Chapter 16

The maid

[Recap]

“Yah, don’t play in my car. You’ll pay for the damages if you cause any,”

“Sorry,”

I apologized sincerely yet Yunho whispered into my ear.

“I’ll get back at you in the rides later on,”

With that, he sent me a smirk with a serving of shivers down my spine. I moved back to my original position awkwardly.

[End of Recap]

[Third Person’s POV]

A feebly figure appeared from behind the open doors of the storage closet and dragged the bucket behind her. It was the nurse that attended to Yunho and Ri In when they were in the hotel.

Pushing the cleaners’ cart, she walked to Jung Yunho’s room and knocked on it three times, making sure that he went to her manager’s house so that she would secure her position as the Supervisor of Cleaning Department.

Side note: I mean, who would actually do all these just to secure their position as the supervisor of what seems like a maid service? Especially when it was Jung Yunho’s chastity they were sacrificing!

…Well, if it was the manager or some rank higher than a supervisor, maybe… just maybe, I’ll do that too. But that’s not the point, I mean –, let’s get on with the story, shall we? :]

The hotel maid smiled to herself when no one answered the door, which meant that Yunho was gone and he should most probably be at her manager’s house right now.

She pushed down the door knob and trudged her head in, with a wry smile plastered over her face. She looked around and stepped into the hotel room, pushing the cleaners’ cart in front of her.

Whistling happily to herself, she vacuumed the floor and dusted the bed, since Yunho didn’t touch the bed. After making sure the room was tidied to the hotel’s expectations, she pushed the cleaners’ cart out of the room and proceeded to Room 2039, the room which Ri In was staying in.

She knocked on the door a triplet and yet nobody answered. She knocked on it for another 3 times but still, nobody answered. She thought that it was weird that nobody answered he door and was worried that something may have happened to the hotel guest.

“Miss! Miss! Are you alright?”

She shouted while banging on the door frantically, not knowing what has happened to the lady inside. Grabbing the ring of keys in her uniform pocket, she hurriedly rambled through the numerous keys, to find the spare key to Room 2039.

Sloppily and messily, she inserted the key into the key hole and turned it, only to find out that she had in fact, locked the door instead of unlocking it. Turning the key in the other direction once more, she pushed the door knob down in bewilderment and let the door creaked open by itself.

Although she feared what may be inside the room, she went in to look for Ri In out of curiosity of where she may have disappeared to. She walked in, step by step, and looked around – from he bathroom to the wardrobe and eventually, under the bed.

“Where could she have gone to?”

She asked herself mentally as she placed her hands on her hips. She cracked her neck to the left and then the right, and spotted a piece of paper left on the bedside table, under the telephone.

As she mouthed the message written on the piece of paper, she gradually swallowed the words back in and did a silent gasp.

“Oh no, Mr Kwon!”

Not knowing what to do next, the only words that came into her mind escaped freely out of her mouth. Thinking that her position would not be safe nor secure after this incident, she was even more worried and anxious. Although she did not want her manager to know that Yunho didn’t go to her house, at a circumstance like this, he was the only one that she could turn to.

She ran out of the room, not concerned about leaving the cleaners’ cart behind, and also not showing any concern of leaving the door to the hotel room open. On her first instinct, she dashed through the door and scuttled around the hotel, shouting for her manager.

[Hotel maid’s POV]

“Aish, I’m in big trouble now,”

I ran round the whole level and couldn’t find Mr Kwon, so I decided to look for him in his office, where I should have searched from the very start.

“Mr Kwon!”

I shouted as I pushed open the door without knocking first, thus having my eyes to take in the unpleasant sight of Mr Kwon’s cramping face.

“Do you mind?”

Mr Kwon replied in a very feminine manner. How I want to call him Ms Kwon because of the way he is always behaving. He is so going to fire me when he knows about what I just found out earlier. Especially because of his love for U-know Yunho.

“No Mr Kwon, I have something very important to tell you,”

“Well, what is it? Be quick, cause Yunho’s waiting for me at home,”

He stated with much confidence, clasping his hands together and resting his cheek against it while smiling at his imaginary thought bubble. I bet he was thinking about some immoral stuff.

“Mr Kwon, I don’t think he is at your house right now…”

My voice trailed off, hoping that he wouldn’t hear me and then I can push the blame to him later on, saying that I told him but he wouldn’t listen. What a smart employee am I.

“What?!”

Okay, he heard me. I’m still smart, except that Mr Kwon is a little bit smarter.

“Is there traffic now?”

I take my last sentence back.

“No Mr Kwon. It’s not the traffic. Nothing’s wrong, just that U-Know Yunho ran away,”

I smiled awkwardly at Mr Kwon as his eyes grew bigger. He stood up in slow motion, gradually letting his mouth hang open too.

“What?!”

Mr Kwon let out a very un-glamorous yell and looked at me, with grief clearly depicted in his eyes. Aish, Mr Kwon is such a fragile man. I change that to er, woman?

“Okay… glad that’s settled”

I let out a sigh of relief as I closed the door behind me. Better inform the registration counter that Rooms 2039 and 2040 is vacant.

I made my way to the registration counter and went back to clean the rooms. Stepping into Room 2039, I dropped the piece of paper that Yunho wrote on into the waste paper bin before leaving.

“What a waste of time and effort. There goes my supervisor position,”

I stared into blank space for a few seconds before continuing my round. I only made a few steps before I saw Mr Kwon walking towards my direction.

“Mr Kwon…”

He ignored my presence and went straight into Room 2039.

“Mr Kwon!”

[Theodore’s POV]

5 minutes…

10 minutes…

15 minutes…

Don’t tell me that even Mickey has left me behind!

Mickey then came running back to me, smiling from ear to ear with a room key in his left hand. He waved the key happily at me and stopped when he reached me. I stood up, so I was about his height.

At last he came back.

“Room 2039… How convenient, it’s only two doors away from ours,”

He smiled and walked towards the room that he had just opened. He turned the doorknob and went inside.

“Room 203… Wow,”

Yeah, wow. Looks like the hotel maid didn’t open a room and did it here openly instead. What made us stone was the scene right before our eyes. A hotel maid was on top of a man dressed in a black suit. They seemed to be…

Nah, they’re not doing anything immoral or disgusting yet. They were fully clothed. Besides, they can’t be er… you know what, when the hotel maid was pinning the man down onto the bed with a mop across his neck and the man was trying in desperate attempts to mummify the hotel maid.

“We’ll take our leave –,”

“Oh no sir, we’ll be leaving,”

“That’s okay, continue what you were doing,”

“Well, wait outside. It’ll only take a while,”

Mickey was dumbfounded at what the hotel maid told him but we went outside to wait nevertheless. It was confirmed that they were having a fight earlier on since we heard screams and sounds of head crashing against each other as soon as we left the room.

There's gonna be skinship in the next chapter. o.O!!!
But it isn't real though.
And the skinship is between the wrong parties.
So you would also hope that it's fake. :D
LOL, false alarm, false alarm. :]
