Charmaine Cheuk(28): Daughter of Moses and Bernice, descendant of Jessica. Has a Masters degree in Computer Science and History. She has a very carefree personality like her father; she is very firm like her great, great, great grandmother Jessica and won’t back down without a fight carrying this trait off her mother Bernice. By accident she travels backwards in time to the year 2007 where she meets her great, great grandmother Jessica. By default she meets her father Moses and mother Bernice realising that they are totally different to the Bernice and Moses she knows. Charmaine also meets and become friends with her mother. She enters her family business working in the hotel in the house keeping department where she meets Frankie Lam who she develops feelings for. She also meets Raymond, Frankie’s younger brother as well as her father’s best friend, because of his playboy and snobby attitude she begins to hate him on top of the fact that she thinks he is a bad influence to her father.
Cast End of Qing Dynasty:
Jessica/Hsuan Huan(30): Comes from a royal family in the Qing Dynasty. She is gentle but firm and is very traditional with her thoughts and always follows the rules. She was forced to leave her childhood love Ga Wing (Kevin) because of politics during that time she was arranged to marry Cheuk Hei (Ron) the son of the Emperor’s brother who is also a general officer. Because Cheuk Hei treats her very well she soon learns to love him however he was hurt during a fierce war and on the verge of dying. At that time, by accident Jessica time travels into the future of 2007 where she meets Charmaine her great, great granddaughter as well as her and Cheuk Hei’s descendents, only realising that they have established a family business of opening a hotel chain around the world. In present time she bumps into Ga Wing’s descendent Kevin where a relationship will develop.
Cheuk Hei[Ron] (26): Come from the royal family in the Qing Dynasty. He is also a general officer. Has a very loving and caring personality and is also very loyal to his country and the people he loves. Since he was small he had always loved and admired Jessica. Because of the emperor’s order he was lucky enough to marry her.
Cheng Ga Wing[Kevin] (32): Comes from a poor family that works for Jessica’s family. He and Jessica were childhood lovers and were determined to marry each other when they grew up. With this thought he was determined to study hard hoping to work within the political system. Even though he was able to become an officer by the emperor’s side but his childhood dream was shattered when Jessica was arranged to marry Cheuk Hei.
Cast Year 2007:
Lam Family: The Lam family are partners with the Cheuk family in opening the international hotel chain.
Raymond Lam(29): Comes from a rich family and is the younger brother of Frankie. He is a typical playboy that has nothing better to do than flirt around and spend money. His wealthy background doesn’t need him to work because no matter how much he spends and uses he won’t be able to use up his families fortune. He is best friends with Moses. He looks down on poor people and thinks highly of himself. He was forced to work at the hotel when his brother threaten to cut his financial limit and there he met Charmaine who he hated and looked down on thus he would often give her a hard time. He found out that she liked Frankie and decided to set them two up so Frankie would be occupied and not be constantly on his back making him work. During this time he unknowingly he started having subtle feelings towards her.
Frankie Lam(33): He is a hard worker trying to keep the family business of the hotel to run smoothly. Frankie shares the General Manager Position with Ron. He is a loving brother, which makes him an easy target for Raymond to manipulate him into not having to work. However, because of incidents he threatens Raymond, cutting him off all his finance forcing him to work at the hotel. He meets Charmaine who likes him, though he doesn’t really like her but with the help of Raymond they gradually begin a relationship.
Cheuk Family: Descendants of Jessica and Cheuk Hei, thus having royal blood. Are the main owners and shareholders of the hotel chain and have been family friends with the Lam family for a very long time.
Moses(32): He is the great, great grandson of Jessica as well as the father of the future Charmaine. He is best friends with Raymond, thus having similar personality where all he likes to do is play and find working is just for people who are stupid. Although he is the CEO of the Hotel Chain he doesn’t do anything for the hotel. His rich and royal background has brought him up to think that money can get him anything and everything. Due to several incidents he meets Bernice but because of several incidents they dislike each other. He also meets his daughter Charmaine and great, great grandmother Jessica but he does not know who they actually are.
