Chapter 9

Flashbacks

It took me a while to fall asleep that night.I could only think about him.If he did find us or not.If he did,how close was he.I felt like my spine was trying to rip out of my skin.Everything was in pain.My bones were breaking and my skin was tearing.The pain grew stronger,and I screamed.It slowly faded away,and I took some deep breaths.I only wanted it to stop.I wish I could have gone back in time to stop Jason from attacking me.If only I wasn't so careless,and more careful.If only I listened to Sam.I zoned out and saw my life flashing before my eyes.

-FLASHBACK-

Sam:Get the fuck out of my room!

Myself:Give me back my radio!

Sam:Fuck you,I'm using it!

Myself:Stop being an asshole,Sam!

Sam:Then stop bitching,and I might.

Lance:Hey,break it up here.

Myself:Sam,is being a jerk.

Sam:Lance,my man,Jess started it.

*Lance enters*

Lance:Stop acting like children,already.Everyday,I come home to see you two fighting.Knock it off.

Sam/Myself:Fine!

*I left Sam's room and slammed my bedroom door shut,and so did he.Lance sighed and walked away*

-END OF FLASHBACK-

I felt myself lost,in my mind.Walking around in the darkness,with nothing but the sound of my inner demons trying to get free.A bright white light blinded me and my life flashed before me again.

-FLASHBACK-

*Sam and I were fighting again.*

Sam:Give me the fucking remote!

Myself:why should I?

Sam:The Monster Horror Marathon is on!

Myself:So?It will be on next week.

Sam:They are showing a rare flick!It won't be back for another fifteen years!

Myself:You have a tv in your room,and I don't.

Sam:It's on 125!My tv doens't have that!!

Myself:Why do you insit on getting everything you want,Sam?

*Sam and I started fighting over the remote*

Dad:Sam,Jessica STOP IT!I'm too tired to deal with you right now.

Sam:Jessica started it!

Myself:Stop shifting the blame,Sam!You started it!

Sam:You started it!

Myself:Did not!

Sam:Did too!

Myself:DID NOT!

Sam:DID TOO!

Dad:WILL YOU TWO SHUT UP!?

*phone rings*

Dad:Hello? *calming down*Yes,I'm Robert.Yes,why?Oh my god.Is he okay?

*Dad got silent after that.He hung up the phone and turned to us*

Dad:*almost crying*Kids,that was the police.Lance was in a car accident.

Myself:What!?

Sam:Is he okay?

*Dad started to cry*

Dad:He...he died on impact.

*I ran up to my room and cried.I lost Lance,someone who looked out for me.I stared at his picture on my dresser and cried harder.Three days later,I went to his funeral.I was asked to speak about him.It was hard.I never got to say goodbye to him.*

-END OF FLASHBACK-

I found myself crying.I hated how I had to re-live that again.Another light hit me and I was tossed back into my past.

-FLASHBACK-

I got home from school to see Sam on the couch crying.

Myself:What happened?

Sam *sniffling*:Peramedics just came here.Dad died.

Sam held his arms wide open and I ran into them and held him tight.We lost our brother a motnh ago,and now our father.Mom was nowhere to be found.Sam told me how Mom was having an affaire with Dad,and is somewhere on the otherside of Canada.

Myself:Sam,I'm sorry for everything I've done.

Sam:I'm sorry too.

Myself:Sam...

Sam:Yes?

Myself:Promise me,you'll never leave me.

Sam:I'll never leave you,and I'll always protect you.It's a promise.

-END OF FLASHBACK-

I felt a presance in the room.A voice rang in my head.

"Wake up..."

I opened my eyes to see it was Sam.

"Sam...?"I said

"I told I'd never leave you."he said

"I seen-"I started

"I saw it too,just after Ginger mauled me."Sam said

"Why me?"I asked

"Hmmm?"he said

"Why me?"I asked"Why did this have to happen to me?Why have me and Bridget have to be cursed with this?"

"I wish I knew."Sam said"I'm sorry about what I said the other day.It's true though.You'll have to do one or another.It will only die if you do."

"I'm not ready to die yet Sam,I said"I don't want to!"

"I know you arn't."Sam sighed"I don't want to see you die either.But it's the only way it will end.I just want you to be happy and out of your misery."

There was a knock at the door,and Ghost entered.

"Hey Jess."she said,slightly angry

"Hey Ghost."I said

"Why did you do it?"she asked

"Do what?"I asked

"Why did you kill my dog,Rocky!?"she cried

"I was stucke in here all night."I said"So how could I?"

"You can walk through walls maybe."Ghost thought

"Ghost,if I could do that,why would I still be here?"I asked"And how long did you know?"

"Since I seen the changes,and met Brigitte."Ghost said"She told me all of it."

-FLASHBACK-

Ghost sat in Barbra's room,reading her the reepy comics she created.She went on about a strang new girl,who no one knew,and didn't want to know them.She had a secert.She craved the blood and flesh of men.She resisted all temptation,and fought her lust.She was a werewolf.It was visable she wan't normal.Her eyes changed colors dramatically.Her fignernails were sharp.Her teeth were sparkling white,and were razor sharp.Her ears were wolf like and howled at the full moon.She meets a young girl who faces problems with people.She needed a friend.Someoen to protect her.Her protector would kill and serve her.That protector,was later found to be me.The young girl in distress as Ghost.

Ghost sat and thought long about who I was.She knew too much.She knew who and what I was,or what I was becoming.But,she thought of me as a superhero,being tough and brave.My only weakness,in Ghosts' mind would have been silver.I heard the sotries before.Silver has been known to be the only thing that would kill a werewolf.B proved that wrong,when she killed Ginger with a plain knife.

"So thats why you gave me the monkshood?"I asked

"That,and I was testing you,and you failed."Ghost said"Look,Alice said I could let you leave the room for a bit.Want to tag along with me?I'm on laundry duty."

"Anything to get me away from my room."I said
