Chapter 5

A Beam from Sadness [You]

The next day, you woke up at exactly 6 in the morning. “Great, no work today.” you said. You tied the curtains and looked at the sky. “I wonder where they are now...” you thought. You sighed and went to the bathroom already. As usual, you brushed your teeth and washed your face. After that, you went to the kitchen and cooked food. You took a bath after eating.

You were at your room that time when you noticed your phone. It was lighting. [A small light lights whenever there’s a message] You picked it and found out that Junsu texted you before leaving Korea. “Junsu... he must have texted me instead of calling me.” you said. You opened the message and read it, whew, it was long! As expected from him.

“Sweetie, we’ll be leaving now... I just texted you because you might get angry again if I’ll call you. Besides, you don’t have any work today so probably, you’ll be waking up late. I’ll call you as soon as we arrive Japan... till here. I love you and take care!” you read. “Junsu...” you continued. Suddenly, tears from your eyes began falling. “Tsk, why am I crying?” you said. Then, the door bell rang.

You dried your tears and opened the door. It was Ella. “Ella,” you greeted. “Am I too early? I’m sorry.” she replied. “No, its okay...” you replied; a bit sad. “Hey, you look sad, is it about Junsu?” she asked. “Uhm, it’s nothing. Come in.” you said.

She went in and sat at the sofa. You brought coffee and cake to her. “Thanks.” she said. You sat beside her. You were still holding your phone that time. You were looking at it with your face sad. Ella noticed it. “~~~~~?” she asked. “Yeah?” you replied. “Why are you sad?” she asked.

“I’m not sad.” you answered. “Come on... is it because he went to Japan?” Ella asked again. “Its not.” you answered. But then, you started to cry. You hugged Ella as you cry so hard. “Come on...” she said.

“Why am I crying?!!!” you said. She just rubbed your back. “I’m really a cry baby. I keep on crying over small things. I can’t take it anymore... I’m... I’m having a hard time coping up with our relationship.” you said. “You’ll learn that in time...” Ella said. “I got used to him always being next to me... and so, when the time comes he has to be away for a while, I can’t do anything but cry.” you said. Ella just rubbed your back.

“We’re the same thing, ~~~~~... I really don’t know what to do... but I keep telling myself to hold on... after all, he’s always there to make me smile.” Ella said. [I knew it! They’re a couple, after all!] “Yoochun?” you asked. “Yeah... sorry to keep it from you.” she said. “Its okay.” you answered.

“What matters is you love each other... right?” Ella asked. “Yeah...” “And no matter what happens, even though you’ve been away from each other for a short period of time... you’d still find each other as the same persons before...” she added. “I miss him already.” you said. “I miss him too.” Ella said.
