“Trick or treat!”
Rima smiled at the little princess and black power ranger standing at her front door as she dropped a piece of candy into each of their bags.
The two dressed up children smiled and thanked her as the candy she had just dropped joined the other pieces of candy that they had already collected in their bags and went on their way to the next house to collect more candy.
Looking across the street, Rima saw all the Halloween decorations that her neighborhood had put up. As usual, her entire neighborhood had gotten into the Halloween spirit by working together to decorate all the houses on the street. Every household had a different theme surrounding their house. There was the “Witch's Castle” directly across the street, “Goblin Graveyard” down the road, “Skeleton City” farther up the road, and many other scary places on the other side of the street. On her side of the street, there was the “Pumpkin Patch” to the left her house and the “Enchanted Forest” to the right. Her house was “Cinderella's Castle”. Rima even dressed up in a special blue-colored dress to seem more like a 'Cinderella' for the kids who would stop by her house. The sky had just begun to darken, and Rima was expecting many more kids to ring her doorbell very soon.
A moderate breeze blew its way into her house, and Rima shivered from the sudden touch of cold from the wind. Rima quickly closed the door, but as soon as she did, the doorbell rang again. Funny, she didn't recall seeing someone walking on the sidewalk. When she opened the door again, a tall figure stood in the doorway.
Rima looked him over. From the build, she could tell that it was most likely a male. He was dressed in a dark outfit; he had black shoes, black clothes, and a black cloth hid his entire face. She couldn't tell if he was a growth-spurted child dressed as a masked ninja, or a robber looking to break into her house.
“Trick or treat?” he asked.
Rima was sure now that the figure standing before her was male, just from hearing the sound of his voice. Although it was slightly muffled from the mask, she felt like she had heard a voice like that somewhere before.
As she spaced out for a second to try to match up the voice with the face of someone she knew, the man stepped closer to her as she took a step back based on instinct. By the time she realized her mistake, it was already too late. The man had already stepped into her house.
Now Rima was really getting nervous. This definitely wasn't a child who had gone through an early growth spurt.
“I would like to request a treat,” the man said this time.
Rima stared at him wide-eyed as she took another two steps back, just to have him take two more steps towards her. Okay. This was definitely NOT how trick-or-treaters were supposed to ask for candy.
He took another small step towards her as Rima proceeded to step back even farther, just to find herself backed up against a wall. Great. Now what?
The man brought his face closer to hers as he trapped her by placing his hands on the wall, just beside her shoulders.
Although she couldn't see his face, Rima could feel his gaze piercing through her. The feeling scared her and she tried to look away, since it was impossible for her to run now.
Suddenly, the man chuckled and took a step back. His arms set her free as his hands left the wall and reached up to pull off the mask, revealing a very, very familiar face.
“Kota!” Rima exclaimed in surprise. She had never thought that he would plan something like that to scare her.
Kota smiled sweetly at her as he opened his arms to her, asking for a hug.
“I got jealous of all the kids getting treats from my house and wanted one myself,” he said.
Rima frowned as looked directly at him. “You didn't have to scare me like that.”
Kota's smile disappeared when he saw that his girlfriend wasn't the least bit happy with him. His arms returned to his sides as he stood normally.
“Sorry I didn't tell you I was coming...I just wanted to surprise you. ...Are you mad?” Kota asked as he looked at his girlfriend, his head tilted slightly to the side.
Rima sighed.
Taking that as a sign of forgiveness, Kota smiled again as he approached his girlfriend for a hug with his arm spread out again. Rima didn't move, but Kota hugged her anyways.
“You look so pretty today; you're all dressed up like a princess! What's the occasion?” Kota asked playfully.
“Halloween,” Rima pretended to reply simply.
A smile started to appear on her face as Kota's arms continued to stay wrapped around her, as if he would protect her forever. Rima too raised her arms and hugged him back.
“So, can I get my treat now?” Kota asked hopefully as the two of them broke away from the hug.
“Hmm...no,” Rima decided with a wide smile.
“Why?” Kota whined.
Before Rima could answer, the doorbell rang again, which caused Rima to leave Kota standing there with a pout as she left him to go hand out candy to the children.
“Trick or treat!” they chorused when she opened the door.
Rima smiled as she began to hand out the candy, only to notice that their eyes suddenly grew wide in fear. Following their gaze, Rima turned and looked behind her, just to see Kota standing behind her smiling in his all-black attire. Frowning, Rima gave him a look and signaled for him to go back inside of the house as she finished giving out the candy.
The children looked at her with worry as she waved goodbye to them, but continued on their way anyways.
“Are you trying to keep me all to yourself?” Kota suggested playfully as Rima closed the door.
Rima looked him over. “The poor children thought you were trying to kidnap Cinderella,” she informed him.
This caused Kota to look down at his own clothes before laughing. He had forgotten that he currently gave off the impression of a criminal.
“That means that I should dress up as a prince!” Kota announced, earning a smile from Rima.
After helping Kota find prince-like attire, Rima allowed him to help her pass out candy to the children because he wouldn't scare them off anymore. Halloween went as it usually did; after a few hours of answering the door and passing out candy, the children eventually stopped coming because it was already late. Rima sighed and took off her blue high-heeled shoes before plopping down on the couch, exhausted. As she momentarily closed her eyes, she felt Kota sit down beside her.
“Thanks for the help, Kota,” Rima said as she leaned over towards him and rested her head on his shoulder with her eyes closed.
Kota smiled as he looked at his girlfriend. “Anytime. ...Can I get my treat now?” he asked childishly.
Rima opened her eyes and looked up at him, her head still resting on his shoulder.
“Fine. What do you want?” she glanced at the leftover candy. “Snickers, Reese's, Kit Kat, Milky Way, Crunch, Air-”
At that very moment, as Rima was listing the names of all the candy that were left in the basket, Kota swiftly lowered his head and planted his lips onto hers. Having been caught off-guard, Rima froze for the first few seconds before she started to return his kiss. Kota smiled cheekily as he broke off the kiss a few seconds later and looked straight at Rima, who in turn flushed and sat up straight, looking away.
“...I thought you said you wanted a treat,” Rima said quietly as she tried to keep her gaze away from Kota's eyes.
“I did,” Kota replied, still smiling at her.
“...Then do you not like sweets anymore?” Rima asked as she turned her head to look in the other direction, towards the basket of candy.
“I do...,” Kota said with a smile as he reached his hand over to her face and turned her head towards him, forcing her to look at him. “But you're sweeter than all of them combined.”
And with that, Kota stole her lips a second time. With a smile, Rima wrapped her arms around his neck as she returned his kiss once again.

Yay? I hope it was [good enough]. I should get working on those other fanfics now. XD This was just a sudden random urge that I felt like writing while thinking about Halloween and all.
I would've made it a random replacement for one of those [many] status updates I posted before, but then I went and made a poster for it...so...I figured I'd just make a new chapter....
So with that said, I wish everyone a Happy Halloween~
*Goes to write Scenario 3*
