Bernice held out her lunchbox, “Taste it…”
Kevin and Ron both looked over at each other, “Do you want me to call security?” Kevin asked Moses.
Moses took his glasses off and threw them on the table, “What?”
Bernice opened up the lunchbox and shoved it in front of Moses face, “Taste it.”
Moses glanced at Bernice then at the lunchbox, “I don’t want to die.”
Bernice took a spoon from the pocket in her apron and took a scoop shoving it near Moses mouth, “Just taste it…”
“Ohh… now I’m convinced,” he said sarcastically while pushing Bernice’s hand away, “My life is very valuable.”
Ron and Kevin had no idea what was going on, they both sat quietly just watching Bernice trying to force feed Moses. Ron glanced at his watch and stood up, “I have to get going,” and walked out of the room.
Moses kept sitting with his arms crossed and mouth shut; Bernice stuck the spoon full of food and stuck it right in front of his mouth, touching his lips, “Just eat it!”
Moses really couldn’t be bothered to argue with her anymore and opened his mouth taking a bite. He immediately felt like gagging after taking a bite, Moses chew a little but couldn’t stand it anymore and spat it back out in Bernice’s lunchbox.
“Why do you keep on serving rubbish?” Moses wiped his mouth and gargled his mouth.
Bernice looked at her food, without saying anything else she ran back out of the room.
Moses leaned back on his chair and put his aviator sunglasses back on and continued sleeping.
*Grand Hotel, Lobby, 1:48pm*
Frankie was at the front desk checking the sales, bookings and rooms for the day, “Seems like a good start for the week.”
Myolie passed of the printed files of the sales, “We’ve had a full booking for today.”
Frankie scanned through the files and smiled, “Thanks.”
“No worries, Mr Lam,” Myolie sat back down and continued to check customers in.
Frankie flipped through the files while walking towards the elevator. From the corner of his eye he saw Raymond jumping out of a taxi running towards him, he didn’t stop but kept walking.
Raymond ran in the hotel finally catching up to Frankie, “Dai Gor, where did you hide my keys? And you really cut all my cards.”
Frankie pressed the up button and kept looking through the file, “I told you that if you don’t work then that’s what I’m going to do.”
“But…” Raymond began to say.
“If you work, then you’ll get money and on top of that I’ll reactivate your credit cards and give you back you cars,” Frankie told Raymond making a deal with him.
Raymond thought for a while, he guessed working wouldn’t be that bad. And he knew that he would probably have some manager’s position where he just had to sit in an office all day so technically working would be just coming in the officer everyday and that he can handle, “Deal.”
Frankie and Raymond stepped inside the elevator, “You can start tomorrow then but I’ll get you prepared first,” Frankie said with a slight grin attached to his face.
They both walked out of the elevator and strolled towards the House Keeping department. Raymond had never been to this part of the hotel before. Frankie stopped at the House Keeping office and walked inside, he knocked on the department manager Louisa So’s door.
“Hey Frankie,” Louisa greeted Frankie, she looked at Raymond and smiled, “Hey Raymond.”
Raymond smiled slightly and sat on the couch across her desk. Frankie sat on the chair, “I know your recruiting staff and I have just the man for you,” Frankie said pointing his finger at Raymond.
Raymond jumped up hearing what Frankie had just said, “What?”
“But his your brother and…” Louisa started saying.
“Don’t treat him like my brother, treat him as a normal employee of the company. I want you to train him up with the other new employee’s so he can start working,” Frankie said.
Raymond tugged on Frankie’s shirt, “Dai Gor…”
Frankie pulled his arm away from Raymond, “Thanks Louisa.”
“Um… it’s ok, but he has to wear a uniform. I’ll just get one for him,” Louisa walked out of the room leaving Frankie and Raymond in her office.
“Come on… you’ve got to be kidding me right? This is like the worst job in the hotel,” Raymond started complaining, “Can’t I work in the office or something?”
“And do nothing? I don’t think so young man,” Frankie laughed.
“Your beginning to be like dad. What happened to my cool brother?” Raymond tried looking all innocent so Frankie could take his word back.
“Not working brother,” Frankie patted him on the shoulder, “Be on time tomorrow.”
Louisa walked back into the apartment carrying a plastica bag, he handed the bag to Raymond, “Great to have you on board Raymond. We start tomorrow at 6am.”
