I pack our things as my five-year old daughter plays with her dolls. It means I stayed here for five more years before I really decided to go to Japan. Suddenly, So Eun entered our room, bringing food and drinks.
"How's my little princess?" She greeted and kissed Jaerin's forehead.
"I'm fine, Unnie! How about you?" she greeted back as she wrapped her arms around So Eun's neck.
So Eun carried her after putting the food she brought at the table. "I'm fine too. But I'm sad that you'll leave me already." there were sudden tears from her eyes.
"It's mom's fault! I asked her if we could just stay here but she just shook her head with a smile." Jaerin pouted.
"Hey, why is it that I'm always the wrong one?" I cried.
So Eun sat beside me as she carried Jaerin in her lap. "AJ, can't you just stay here?" she asked.
"I told you everything... I really made up my mind." I smiled.
"Tsk! You said that already. Look, you said that to me five year ago but what, you're still here?" So Eun blurted.
"Well, I'm sorry to stay here and live with you three for five more years." I crossed my arms.
"Aww! I love you so much, AJ!" So Eun said.
I smiled and answered her "I love you too... and oh, please tell Mariko that I'll send money here once I got a job already."
"No need to pay, AJ. Your little princess here paid all." So Eun pinched Jaerin's nose.
"Hehe!" Jaerin laughed and hugged So Eun tightly. "I'll really miss you, Unnie!" she said.
I smiled as I watch them hug each other. It's hard for me now... to leave with Jaerin... now that she's closer to So Eun, Yuban and Mariko. But what can I do? We're scheduled already and mom's waiting for us there... I looked at the window, into the sky. I imagined I and Jaerin at the plane riding over those white clouds. What if... I tell Jaejoong once I'm in there? Would that change everything? But then... those five long years... I would only hear things about Jaejoong whenever Nissa and Junsu call me. But everything changed... that year... last year... nothing came from them.
"AJ, are you okay? You're dreaming again." So Eun snapped me out from my thoughts.
"Mom, dreaming is for little girls like me, not you." Jaerin teased. Aww, this girl, she really knows how to tease her mom.
I ruffled her hair as I smiled. Then, I continued packing our things.
"Mom's different today." Jaerin stated.
I looked at her. "Different? What's different with your mom?" I asked her.
"You look like sad." she answered.
I smiled at her. "You're really a good observer, huh?" I ruffled her hair again.
"Mom! Stop ruffling my hair!" she pouted as she fixed her headband. "Are you thinking of something?" she asked then.
"S-something?" I repeated.
"Maybe, you're thinking of appa..."
JaeJoong’s P.O.V.||
I sneezed that moment. I pinched my nose feeling that it was just itchy. I was seated at the couch, in front of the big window. I am now one of the five stockholders of Nissa's father's company. Not forget to mention her... she's also one of us. The door flung open and I know... those heavy footsteps, it belongs to Nissa.
"Yah! Kim Jaejoong!" her angry voice rang around the room.
"What, master?" I sarcastically asked as I tilted my chair to face the 'MASTER'
"Snacks time." she squealed and pulled me out from the chair.
"Hey! I'm not yet hungry!!" I shouted as I tried to pull myself away from her grip. It's useless, she's like stronger than a monster for me so... I just let her be...
As we reach the cafe, there was Junsu, seated at the chair.
"Sit." Nissa said with her happy voice.
"What's with that look?" I asked her in confusion.
"Did you forget? You told me you'll treat me today?" she replied.
"WHAT? For heaven's sake, I did not say anything like that!" I denied.
"Ya, Kim Jaejoong's denying his promise." she pouted.
"Hyung, just let her have what she wants... she has something to tell you." Junsu interrupted. Yeah, our Junsu here... he changed a lot now... he's more mature and more... .....noisy.
"Okay, fine." I answered under my breath. "What do you want, master?" I obeyed.
"Anything." she nodded as she looked at the menu at the top of the counter.
"I know you want chocolate fudge cake." I said heavily. I called the waiter and ordered chocolate fudge cake for three, nope, for four. We got some cake monster eater here. You know her, she's Nissa, and when she's always asking me to treat her... honestly, the money I brought would be less than half before leaving this cafe. "Now what?" I asked her as soon as the waiter had gone to get our orders.
"I'll tell you while eating, going to the cr." she said and stood up.
"Aish, she's such an irritating cliffhanger." I mumbled.
"Hyung, why did you order for four? It should be for five." Junsu suggested.
"Go order yourself for five." I said.
As the waiter brought the orders, Nissa came out from the cr.
"So, you smelled the food is here..." I teased.
"Maybe. My stomach told me to come here already." my teases won't really affect her.
"So, what's the matter?" I asked as I took my first bite.
"Well, guess what, dad planned to send you to the company's Japanese branch." she reported.
"Japan?" I repeated.
"Duh, what do you expect, China?" She sarcastically asked.
Any minute now and I will kick her out from here. "Sorry." I apologized sarcastically.
"So... what's the impact?" she asked me.
"It's good... something tells me I should accept it." I answered.
"Really? Wow, it means you love Japanese girls." she joked.
"Yeah, right." I rolled my eyes. And soon, I remembered AJ... what could she be... doing now?
