He was about to roll over to the side and get up, but the cast got in his way. It was sort of heavy, and his arm felt like a rock- which is never a good thing.
He took a deep breath, counting from one to three and pushed himself up while grunting. However, he wasn’t looking properly and knocked his broken arm on one of the wooden legs of the bed.
“AHHHHHH-“ Donghae quickly covered his mouth and stomped the carpet lightly in pain.
He squinted his eyes and balled up the free hand until the pain slowly disappeared. Right after, Donghae kicked the bed, “Stupid…”
Donghae sneakily peeped his head out of his hotel room and walked out when “the coast was clear.” They were all staying at the first floor so Donghae could easily get something and not have to walk down the stairs or ride the mushy elevator.
His throat was a bit dry, Donghae decided to go to the dining center and grab a drink of water.
“Donghae?”
Donghae stopped in his tracks. He closed his eyes, still in the frozen position and sent out a small curse. He was surely going to get a lecture on how he should rest and sleep, stay in good health, and the other blah-blah that he didn’t listen the other times.
“Shouldn’t you be asleep?” Hankyung asked, scratching his head which had messy hair.
‘I knew it,’ Donghae thought and turned around to face the long, painfully boring talk.
“…You DO realize that there’s water in you room? They have mini fridges there.” Hankyung went back to where he was before and closed the door quietly, thinking about other neighboring hotel rooms.
Donghae widen his eyes. He swore he didn’t see that when he first woke up. But, well, he did just wake up and only aimed for the door.
‘I wonder how he knows,’ he tilted his head, ‘I thought only Eunhyuk could-‘
He stopped moving towards the door that claimed its name was, ‘032.’
‘…Eunhyuk…’
The rest of the day was slow, incredibly slow. At least, for Donghae that is.
After Donghae woke up for the second time that day, everyone packed up their belongings as Super Junior M’s manager drove Donghae for one last check-up in China.
Zoumi and Henry were tagging along on the trip back to Korea, having their promotions ending for the next two months.
Ryeowook lifted up his luggage, struggling a bit from the weight. Henry glanced at him and decided to help, getting off the comfortable lane seat.
Hankyung, Siwon and Zoumi sat together and started talking about whatever it is.
Donghae sat on the window seat, next to Kyuhyun. Except, he had no company because Kyuhyun was busy texting Sungmin at the last minute.
Donghae listened as the speaker from above told them to fastened their seatbelts for taking off.
Kyuhyun was a bit disappointed that Hankyung took his phone away and turn it off.
Donghae smiled and looked out the window, seeing the wheels run and take off. The people who were waving got smaller and smaller until they were all just tiny ants- barely noticeable. They were in the sky, next to the clouds pretty soon. At times, Donghae thought the pilot was purposely taking the flight slow as the trip took three days to arrive.
But Siwon always reminded him that this was the fastest one out there and he should be thankful to God about it. The guy even prays on an airplane…
Donghae’s heart beat faster when he started to see land, although his ears hurt from the gravity pulling down.