Ron(27): Also a descendant of the royal family and cousin of Moses. He takes on the traits of his great, great, grandfather Cheuk Hei and looks exactly like him. He is the General Manager of the Hotel Chain with Frankie. Like his great, great grandfather, Ron is very loyal and takes care of the family business on behalf of his cousin Moses, however he doesn’t mind because he thinks it is in his nature to take care of his family. Ever since he saw Myolie he had fallen for her. He gets really nervous around her and although to other people its really obvious that he likes her, she had no clue.
Cheng Family: Descendants of Ga Wing. For many years the Cheng Family have assisted the Cheuk family in their hotel business.
Kevin(32): Descendant of Ga Wing. Assistant General Manager of the hotel chain. Like his great, great grandfather he had worked and studied hard to earn his position within the hotel chain. He is an honest businessman with no bad intentions. He meets Jessica and after perusing her for a while they finally become a couple however after a while he finds out who she really is.
Tavia(26): Descendant of Ga Wing and younger sister of Kevin. After studying from overseas she returns to Hong Kong and works in the hotel with her brother. She has every good trait but the only thing that pulls her down is that she lets her emotions take over her conscious. She meets up with Ron, her childhood best friend who she had always admired since they were small. She also meets Bosco, where situations would occur changing her life.
Bernice Liu(28): She is a chef in one of the restaurants in the hotel. Bernice is very self protective as well as very protective over the people she loves. She’s not very feminie and will not back down with out a fight or argument. She is best friends with Myolie then later becomes good friends with her future daughter Charmaine. She meets Moses the rich heir but because of misunderstandings she really dislikes him. However with the help of Charmaine she begins to gradually change her view of Moses.
Myolie Wu(25): Works as a receptionist at the front desk. She is very innocent, naïve; gullible thus is always being taken advantage of. She is best friends with Bernice then later becomes good friends with Charmaine. Because of Myolie’s personality, Jessica treats her like a servant similar to the one she had in her royal days in the past. She meets Ron who likes her but she is so clueless that she has no idea he likes her even though its really obvious. Through coincidence she also meets Bosco and brings happiness to his life.
Ma Family: The Ma family have always been opposing families with the Cheuk family ever since the Qing dynasty. They also own a five star hotel chain.
Joe Ma(33): Joe is the CEO of his hotel chain. He often uses corrupt and immoral methods to get what he wants. Following his ancestors his main goal in life asides form gaining money is to breakdown the Cheuk and Lam family, especially Moses. He has two younger brothers Steven and Bosco. He is very good to his second brother Steven but because Bosco is only his dads step son, meaning he is not biological related to him, Joe dislikes him but still pretends to treat him well.
Steven Ma(30): Steven is the second son in the Ma family. He holds the General manager position in the Ma hotel chain. Steven is very hot tempered and is easily provoked especially by his rival Raymond. Raymond and Steven had been in the same classes ever since high school, they even studied the same course at university however Steven had always lost to Raymond in everything. He helps his brother Joe for the main reason to bring Raymond down.
Bosco Wong[Ma] (27): Bosco is the third son in the Ma family, however he is not Joe and Steven’s biological brother but an orphan brought home by their parents. He is a CID in the Hong Kong police force. He is very intelligent but because the way his brothers treat him, he is more introverted, only likes to work with no hobbies. By coincidence he meets Myolie who helps him see the happiness with life and begins to like her. He also meets Tavia who gradually falls for him. Just as everything in his life is going smoothly, a secret is revealed to him changing his life.

I know the forward is long but just wanted to give an overview of each character along with their personalities and stuff..
I've decided to take a diff approach in writing this time and also because of the large cast.. some character may not appear straight away and will gradually be incorporated as the story goes on...
