Chapter 15

The Pet Store

Bzzz. Eunhyuk's phone was vibrating on the table next to his bed. "What now?" Eunhyuk groaned as he pulled the covers over his head to prevent the sunlight coming in from the window to reach his face. The buzzing of his phone and the sunlight totally ruined his sleeping time of course. Eunhyuk had no choice but to wake up. He checked his phone, squinting to read the text message he received, still not used to the amount of brightness.

'Hyukkie! To the pet store! I'll meet you there! I love you!'

Eunhyuk couldn't help, but smile. He walked to the restroom and bumped into the wall on the way, still drowsy. He reached out for the faucet and turned it on to feel the cool water of the sink. Eunhyuk gently splashed some on his face to wake himself up. That certainly did the trick. After brushing his teeth until they were as white as white could be, and doing his "business" in the restroom, Eunhyuk walked out, got dressed, and stumbled out the door.

The pet store wasnt that far away. Donghae was standing outside the door, looking at his phone and smiling for some reason (probably because his wallpaper was a picture of Eunhyuk and him doing bunny ears on each other). Eunhyuk ran up to Donghae and pinched his cheeks.

"OUCH! Eunhyuk! Don't do that!" Donghae managed to say with his cheeks being pulled.

"Let's go look at the puppies first! And then the rabbits and hamsters!" Eunhyuk suggested in a kiddish voice.

He tugged on Donghae's arm and pulled him in the door.

"Look at that chihuahua, Eunhyuk! Isn't it cute?" Donghae asked making cute faces at the small, white, barking puppy.

"Meh. I've seen cuter," Eunhyuk replied looking away.

"...Oh, okay," Donghae said, confused that Eunhyuk didn't agree.

"I was talking about you!" Eunhyuk exclaimed.

Donghae smiled and his cheeks turned pink. Eunhyuk smiled back.

"Oooh! Look! A golden retriever! ACK! Look! A siberian husky! Oh! And there's a cockapoo! And here's a labrador!" Eunhyuk shouted, running around the shop pointing from dog to dog.. from puppy to puppy.

Donghae didn't mind. He actually enjoyed watching Eunhyuk being the playful monkey he was.

"Donghae! Look at the cute bunnies! That one's eating!" Eunhyuk called out, with one of his hands on the cage, and the other one beckoning Donghae over.

"There's also 3 hamsters over here," Donghae replied, pointing his finger to another cage.

"Oh my goshhhh! They're cuter than from far away!" Eunhyuk yelled.

"They also have tiny keychains for our cell phones!" Donghae added, pointing to a wall of keychains dangling from the tiny stick they were hanging on.

"I want that one!" Eunhyuk shouted, pointing to a keychain of a tiny monkey holding a fish in a bowl. "Two! One for me and one for you! It looks exactly like us in animal form!"

'Wow. That's unexpected,' Donghae thought.

"We'll buy whatever you like, Hyukkie."

"Yay!"

On the way home, Eunhyuk and Donghae both had a dangling keychain, hanging from their cell phones.

"Thanks for the keychain, Hae!"

"You're welcome, Hyukkie."

"I love you!"

"I love you, too."
