They planned their whole vacation, and even made out a schedule of what they would do everyday for 3 weeks. Grace didn't want to face what was going to happen when her brother and Tracy come back.
Aimee wanted to go, but she knew she couldn't. Her parents were getting even more busier in Hong Kong. They were even going to rent a house. They had to stay for 4 more weeks before they were going back to Toronto.
----------THAT AFTERNOON----------
*RINNGG RINNNGGG* Aimee's cellphone rang. She rummaged through her bag for her phone. When she took it out, she looked at the name of the person who called her.
She glanced at Matthew. "Why did you call me?"
Matthew smiled, "I saw that you weren't really happy, and you're thinking too much. Tell me what happened."
Aimee shook her head. There was a nearby bench, so they decided to sit for awhile.
Aimee looked at the ocean. Matthew watched her, and then said, "Wait, I'll buy you a drink."
Aimee nodded.
*****FIVE MINUTES LATER*****
Matthew slowly walked back to Aimee holding two sodas. Aimee looked back and saw Matthew, as Matthew handed her the soda.
"Do you know why life is so complicated?" Aimee asked.
"Why ask?" Matthew said looking at her.
"Because... if Uncle Ip's family and Uncle Wong's family were friends, then Tracy and Bosco's relationship would be totally different," Aimee explained.
Understandingly, Matthew nodded. "I understand what you are trying to say. But that's the way life is. Bosco met you and Tracy at the same time. Why didn't he like you, and like Tracy? Do you understand?"
Aimee nodded, then shook her head. "So, what does (Matthew copies what Aimee just did) mean?" Matthew asked with a smile.
"I don't know," Aimee said getting up.
Matthew got up as she started walking.
"Chase me home... If you can catch me!!!" Aimee said starting to run.
Matthew laughed, "I sure will!!!"
