“Ma Duk Chung,” Jessica murmured to herself. Joe was the descendent of Ma Duk Chung, a powerful official in the Qing dynasty. For many years these two families had opposed each other.
Joe’s car pulled up behind Moses, “Bye,” he said to Jessica as he walked in his car with Steven following behind him.
Moses watched as Joe drove off, he released a gasp of breath and took his glasses off wiping them on his shirt, “Let’s go.”
Jessica kept watching Joe’s car driving off. She had encountered with his ancestors and knew they were not a good family, not only were they corrupt but they would often use illegitimate methods to get what they want. Jessica could just tell that their descendents would be similar.
Moses entered the hotel and caught the lift to his office with Jessica following behind him. He pushed the doors open and walked inside, “This is my office.”
Jessica scanned the room, it was a tidy office, a bit too tidy for a CEO. There were not paperwork or documents on his desk. Moses sat on his lounge and out his feet up, “Your only job is to assist me in what I need to do.”
Jessica saw Moses with his feet up and immediately slapped them off the table, “Tables are not for feet.”
Moses quickly took his feet off but he was still slouching on the lounge, Jessica without any hesitation pulled him to sit upright, “Sit properly.”
Again, Moses quickly sat properly. Though he did like the fact that Jessica was different to the other females he usually came in contact with but her actions were starting to scare him.
“I’ve noticed the clothes that you wear to work aren’t very appropriate,” Jessica started lecturing Moses, “And why do you always wear those sunglasses?” she pointed to the aviator glasses hanging from Moses shirt.
“I…” Moses wanted to defend himself but Jessica kept lecturing him.
“Is it sunny in doors? Do you really need to cover your eyes all the time,” Jessica continued telling Moses off, “And you should stand up straight, I’ve also noticed that you like to lean on things.”
Moses was starting to get a headache and was now regretting hiring Jessica as his assistant. A knock was heard at the door, “Come in,” Moses quickly yelled out.
Kevin walked inside and saw Jessica standing in front of Moses, “Hi… am I interrupting something?”
“No,” Moses jumped off the lounge; he suddenly had an idea in his head. A way to get rid of Jessica and her constant lecturing, “You know Jessica right.”
Kevin nodded, “Yes.”
“Great, from now on she’s going to be your secretary.”
Kevin was slightly confused, “I already have a secretary though.”
“I’ve got other plans for her,” Moses grabbed Jessica’s hand, “so from now she will work for you.” Moses pushed both of them out the door, “Ok, bye,” and shut the door behind them.
He sat on the lounge relieved that Jessica was gone, he totally didn’t expect Jessica to be like that all the time, it was as if she was his mother.
Kevin and Jessica walked downstairs to Kevin’s office, “Um… there’s not much for you to do now, so do you just want to photocopy some document?”
“What is that?” Jessica asked.
“Oh…” Kevin only just assumed Jessica hadn’t done office work before, “Just read these then,” he gave her a few files to read, “if you need me, I’ll be in my office.”
Jessica smiled, Kevin was exactly like the Ga Wing she knew. She knew that the Cheng family did well in raising their children.

*Ma Mansion, 3:06pm*
Bosco returned home from the police station. He stepped inside the house and saw Steven sitting on the lounge with his face all bruised. Bosco didn’t say anything but walked straight pass him towards the stairs.
“Why did you tell Dai Gor I was at the hotel?” Steven questioned as Bosco walked pass him.
Bosco stopped but he didn’t answer Steven. He took another step forward and begun walking up the stairs. Steven jumped up off his seat and grabbed onto Bosco’s shirt pulling him back down.
“Don’t just walk away when I’m talking to you.” Bosco kept very still as Steven kept on telling Bosco off, “Because of you Raymond Lam got off easy, if you didn’t tell Dai Gor then everything would of be good.”
“I had to tell him,” Bosco answered.
“Did I say you can answer?” Steven started poking at Bosco’s head, “Who are you to back chat to me? If it wasn’t for the fact that my father picked you from the street you would have been dead a long time ago.”
Bosco didn’t move and stood there glaring at Steven as he kept using his finger and poking at Bosco’s head. Steven was enjoying this moment, since he couldn’t get Raymond the only way to release his anger is through Bosco.
Steven could tell Bosco was slowly getting angry by the subtle fierce look to his face, “Don’t look at me like that,” with out any warning Steven slapped Bosco’s face. Bosco didn’t budge and kept the same look on his face, “I told you to stop looking at me like that,” Steven warned Bosco.
Bosco had enough he slapped Steven’s hand and turned around leaving the house. Steven smiled to himself, amused at the situation, he just loved the fact that he had someone to release his anger to.

