I looked underneath the blanket, and I was only wearing a white and almost transparent blouse and a pair of shorts that only covered one-fifth of my thighs.
“Aish! What happened? Remember! Remember!”

I forced myself, slapping myself on the forehead.
It was when the bathroom door opened and I saw someone coming out. I hurriedly pretended that I was sleeping. With that person’s back facing me, I opened an eye to see who he was and what he was doing. From the reflection in the dressing table’s mirror, I saw that he was soaking a face towel into a basin of water. But he was bending down, so I couldn’t see his face.
“Should I kick his family jewel or just poke him in the eye?”
He walked towards me and I continued closing my eyes, trying to catch him unawares. I felt the warm towel settling down on my forehead. I felt the same gentle hands sweeping off the hair that was irritating my face.
“Aish, dummy ah, wake up! You made me take care of you for the whole night when you got me into such a big mess. Wake up and bring me back to where I belong. Although you’re a very cute girl and I can’t really bear to leave you, hah, I still need to go back. After all, I am U-know Yunho…”
“That voice is very familiar,”
I opened my eyes slowly.
“Ah! It’s him! It’s that petty man who left me behind all alone yesterday!”
I closed my eyes again, this time, my eyebrows pointing down to my nose, frowning.
“Aye dummy ah~ since you’re still asleep, there may still be enough time for me to completely devour you…”
He finished his sentence off with a wicked chuckle and bent lower to my face.
I opened my eyes a few millimeters due to the sudden silence. I took a peek and saw him coming nearer to me like he was going to kiss me!
“Yah! What are you trying to do?”
I shouted at him as I got up.
Who knew that when I got up, he still hasn’t moved away yet? Our lips touched each other’s lips and for a few seconds, we froze in that position. I blinked thrice and he just stared at me. We both moved away from each other. Each one of us went to each side of the bed. I grabbed the blanket along with me to the ground. Both our heads sunk down under the bed rink.
“Oh my god, what just happened? Tell me this is just a nightmare. Wake up!”
I thought to myself as I tried to slap myself awake.
Both our heads emerged from the bed rink and then ducked back under again when we saw each other. The situation and atmosphere was very awkward. I started talking to break the ice and change the funny feeling.
“You…”
Wait, what was I thinking? He may have done something wrong to me!
“Yah! What did you do last night?”
I stood up from behind the bed and stared at him sternly, with my hands on my hips. I looked at him and waited for an answer.
[Yunho’s POV]
“Maybe I shouldn’t be that harsh on the girl. She is just another girl who is too innocent that makes her look stupid. But she got me separated from the only few people I know in this place where I have come to for the first time! Aish, Yunho ah Yunho! I am a man. And a man has to do what a man got to do!”
I made a quick U-turn and drove back.
“Moreover, it’s not like I don’t want a holiday. I mean, that was the reason why I stayed in the taxi for the whole time,”
I reached to the very place I left her behind at. I saw her, sitting over there, helpless. She was cuddled up like a ball, close to the railing. As I walked closer, I saw that her knee was cut. Blood had already seeped through the white cloth that she used to wrap her wound. I ran towards her, I just had the feeling that I want to be there for her.
I shook her shoulder to check if she was alright. She made no response.
“Hey dummy, wake up,”
“Save me, save me from the ghost,”
“GHOST?”
I looked around me. I admit, I am afraid of ghosts. Can this girl see one?
I touched her forehead to double-check, just in case. Omo, it was very hot. Her fever must have already reached the stage where she is hallucinating.
I looked at her and hurriedly carried her up in my arms. I hung the hand carry around my shoulder and walked back into the car.
The sooner we get out of here, the sooner I will be away from the “unspeakables”. I mean, the sooner we can attend to her fever.
But, even when in shows, there is always an NG in this particular scene. A scenario when a guy tries to carry a girl into the backseat of the car. And yes, I made that mistake again. I accidentally knocked her head. But thank goodness, she isn’t conscious. Heh.
I drove us to a hotel. Well, I didn’t know my way around and my handphone battery was flat. So that was our only resort.
I walked into the hotel and a guy, whom I think is the manager, came up to me. He must have thought I drugged this dummy here. He should have heard what I told the taxi driver earlier on.
“U-know Yunho, may I be of any assistance?”
He started speaking in Korean. He knows me too?!
“You know me?”
