Leeteuk continued to hug Eunhyuk while sitting on the side of the bed, he patted Eunhyuk’s back, but he did not say a word. Leeteuk wondered why Eunhyuk was like this. Not once had he’d seen his dancing machine so empty, so lost, and so shocked that he’d cry for- what was it, an hour? The leader took a little glance at his band member. Eunhyuk’s eyes were red and bloodshot, it seemed puffy and his face was stained with the dry tears. Oddly, one last drop fell down, and that was it. The eyes had no life in them anymore. They blinked, they rolled around, but it was missing something.
Eunhyuk shifted himself to sink into Leeteuk’s chest a little bit more. Normally, he would’ve felt awkward unless it was Donghae but right now, maybe just a little warmth would do the trick. Eunhyuk swallowed down the spit and once again, the horrifying sentence came back in his mind.
“Because…I hate you.”
“I never loved you in the first place; I was just toying with you.”
His stomach twisted and turned, and his heart felt like it had sore lumps all over. It hurt. It hurt bad. Eunhyuk did not say anything though. From the corner of his eye, he saw that it was nine o’clock now. He took a deep breath, and let it go after a few seconds.
“Leeteuk?” Eunhyuk softly whispered. Leeteuk stopped his train of thoughts and answered with a curious look.
“It hurts,” Eunhyuk plainly said. He clutched his shirt, where the heart was. Every minute that passed, breathing seemed to burn his lungs. He closed his eyes, pressing his lips together; he tried to remember the good times. Most of them were with Donghae, however. Eunhyuk mentally shook his head and erased those.
Leeteuk’s thigh that was a makeshift pillow for Eunhyuk’s body was getting numb, he ignored it even though it really started to get annoying. Sighing, Leeteuk got Eunhyuk up.
“Let’s wash up, okay?” Leeteuk smiled, showing his famous dimple on his left cheek. Eunhyuk nodded, forcing his lips to form a small smile just for Leeteuk. He really was a great leader, taking care and worrying over each and every single one of his “children.”
Down they walked, through the hallway and towards the restroom. It seems like about half of Super Junior were awake, Kibum hiding his nose under his book, Sungmin sorting out his pink accessories and walking out to watch TV. While passing Sungmin, Eunhyuk hid his face by turning the opposite direction. Hankyung was in the kitchen, cooking rice while getting out ingredients for his Beijing Fried Rice. Heechul was in his room that had a separate restroom- that way; no one would have to wait hours for him to finish washing up and deciding on which clothes to wear. Donghae’s room was locked up, doing unknown things.
“Go in, take all the time you need, okay?” Leeteuk said, lightly pushing Eunhyuk in the door. Eunhyuk replied an inaudible, “Yes,” and locked the door.
“It’s time for lunch, guys!” Hankyung shouted in some broken Korean. But everyone was used to it and understood, grabbing a chair from the dining table. Hankyung placed thirteen plates down right in front of them, but two people were missing.
“Where’s Donghae and Eunhyuk?” Hankyung asked, looking around by leaning on the table, as if by doing so, it would give better vision.
Kibum shrugged and dug his silver spoon into the delicious food.
As if on cue, Eunhyuk appeared, all fresh and clean but still had the depressing aura around him. Hankyung tilted his head, thinking but shrugged it off. As Eunhyuk sat down, the rest were expecting him to ramble on about weird news that he’d always find on the internet or talk dreamingly about Donghae this, Donghae that. But he didn’t. Eunhyuk didn’t peep a word even when eating. And the odder thing was, he ate slowly and quietly. Leeteuk put the spoon of fried rice in his mouth and gave his attention to Eunhyuk.
He didn’t know what the problem was, but it definitely had to do with Donghae.
“Eunhyuk?” Kyuhyun asked, seeing the huge difference between yesterday and today. Eunhyuk didn’t answer and placed a grain of rice in his mouth.
“Oh, where’s Donghae-“
“I’m full,” Eunhyuk interrupted Hankyung’s question and left without pushing in his chair. Not that he did push in his chair ever since back then.
Shocked, Super Junior’s eyes went wide and their jaws hung open. What’s wrong with Eunhyuk?