*Pier, 3:24pm*
Bosco sped down the road in anger, the more he thought about Steven abusing him all the time the more furious he got. He pressed harder on the accelerator over taking the cars on the road. Bosco suddenly jammed on the breaks, finally coming to a stop. He got out of the car and walked towards the pier overlooking the sea.
“Ahhh!!!” Bosco shouted out towards the sea, releasing the anger within him. He hit his hand on the railing shouting out even louder, “Ahhh!!!!”
Bosco suddenly felt a hand touching his shoulder, he turned around to see Myolie standing behind him, “Is everything alright?”
Bosco smiled slightly and sat down on the floor leaning against the railing, he put his head in between his arms and took a deep breath. Myolie didn’t know why but she felt that he really needed someone to be with him. She sat down besides him and took out the phone accessory that Bosco dropped and handed it back to him, “You dropped this last time.”
Myolie took Bosco’s hand and put it on his hand. Bosco looked up at Myolie, for the first time he actually felt warmth that someone cared about him, “Thanks.”
“I haven’t actually formally introduced myself yet, I’m…”
“Myolie,” Bosco interrupted her, “I saw your name badge at the hotel.”
Myolie smiled and shook Bosco’s hand, she could tell he was really unhappy, “If you want to talk to anyone in the future, I’ll be glad to be that person.”
Bosco felt a tingle from the bottom of his heart, he kept holding onto Myolie’s hand, “Thankyou.”

*Grand Hotel, Lunchroom, 3:48pm*
Raymond was sitting in the lunchroom by himself; the blood from his lips had stopped bleeding. But the bruises on his face were still hurting and were still black. Raymond slightly touched his would, “Ouch!”
“Still hurting?” Charmaine asked.
Raymond looked up and saw Charmaine standing by the door, “What do you think?”
Charmaine walked towards the fridge and grabbed two eggs and put them in a boiling pan for them to boil. She sat on the opposite side of Raymond, “No one told you to fight back.”
“He punched me, I can’t just let him go. What kind of a man doesn’t fight back,” Raymond could barely speak properly with his wound on his lip. Raymond looked up at Charmaine, “Um… Thanks for standing up for me just then.”
“Did my ears deceive me? Did you just say thankyou?” Charmaine asked surprised those words would even come out of Raymond’s mouth.
“I say thankyou sometimes,” Raymond defended himself. Raymond touched his bruise again, “Ah…” and squealed a little.
Charmaine got up and took the boiling eggs out of the pan and cracked them open. She sat back at the table and grabbed a hanky and placed one of the hard-boiled eggs in the hanky wrapping it up, “Don’t move.”
Raymond backed away a little, “What are you doing?” he had no idea what she was doing and quite frankly he was a little scared.
“Haven’t you ever used this method when you get a bruise?” Charmaine pulled Raymond forward and slowly rubbed the egg on Raymond’s bruised cheek.
“Ah… It’s hot,” Raymond said trying to get away.
“Stop moving,” Charmaine pulled him back down and leaned in closer to Raymond. She was only inches away from his face, “If you didn’t fight with him then you wouldn’t be so hurt.”
Raymond could feeling Charmaine’s breathing on his neck, giving him a bit of the goose bumps. He turned his head slightly and glanced at her, she wasn’t that bad after all. Raymond began seeing a different side to Charmaine, she was actually quite caring and nice.
“Feeling better?” Frankie asked standing by the door.
Charmaine heard Frankie’s voice and accidentally pressed a little harder on Raymond’s cheek, “Ouch!”
“Sorry,” Charmaine apologised almost dropping the egg. She quickly stood up and uncontrollably she started blushing a little, “Hi.”
Frankie walked into the lunchroom, “Thanks for helping my brother.”
Charmaine smiled shyly and looked down on the ground shaking her head. Raymond looked weirdly at Charmaine, he had never seen her like so shy before.
Frankie looked coldly at Raymond still quite angry at him for fighting, “Louisa told me to remind you that the both of you will be heading out to camp next week.”
“What camp?” Raymond asked.
“It’s a tradition that all newly employed staff have to go out camping for a weekend to train up team work other stuff,” Frankie looked at Raymond’s bruises and shook his head, “I’ll see you at home.” Frankie turned to Charmaine and smiled, “Bye.”
“Bye…” Charmaine sat back down with the biggest smile on her face and continued rubbing the boiled egg on Raymond’s face.
Raymond smiled slightly knowing that something was up. He suddenly decided to make things happen not only for his brother but mainly for the benefit for himself.

*Westwood Apartment, 10:08pm*
Bernice walked back into her room after taking a shower and sat on her bed flipping through some cookbooks. A few minutes later she heard a knocking on the door.
“Come in.”
Charmaine walked in the door with a huge smile on her face, “Are you sleeping yet?” before Bernice could answer her, Charmaine had already jumped onto Bernice’s bed next to her. Bernice shifted to the side a little and lifted her blanket covering herself.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