“As in 6 in the morning?” Raymond exclaimed, 6am was usually he fell asleep after a night out.
Frankie grabbed the plastic bag off Louisa and threw it at Raymond, “Thanks again.”

*On the Street, 2:26pm*
Jessica had been home alone for a long time and without her servants by her side she decided to step outside the apartment by herself and wonder the streets. She had started walking following the footpath to where ever it leads her. After hours of walking she finally came to a stop feeling tired, she grabbed a hanky out of her pocket and wiped the bench clean before sitting on it.
She stared around at the busy road with traffic and people surrounding her. She had never experienced such huge crowds, the noise of the around her was giving her a headache and soon she was beginning to feel dizzy. Jessica shook her head a little; from the corner of her eye she saw a familiar face.
Ron walked out of a café holding onto a few folders, “Thanks Mr. Tong, I’ll get someone to send you the contract in the next few days,” Ron shook persons hand and left.
He turned around exposing his whole face and began walking down the street on the other side of the road from Jessica. She stood up seeing Ron and began running after him on the opposite side of the road.
“Cheuk Hei! Cheuk Hei!” Jessica kept shouting.
Jessica had mistaken Ron who looked exactly like his great, great grandfather to be himself. She didn’t even look at the on coming cars and for the first time, sprinted after him.
Ron unlocked his car just as Jessica caught up to him. Forgetting that she was living in modern times and that Cheuk Hei did not exist anymore, she tugged on his shirt pulling him back from his car dropping all his folders.
“Wahh…” he yelled almost falling flat on his back.
Jessica stood facing Ron, “Cheuk Hei, where have you been? I’ve been so worried. This place is so foreign to me, I’m so glad you’re here with me now," she kept touching his face making sure it wasn't a dream.
Ron back away a little feeling quite scared, “I don’t know you.”
“What do you mean you know me? It’s me Hsuan Huan, don’t let the clothes and hair fool you. I’m still the same person,” Jessica explained with much emphasis that she was the same person.
Ron bent down and quickly picked up his folders, “Sorry but I really don’t know you,” he glanced at his watch realising he had another meeting to attend, “I’ve got to go. Hope you can find your friend soon,” Ron jumped in his car and sped off down the street leaving Jessica behind.

*Outside Westwood Apartment, 6:31pm*
Although Charmaine didn’t have to, but she waited for Bernice and Myolie to finish work so they could come home together. All three of them jumped off the bus and strolled up the street back to the apartment.
For some reason Myolie felt a strong connection of friendship between Charmaine, even though she only knew Charmaine for a short period of time but she felt that there was a natural link between the both of them.
Myolie linked arms with Charmaine, “Did they accept your application?”
“Yeh. Is the hotel short on staff because they didn’t even interview me and said I can start training tomorrow. But its in the House Keeping department,” Charmaine sounded a little disappointed that this was the only department hiring because she knew that it was a probably one of the most difficult and tiring departments.
Bernice could immediately tell that Charmaine didn’t like House Keeping and decided it was her chance to talk her out of it so she wouldn’t see her at work and at home, “Yeh, House Keeping is really bad. You have wake up early and the hours are long. You’ll probably end up like me and spend most of my days at work,” Bernice purposely talk negative trying to convince Charmaine not to work.
Charmaine thought about Bernice’s words, although it was tough doing their job but at least she could spend time with her mother which was one of her main goals, “Actually I’ll take it,” Charmaine linked her other arm with Bernice who was a little uncomfortable and tried to pull away but couldn’t, “It will be so fun, I can go to work with you, then have lunch with you and then we can come home together after work.”
Bernice smiled fakely but deep inside she wanted to bang her head against the wall.
On the other hand Myolie was extremely excited about Charmaine working with them, “I think it will be so great.”
“I know, I’m just so excited,” Charmaine was so thrilled she started jumping up and down the street. She glanced over on the other side of the road and Jessica walking aimlessly by herself, she knew something wasn’t right, “Jessica is just over there, I’ll see what she’s up to,” she told Bernice and Myolie.
Bernice waited till Charmaine was across the road and pulled Myolie to the side, “I have to tell you something.”
Myolie almost tripped being pulled by Bernice, “What?”
“I think Charmaine likes me…”
