Eunhyuk eyes popped open. He pushed the covers up thinking one thing. 'Donghae'.
He stood up, wobbled once since he wasn't completely awake, and stumbled his way to the bathroom. After brushing his teeth, washing his face, taking a shower, and all that needed to be done in the morning, Eunhyuk scrambled out of the restroom with his clothes on, and ran down the hallway.
"Have you guys seen Donghae?!" Eunhyuk asked, not bothering to catch his breath, but focusing on his "real" lover.
Donghae looked up to see who was calling him, even though it was obvious. He noticed Eunhyuk and looked back at the folder he was peering through. Eunhyuk watched Donghae as he flipped through the pages inside, smiling every once in a while. He had to know what was inside the folder, so Eunhyuk pretended to walk by to get a better view of the TV. When Donghae wasn't looking, Eunhyuk took a peek.
It was the photo album that they called "EunHae Moments". 'How could I forget?' Eunhyuk thought to himself feeling ashamed. He took another glance at the album once he noticed Donghae was smiling again. It was a set of 5 pictures that looked like they went in a sequence. The first one had Eunhyuk taking a sip of strawberry milk. The second had him setting it on the table. The third had Donghae reaching for the cup. The fourth had Donghae taking a sip from the same straw. The fifth had them fighting for the cup. Eunhyuk just had to smile himself after.
"Eunhyukkie!" called a familiar voice. Eunhyuk could hear high heels clopping down the hallway. Ji Young.
Donghae shut the folder in anger. Eunhyuk peered at Donghae. Donghae didn't seem to notice again however. He just reached for the other album they had. It seemed to be named "EunHae Forever". Donghae smiled at the title on the cover. Eunhyuk felt that Donghae was probably hurt really bad. It made him feel bad himself. Eunhyuk's heart felt as if it skipped a beat and that missing a beat was causing it to ache, but he kept his smile up as Ji Young caught sight of him.
"Eunhyukkie! Are we going to the beach?"
"Sorry, Ji Young. I can't go. We have an interview."
"We can go after!"
"I have other plans."
"Aww.. well, okay then! I'll go call Jung Hee! You remember Jung Hee, right?"
"You mean the Jung Hee who knew almost everything?"
"Yeah, that Jung Hee!"
"Yeah, I remember."
"Yay!"
Ji Young clopped back down the hallway and Eunhyuk watched Donghae again. Donghae seemed to be looking at a picture that showed Eunhyuk and Donghae smiling at the camera which Donghae seemed to be holding since his arm was reaching out, but his hand couldn't be seen. Donghae flipped the page to see a piece of lined paper in the transparent sheet. It had words. Words that were written by Eunhyuk and Donghae. The first part read,
"I promise to stay beside my Hyukkie from time to time and I'll stick up for him when he needs me. I love my monkey and nothing can replace him.
- Eunhyuk's Fishy"
The second part read,
"I promise to stay beside my Hae forever. I'll give him a shoulder to lean on when he needs one and I'll protect him when he's hurt. I love my fishy and nothing can take his place.
-Donghae's Monkey"
A tear seemed to drop onto the transparent sheet and Eunhyuk looked away pretending not to notice. But he, himself, felt stabbed in the heart as so did Donghae. Donghae wiped the tear off the page and rubbed his sleeve across his eye. He shut the album as Leeteuk told them to go.
On the way to the car, which Kangin was sitting inside, steering the wheel while pretending to be a race car driver, Eunhyuk thought, 'He lost the rock paper scissors AGAIN?' Eunhyuk was about to enter the car until something shiny in the grass caught his attention. He took a few steps closer and bent down for a better look. It was the keychain that Donghae had thrown out yesterday night. 'I have a feeling this is going to help with my apology,' Eunhyuk thought as he reached for the keychain and placed it in his pocket. A lightbulb then turned on in Eunhyuk's head. 'I'm going to buy him something.. using the money I've been saving up for video games.. Donghae is way more important than flashing effects and sword clashing.'

At the interview...

"So, Leeteuk, how is EunHae going?" the interview asked.
"They're doing fine and being strong.. in their own ways," Leeteuk replied. "But you should be asking them, not me."
"I see.. well alright then," the interview answered, rubbing her chin. "Donghae, how is EunHae going at the moment?"
"..."
"Donghae?" the interview asked again waving her hand in the air trying to catch Donghae's attention.
"Oh, sorry. EunHae is.. going alright.. I guess."
"I heard there's a new couple called EunJi! They've been on TV and the internet," the interviewer said.
"And magazines..." Donghae mumbled.
"Donghae, how do you feel about this?"
"I'm.. fine.. about it."
"Oh, really?"
Eunhyuk knew what Donghae was speaking was a series of lies.
"How about you, Eunhyuk? How do you feel about Eunji?"
"I feel that Eunji is a couple that wasn't meant to be," Eunhyuk said while looking at Donghae. He was finally able to make eye contact with Fishy, who seemed to look back at him.
"So you're saying-" the interview said, but was interrupted.
"That Eunji doesn't exist," Eunhyuk finished up. "And that only Donghae is in my mind every minute.. not Ji Young."
Donghae continued to stare at Eunhyuk.
"And that.. and that EunHae will live on.." Eunhyuk said as the fans began to clap in happiness.
'He's lying..' Donghae thought. 'If I'm in his mind every minute, why would he hurt me? If EunHae is real, how come he's been hanging out with Ji Young? If Eunji isn't real, then how come these magazines are disagreeing? I don't believe a thing.'

On the way back home in the car...

"D-Donghae..." Eunhyuk murmured.
Donghae looked at Eunhyuk.
"Are.. are you still mad?"
"Yes.."
"I'm sorry.."
Donghae stared out the window, pretending he didn't hear Eunhyuk's last words, even though they were still fresh in his mind right now.
'After you get him a gift, he'll forgive you..' Eunhyuk thought to himself, cheering himself up.
The car parked and Eunhyuk ran in the house and searched for his piggy bank which was packed with 20 dollar bills and 10 dollar bills instead of quarters and pennies.
Donghae went to open the album and relive EunHae all over.
