Rubbing her face with hands.
Let out a heavy sigh.
“How am I supposed to tell her? She will be mad at me. Will she? Oh no!” scratched her scalp and talked softly to herself.
“Solbi! Just what are you doing? I have been noticing you for quite a while now,” claimed a lady voice. You’re behaving like a monkey. Oh no, I don’t think monkey behaves like what you did.” Then she laughs.
“Ha ha ha…very funny,” Solbi said sarcastically.
Biting corner of her lips, “Shinae ah… There’s something I want to…”
“Umma! Umma! Where are you?” shouted a beautiful girl who just came back from school.
“Soo Jung, I’m here- living room,” said Shinae. Upon seeing that girl, “Sweetheart, how many times must I tell you not to shout?” Raising her right index finger, “You are a girl dear.”
“Pot calling the kettle back,” whispered Solbi.
“Excuse me, what did you just said?” Shinae raised one of her eyebrow. She heard fully the sentence made by Solbi.
“I said POT CALLING THE KETTLE BACK!” Solbi shouted and quickly ran away before Shinae could throw a cushion at her.
“Ya!!! Solbi!!! You better watch out,” pissed Shinae.
Soo Jung who was looking at her umma and aunt let out a giggle.
Looking at her daughter, Shinae could not help but to laugh too.
Close your eyes,
Go to sleep,
For my angel,
Who needs her beauty sleep.
Patting Soo Jung to sleep at night will be Shinae daily routine. Shinae will also recite the poems she created just for her little one till the latter fell asleep.
“She’s asleep?” asked Solbi softly who was leaning at the door.
“Hmmm,” replied Shinae. Her hand was still patting on Soo Jung’s body.
Moving into the room, “She’s so beautiful. It makes one feels peacefully just by looking at her,” said Solbi with smiles and sat at the edge of the bed behind Shinae.
“By the way, what did you want to say to me earlier on?” Shinae turned her body to face Solbi.
“Say what?” Solbi flustered. “Great! I thought she didn’t hear me earlier on,” Solbi inner thoughts spoke.
“Hello Miss!!! So what is it?” anxious Shinae hissed and stopped patting Soo Jung to distract Solbi from her thoughts.
Just then, Soo Jung moved her body. She must have been disturbed by the voices.
“Shhhh,” Shinae reaction was fast. She returned her body and patted Soo Jung.
With closed eyes and head faced downwards, “I saw Heechul,” Solbi confessed in one breath.
Shinae, who was soothing Soo Jung immediately stopped and turned her body again to face Solbi.
“Who?” exclaimed Shinae.
Lifting her head, “Shinae ah, I know I shouldn’t…”
“Let’s talk outside. We are going to disturb her if we continue here,” Shinae interrupted and got up from the bed and moved outside. Solbi followed from behind.
Before Solbi could continue to explain, Shinae asked “How is he?”
Solbi was shocked and at the same time, glad that Shinae didn’t flare up. In the past, whenever Solbi mentioned about Shinae’s family, the latter will be so angry.
“He’s fine. So good looking and he resembles you so much,” Solbi said with smiles.
“He’s definitely a good looking guy. He must have grown so much,” said Shinae who seemed to be pleased with the piece of news Solbi has given to her.
