Eunji’s POV

“Ahh! I’m finally back in Canada!” I said as I carried my luggage, waiting for my neighbor that I’ve known since I was born to pick me up from the air port.

I took a big sniff of the fresh Canadian air. The air in Canada was defiantly fresher then in Asia.

“Eunji!” I heard someone yell out my name from behind.

“Uncle Harvey!” I yelled back with a smile. I was glad to see my neighbour.

“Look at you. You’ve only been gone for a year, yet you grow so much! You got chubbier!” He teased me with a pat on the head.

“Uncle Harvey!” I pouted at him.

“Just kidding kiddo. Come on, let’s go have dinner. Your Aunt Sharron has been waiting all day to see you.” He said as he carried my luggage. My neighbor were Caucasian people, they were the nicest people I ever met in my life.

I followed my uncle to his eight seat van. It was still the same van that they used a year ago.

“Looks like Canada haven’t changed much this past year.” I said as I looked out the passenger window.

“It’s only been a year.” He laughed at my comment.

We drove for half an hour or so until we got to a fancy looking restaurant.

“Eunji! Honey! You’re all grown up!” My Aunt Sharron said as she gave me a big bear hug.

“Aunt Sharron! I missed you too!” I said as I hugged her back.

“Eunji!” Their two little kids hugged me. They were both still young. The older daughter’s name is Stephanie and the younger daughter’s name is Nicole.

“Hey little buggers.” I said to the 12 and 10 year olds.

“We missed you! You’re never around to play with us anymore!” Stephanie pouted at me.

“Well, I’m back for two months, so we can play whenever you want.” I said as I patted her head.

“Alright kids, let’s get some dinner. I’m sure Eunji is starving.” Uncle Harvey winked at me.

“Am I ever! The airplane’s food sucks.” I said with a smile as I ordered my desired dish.

We chatted through the entire dinner. I found out that I didn’t miss out too much when I was in Korea. We laughed and talked. I was happy. I was happy to be back in Canada again.

“Well, you better get some rests Eunji. You must be tired from the flight here.” Uncle Harvey said as he placed my luggage into my house.

“Are you sure you don’t want to come live with us for awhile?” Aunt Sharron asked.

“Aunt Sharron, it’s really fine. I’ll be fine just staying here.” I said with a smile.

“Alright then. If you need anything, you know where to ring the doorbell.” She said as she gave me a good night hug.

I smiled at her.

“Good night guys!” I waved at them as they walked back to their house.

They waved back as they entered their house.

I closed and locked the door. I took a look around the living room of our one floor home. Even though it was only one floor, my father made it look brand new and unbelievable big spaced.

I quickly put my stuff into my room and walked back out to the living room. Nothing has changed at all. Though it was a bit dusty, everything else was in the same place it was a year ago.

I turned on the TV, but everything on was too boring.

I took a look at the clock. Right now should be the morning time for them. I decided to call my parents.

“Mom?” I said once the person on the other line answered the phone.

“Eunji!” She screamed into the phone.

I had to pull the phone away from my ear so I wouldn’t go deaf by her loudness.

“How was the flight?” She asked.

“It was the same old. Nothing different.” I told her as I crossed my legs on the couch where I was sitting.

We chatted for over an hour before I said I was getting tired and needed to sleep. She told me to get some rest and I should call her at least once a week.

As I lay in my bed, I thought about my family and friends that were in Korea.

It hasn’t even been one entire day yet and I’ve already started to miss Miyoko, Minhee, Jaejin, Hongki, Minwhan, Jonghoon, and… Wonbin.

I took a look at my ring that I was wearing.

“Wonbin.” I said as I smiled at the ring.

I shut the lights and drifted off to sleep. I need lots of energy for tomorrow. I’m going to be meeting up with my friends.

-----NEXT MORNING-----

I got up bright and early, I was having jet lag, and I wasn’t able to sleep last night.

I called my friends who were around. They were all happy to hear from me. We decided to just go out together and sit down and chat about the past year. I was dying to hear about all their love relationships.

“Amy!” I yelled to get the attention of a brown haired girl.

“Eunji!” She greeted back, running towards me with arms wide.

“Eunji!! I missed you so much! I can’t believe a year has already gone by.” She said as she let go of me.

“Well, as long as I’m here. That’s all that counts right?” I said with a smile.

She nodded and gave me a smile as a reply.

We soon met up with some of my old classmates. We were having the best time ever. I haven’t had this much fun for a long time. We laughed and gossiped as much as there were to.

I told them about my fatal accident, my so called boyfriend now, my new best friends, and the band’s contract.

When they heard about all the things that happened in Korea, they were amazed. It was only a year, and yet so much stuff has happened to me.

“You better show me your boyfriend. And, you better get me their CD when they debut.” One of my Korean friend name Jang Suhyun gushed to me.

I laughed at their reactions.

Time went by so fast when we were having lots of fun. After dinner, I went to the grocery store to buy some stuff to put in my fridge. After that, I went home.

Then I decided to call Wonbin, who should be just awake right now.

“Wonbin?” I said into the speaker.

“Eunji! I miss you!” He replies in a gloomy voice.

“I miss you too. Did I wake you up?” I apologetically asked.

“No, no. I’m awake. Anyways, how’s Canada?” He asked me.

“It’s great! The weather over here is nice! And I just had a great day with my friends!” I gushed happily.

“Oh, that sounds great Eunji.” He suddenly got tense.

“Wonbin. If you’re thinking I don’t miss you guys, let me tell you. I do miss you guys. I miss you even more.” I told him.

“I miss you too.” I felt his voice loosen up.

“How is the practicing coming along?” I asked him.

“Good. Apparently we’ll be able to debut in two months. That gives you enough time to come back and watch us debut.” He happily said.

“That’s great! I can’t wait your debut. I’m so proud of you. You have the chance of a lifetime. You better not miss it.” I warned him.

“As long as I have your support, I’ll try my best.” He said.

“You better get some rest. I don’t want my girlfriend to be a panda when she wakes up.” He said with a chuckle.

“Hey! You’re the one with the panda eyes. You stay up too late. I was checking my email and Miyoko was telling me that you were up late every night composing songs. I don’t want you doing that every night. Go to sleep earlier.” I backfired at him.

“Alright, alright. I’ll try.” He replied giving up.

“I guess I should get to bed then. I’ll call you some other time okay?” I told him with a yawn.

“Okay. Good night. Sleep tight.” He said softly.

“Okay. Good night Wonbin.” I said before hanging up.

I got cozy in my bed after getting off the phone. I could tell that my two months in Canada will be lots of fun.
