hugging Gerald in the side) Sometime I forgot who I merry, I forgot how rich and influential you are…LOL…
Gerald: Because when it come down to you…I’m nothing but your servant my dear wife. I can’t be anybody but a noble husband that will move heaven and earth for his wife. (Then give Kim a sweet, deeper kiss)
Kim: aahhh…so sweet…poor Attorney Gerald Randolph Anderson Jr. who once the most eligible bachelor, rich & famous, smart and good looking hottie is now married and servant to his wife. (Jokingly teasing Gerald)
Gerald: To the rich & famous, most gorgeous, soon to be number 1 doctor of this country, Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu Anderson.(Holding Kim’s face and give her a smack on the lips)
Kim: babe, you know hat? …we’re not a bad pair at all.
Gerald: (garb and give her a hug) No, not at all…actually, we’re perfect pair!
Kim: (get away from Gerald’s hug) OMG…I love this room; this is bigger than my condo unit. Babe, what time is our dinner...We do dinner right?
Geraldlaughing) yes we do, my dear wife….you start to read my mind.
Kim: well, bringing me in the place like this, at least feeding me first before…you know…assaulting me, would be nice….LOL…
Gerald: (pulling her closer) you still didn’t forget about that one do you... (Laughing) I think now that you’re my wife, I can assault you anytime I want, and I want to do that now, come here..(Kim let go and run to the closet laughing)..Come we have a lot of time, our dinner is at eight.
Kim: (start opening the closet)..OMG…Babe, is this part of the surprise?
Gerald: do you like it?
Kim: Yes! I love it! I’ll wear this to dinner...you know what. I just realized that the entire surprise gift that you’re giving me, everything…has to do with your own personal interest. Attorney Anderson, you always has ulterior motive…BUT, I love it.
Gerald: (smiling as he watches his wife trying on the cocktail gown in front of the mirror) Babe, it doesn’t matter what you wear, you always look beautiful.
Kim is trying on the Red soft satin cocktail dress, a V neck spaghetti strap with a deep low back cut and uneven length that expose her gorgeous legs. The dress is hugging on to her body define every curve and flowing so perfectly when she walk and moving up exposing more of her left legs every time she a step. As she walks around, Gerald noticed something.
Gerald: (looking at her legs) babe, turn again…wait, what is that?
Kim: what is what?
Gerald: here, come.(left her dress to expose her left thigh)..is this a bruise?
Kim: yes you’re right. It is a bruise. But I don’t know where I got it. (she try to poke the area) ouch I don’t even know how I get it.
Gerald: Did you hit your self into something, our maybe bump into something?
Kim: NO!
Gerald: Come seat down, let me see ( as he is looking at the bruise, he notice the 3 different small bruises beside each other, then he realized, it must be because of him, his fingers, when he grab her thigh this morning) Babe, I’m so sorry (then start kissing the bruises)
Kim: Why, what did you do?
Gerald: I think I know where you got the bruises from…from me this morning.
Kim: (laughing) yeah, you are right, this morning. You’re so wild that I thought you’re going to break my bones.( jokingly hitting Gerald)
Gerald: so sorry, it’s your fault because you’re so irresistible. (Feel so bad)
Kim: (smile) It’s OK Babe, (give Gerald a hug) it will be gone in no time.
They got interrupted when Gerald’s phone ring. He walks away a little from Kim and answers his phone. He is receiving instruction from Ate Anne and the rest of Kim’s family. After a while he turns back and notices that Kim was watching him, the he recover from the suspicious act by offering Kim the phone.
Gerald: Ma, she’s her beside me, she’s awake. ..Babe, its Mama, she just want to know if we’re back. (Hand Kim the phone)
Kim: Hi Ma, yes, we’re back and can we see you sometime within the week? We don’t know our schedule yet. We are not at the townhouse yet, we’ll be there by tomorrow before noon. Bye Ma, send my love to Papa.
Gerald: Babe, I think I need a nap, how about you?
Kim; me too, just make sure you have the alarm after 30 minutes so I have time to get ready for the dinner.
Gerald: OK.