“Yes. In fact, your manager has informed all the hotels to bring you to them as soon as possible. I’ll go inform them right now,”
As he turned his back, ready to make a phone call to manager hyung, I stopped him in time.
“No, don’t tell them I am here. I’ll go back on my own, just open two rooms for me and you have helped me enough,”
“But…”
“This girl is running a high fever right now. Get someone who knows how to speak Korean to assist me,”
I walked away when the manager nodded to my request.
A hotel maid helped me open the door to the room and I carried this dummy – girl onto the bed.
“Change her out of her dirty and soiled clothes and change her bandage,”
I was going to walk out of the room before the hotel maid started again.
“Change her into what?”
I looked down to my hands. I took out a grey sweater and a pair of… er… apple boxers.
“Here, pick any of the clothes,”
I handed the hotel maid the hand carry and walked out of the room, trying to hide the apples on the boxers.
I went into my own room and lay on the bed. Finally I can lay down comfortably. Hope this holiday is able to last long. I closed my eyes and just when I was about to take a short nap, there was a knock on the door.
“Aish,”
I went to answer the door and then the same hotel maid was standing there.
“This is all filled with blouses and a brief,”
“Do you have any bottoms suited for a girl of her size to wear then?”
“I’ll see if any of my colleagues have an extra pair,”
She just walked away like that, pushing the hand carry into my hands and leaving the two room keys to me.
See, she could have figured that out by herself and she chose to disturb me!
I went back and lay on the bed and was about to take a short nap again, when I remembered that dummy was running a high fever. I got up, once again, and opened the door to her room.
She was tucked neatly under her blanket. I placed my palm over her forehead again, and it was still very hot. The door opened and the same hotel maid walked in with a pair of shorts in her hands.
“Sir, you have to go out now, I am going to help her change,”
“Oh sure, prepare a basin of warm water and a towel for me too. Knock on my door when you are done,”
I walked back into my room once more. Somehow I had the feeling and the urge to want to take care of the dummy back there. Maybe it’s because of the reason she doesn’t fall all over me like the other fans do. Or… maybe she just doesn’t know me? Nah, that can’t be it. Who wouldn’t know me? I mean, I am U-know Yunho.
So I stood there in front of my door, with the key in my hand but I didn’t do anything. I was just debating in my mind. When I finally decided to continue debating with myself inside the room, the maid opened the room and came out.
“I’m done sir, the basin and towel is on the bedside table,”
With that, she walked off. Aish, I haven’t got my sleep yet. Even though I was very tired, I still dragged my feet with a heavy heart and opened the door to the dummy’s room.
There she is, her head on the pillow, still tucked under her blanket. I walked over to her bed and sat beside her. I felt her forehead again, it was still very hot. I took the towel that was already soaked in the basin of warm water and placed it on her forehead. I changed the water and towel every half an hour. I was so busy taking care of her that I didn’t even sleep a wink the whole night.
Well, I did have a chance to sleep. But for some reason, I didn’t want to. I sat beside her bed the whole time and looked at her angelic face. I just knew that every minute shouldn’t be wasted on other things than looking at her.
*Beep beep*
There goes my alarm once again, signaling me to change the water and towel for this dummy over here. I took off the towel and felt her forehead. The temperature has gone down a little. I carried the basin to the bathroom and turned on the tap. And then, nature called. I closed the bathroom door and did my business.
I relieved myself and went out again with the basin of water in my hand. I placed the basin on the dressing table, which was in front of the bed. I soaked and squeezed the towel. When I looked up and glanced into the mirror, I saw dummy closing her eye. So she has woken up and is still pretending to be asleep.
“See how I’ll get you,”
I took the towel and went to her bed. I placed the towel on her forehead again and brushed off the hair on her face. Even if I didn’t see her just now in the reflection, I would have still guessed she had woken up from her slumber.
Well, there wasn’t any wind and her hair is all over her face, that’s why.
“Aish, dummy ah, wake up! You made me take care of you for the whole night when you got me into such a big mess. Wake up and bring me back to where I belong. Although you’re a very cute girl and I can’t really bear to leave you, hah, I still need to go back. After all, I am U-know Yunho…”
“Wait, this can’t wake her up,”
“Aye dummy ah~ since you’re still asleep, there may still be enough time for me to completely devour you…”
I let out an evil laughter.
