Chapter 5

The Truth

Slowly detaching from his memory, he said “I really want to see her again and now that I know the truth, I want her back into our lives.”

“You know the truth?” puzzled Junsu. “What truth?” he probed further.

“The baby, it’s not hers but her friend Soo Young-shi,” saying and shaking his head simultaneously.

Junsu and Taecyeon were so shocked when they heard it.

“My parents have made a big time mistake,” he smirked. “They rather believe outsiders than their own flesh blood and because of that we have to suffer by ourselves.”

“But how do you know about the truth?” asked Taecyeon.

Answering Taecyeon questions clearly, “Remember, I told you guys earlier on that my noona has two bestfriends, Solbi-shi and Soo Young-shi.

Taecyeon and Junsu nodded to show that they remembered what Heechul had told them.

“I have been trying to find noona through them but it seemed that they disappeared altogether with noona for the past 10 years, “ Heechul continued. But I guess luck pitied me. I happened to bump into Solbi-shi when she was having a work seminar in Singapore recently. I recognized her because noona will write about them in the letter, attaching their photos too. I confronted her as I wanted to know if she knows about noona whereabouts. Solbi noona was so reluctant in telling me about Shinae noona.

“The baby, it’s not hers but Soo Young-shi. Your parents have misjudged Shinae,” Solbi looked at her wrist watch while replying to Heechul. Clamping her lips and she assured him, “Don’t worry, she’s doing well on her own in Korea.” Then she left in hurry.

“I felt my head was spinning when Solbi noona said that to me,” rubbing his forehead with his left thumb and index finger. “I believe the only way to get to Shinae noona is through her friends. But I don’t have any of their addresses except for the university they went too and before going to you guys, I have gone to their university but the staffs are not allowed to disclose the students’ profile. I was so lost till I saw your programme during my stay over here.”

“Let me inform you beforehand,” Junsu spoke seriously. “We have seen applicants who are happy when they reconciled with their loved ones and also sad ones when they don’t. When they are happy, we felt their happiness and for those who didn’t, we felt the hurt and disappointment. My point is, no matter what is going to be the outcomes don’t lose hope. Taecyeon, the staffs and I will help you as much as we can.” Junsu clasped his fingers tightly. In his heart, he was praying so that Heechul could meet up with his sister, to make another soul happy once again.

“So let’s make our way to the university,” ushered Taecyeon. “I believe we can ask permission from the Dean to help us with regards to this matter.” He was so eager to begin the mission.