Both of them needed a nap they that they don’t have any problem at going to snooze for few minutes. After a while they both wake-up and get ready for the Dinner. Kim looks so rested and beautiful. Gerald, change to a black semi – formal pants, with a while a while Chinese collar long sleeves and a black sport Jacket with white belt and white shoes. They both look so dazzling. As they went down, Hotel guest can’t resist giving them a second look, some noticed them and know them by name, business acquaintances of Gerald, stopping them and congratulating Him from the big news and completing how beautiful his wife is.
Kim; Babe, I feel like a celebrity, I didn’t realize that you know so much people. I guess I never been with you in the place like this, I didn’t know the feeling and what to expect.
Gerald; You better get used to it because from now on, I’ll make sure that people will know you as Mrs. Anderson. We never go out in public, not until we announced our wedding, so a lot of people was surprise and curious who you are.
Kim: I know, will we never were in Public before.
As they are approaching the entrance of the Hotel Restaurant, a host approaches them.
Host: Mr. & Mrs. Anderson, good evening Sir, Ma'am
Gerald: Good Evening.
Host: come this way Sir, Ma’am. We have prepared a private place for you as a complement of this hotel.
Kim: No need Miss; we are okay in the restaurant.
Host: Please Mrs. Anderson, come this way, or I’ll loose my job.
Kim: (smiling) Okay, We don’t you to loose you job. Please extend our thank you to the management.
The host continues to led them to the private room, it was kind of dark, only lit with candles, you can hardly see watch inside.
Host: Please watch your steps.
Kim: (grab Gerald’s arm and hold him so tight) Babe…(kind of worried)
Gerald: don’t worry Babe, everything is just fine.
As they stand at the middle of the super bowl,Kim turn around and notice that the Lady is gone.
Kim: Babe, I don’t like the feel of this.
Gerald: (didn’t say anything but he knows that Kim starts to worry) Babe, just trust me ok?
They we’re standing at the middle then the floor starts to turn and left them high with the light start to shine every steps they move up, as they rich the final steps of revolving platform, amazing light shine with “CONRATULATIONS! DOCTOR KIMBERLY SUE YAP CHIU – ANDERSON” then the big bang of applause! Kim’s was so surprise; she was hanging on to Gerald’s arm and tears starts to go down her eyes.
Kim: Babe…I hate you!!(Crying and hitting Gerald)
Gerald: (pick her up and start swinging her around then gently put her down and start kissing her in the lips, another applause and whistling from the guest) I love you and so proud of you. You made it to the top Babe! My baby is number 1!
Kim; Thank you! (Then she starts looking around and start looking for her family)
They step down and start going around, both side of the family are present, celebrating Kim’s success. The night was full of fun, happy moments and love. Everyone was so happy and proud of her. She sees all her friends, relatives and colleague, People that has been part of her journey as medical students. Speeches were given. People share their story about their experiences with Kim, how she becomes such a good friend, students, and colleague. They toast her very well, they show slide of her picture where she sleep standing in the corner of hospital room holding her books, setting crying and vomiting during and after exams, her happy moments with her hospital friends, picture of her drunk and dancing, and they even show the never been seen photo of her and Gerald. In how Gerald well come waited for her hours in the lobby, and bringing her foods carrying all her books and even coming so late panicking one day with Gerald’s shir on. Everybody was laughing and enjoying all the pictures revealing their life together, that they tough it was so private and no one knows, But because of her friend Melissa & Bam, now everyone, including their family knows what they been doing all those time.
Kim: Thank you everyone, thank you for the surprise and thank you for embarrassing me in front of family. (She thank everyone, her family her husband family and Gerald. She thank Gerald for being so patient with her all those years, the years that He’s been always there for her)
Party went so well, everyone having a blast, most of her friend tries to corner her and get information about their honeymoon. They laugh and tease her in how blooming she looks and how happy and in-love they both look. All night Gerald never leave Kim’s side, He never fail to show everyone how deeply in-love he is with his wife. People asking if they should start counting for the months to see Kim in maternity dress, they said the way they look tonight, there is no doubt that they will be seen soon with the little one’s running around with this couple.
