"Ohayo!!!!!" I screamed as I ran towards the dining room. My mom, who was preparing for our breakfast, startled.
"Stop doing that, Maki… You're scaring me…"
I laughed. "Gomen, mama…."
"Hmm…. Today, are you going to be late?" asked my dad.
I nodded as I took a bite of the bread. "Hait!" I then looked at my watch. My eyes widened and shouted. "Ahh!!!!!!! I'm late!!!! Aya had waited for me outside!" Immediately, I drank my milk and ate my bread and took my bag.
"Again?!" asked my dad, sighed. I grinned innocently.
"Bye mama… Bye papa…." I kissed their cheek. And quickly ran towards the door.
"Maki!!! Be careful, dear…" Maki's mom sighed and shook her head. "She had always done this…"
I closed the door and tripped my foot. I groaned and rubbed at my leg. I looked at my watch and immediately ran and looked around for Aya… I had always late for school since I was just in the middle school. I loved do things in the last minutes. My mom and dad had always scolded me for being such a careless. It wasn’t that I intended to but it was my nature for being late.
Well, my name is Horikta Maki. A 22- years- old lady, who still studied in the university. I lived with my mom, dad and my two big brothers. Obviously, I'm the youngest in the family. My mom, Horikita Junko was a housewife; she stopped working when I was born. She was a nice and talkative lady. My dad, Horikta Takeru was manager in the local bank; he had become one when he was just 29 years old. Hmm… He was the youngest manager at that time. He was promoted because of his sincerity and hardworking. Unlike my mom, my dad was quiet one; he didn’t like to talk much. My eldest brother, Horikita Shinya worked as a young doctor at the university hospital. He was my favorite one. He loved me more that he loved anything else. He had always cared for me and always be the one who comforted me. Unlike my second brother, Horikita Hikaru. He used to study at Todai University. He was now working at my dad's office. He was the most intelligent among us three. He had always bullied me and made fun of me. But then, I knew he loved me… he bought me a new cell phone on my 16th birthday. And it was a new model!
As for me, I'm a clumsy and normal girl. I had always been a normal in everything. Unlike my brothers, they were always on top at school and everything. But I'm just a normal and average kind of girl. During my school days, all my school studies and everything had always been normal and common. The highest marks I got in the class were 60% at least. Well, nothing to be proud of. But my mom and dad had been coolest parents I had ever had, always by my side in everything. I had always been cheerful and happy in everything but…. Not since I met him.
It started at that time… The time, when I met him for the first time…. Our eyes were locked at each other. For the first time, I had my heart pounding so hard….
