Raymond entered the Cheuk Mansion and immediately ran upstairs to Moses room. He opened the door, “Get up!”
Moses who was fast asleep could hear Raymond’s voice loud and clear next to his, he pulled his pillow over his head, “Why are you up so early?”
Raymond sat on Moses bed and glanced at his clock, he was already use to waking up at 4am every morning so waking up anything later than that was a sleep in for Raymond. Since he is already use to waking up early, he actually found it weird if he slept in till later, “It’s not that early. Get up,” Raymond pulled Moses blankets away.
Moses finally opened his eyes and saw a bandage over Raymond’s forehead, “What happened to your head?”
“This?” Raymond pointed at his head, “Nothing much, just an accident. Charmaine got hurt too, sprained her knee.”
Moses raised an eyebrow slightly confused at Raymond’s mention of Charmaine’s mention was actually not insulting her, “So why are here so early anyways? You do realise I need my beauty sleep.”
“I just got back from camp and the first person I came to find was you. You should honoured,” Raymond said.
“Honoured indeed,” Moses replied sarcastically as he yawned loudly falling back on his bed, “Stop bothering from my sleep.”
Raymond threw the blanket over Moses, “I’ll see you at the hotel then.”
Moses closed his eyes, “That guy is so pointless,” he mumbled to himself trying to fall back to sleep. Moses kept tossing and turning, once he has been woken he found it extremely difficult to fall back to sleep. Moses sat up on his bed, “Stupid Raymond…”

*On the Street, Moses car, 9:47am*
Moses drove along the street taking his time so he wouldn’t have to go back to the hotel. He stopped at the red light and looked around at his surroundings. From the corner of his eye he saw Bernice walking out of a supermarket.
The lights turned green and Moses drove and stopped in front of her. He wind down his window, “Still trying to cook? Killed anyone yet?”
Bernice bent down and saw Moses wearing his massive aviator glasses, “You’d be the first to know.”
Moses smiled and opened the passenger door for Bernice, “Get in, I’ll give you a lift back to the hotel.”
Bernice stepped back a little; she didn’t know why he was being so nice all of a sudden. Moses could tell Bernice was a little resistant, “I’m not going to kidnap you, just trying to be a gentleman.”
“Fine,” Bernice sat in the car and buckled her seat belt.
Moses shook his head and smiled as he drove towards the hotel. He started whistling a tune in the car. The whistling coming from Moses was starting to distract Bernice, “Stop whistling.”
Moses stopped and turned the stereo on listening to a CD. He started singing out loudly, not only was loud but very out of tune. Bernice couldn’t help but to switch the song off, “I can’ think will all this noise.”
“Why do you need to think?” Moses asked out of curiosity.
“I’ve been put in charge to cater for the annual ball,” Bernice said a little unwillingly.
Moses started laughing, “I can expect the hotel to be on hold for a few days after the annual ball then.”
“Why is that?”
“Because all my staff would have gone to hospital for food poisoning,” Moses continued to laugh.
Bernice slapped Moses on the arm, “Not funny,” she pulled on Moses shirt almost making him turn the steering wheel, “You have to help me. From now on what ever I cook you have to help me taste it.”
“I don’t think so, I’m the CEO, not some lab rat for you to taste on,” Moses rejected Bernice straight away.
“Come on,” Bernice kept pulling on Moses shirt making him lose control of the steering wheel, “Stop being so mean.”
Moses brushed Bernice’s hand away, “Fine, but if I get food poison or even the slightest stomach ache, I hold you responsible.”
“Deal,” Bernice held out her hand and shook it with Moses.

*Grand Hotel, 1:06pm*
Charmaine walked downstairs towards one of the staff cafeteria’s. She reached in her pocket and realised her wallet wasn’t there anymore, “Where is it?” She turned back around retracing her steps.
“Looking for this?” Raymond pulled out a wallet in front of her face.
Charmaine grabbed the wallet from Raymond, “I knew you were the one who hid my wallet.”
“That’s right, you know me too well,” Raymond laughed, “What’s for lunch?”
Charmaine shrugged her shoulders, “Nothing to eat.” The both of them walked along the cafeteria and grabbed a sandwich and sat down at the table eating.
Raymond could tell Charmaine didn’t have much an appetite eating what she had, “Hold on,” he jumped up and a few minutes later he came back with several bottles of drinks as well as a cup.
“Can you finish all those drinks?” Charmaine asked.
Raymond didn’t answer her and started pouring a little bit of each drink into the cup, “Done,” he pushed it in front of Charmaine, “Taste it.”
“Uhh… What is it?” Charmaine was hesitant to try Raymond’s weird combination of drinks.
“I guarantee you will like it,” Raymond insisted.
Charmaine grabbed the cup and took a gulp. The combination of drinks had formed a taste that was disgusting beyond description. The normal reflects of Charmaine’s taste buds forced her to spit out the drink, spraying it all over Raymond’s face.
Charmaine looked up at Raymond’s wet face and started laughing. Raymond glared at Charmaine as he wiped the residue off his face, “Thanks for that.”
“What is this? I thought you said it taste nice,” Charmaine gargled her mouth with some water.
“I never said it taste nice, I just thought of it just then,” Raymond said with a cheeky smile on his face.
Charmaine stood up and leaned forward to Raymond forcing him to have a drink. Raymond only took a sip and gelt himself gagging at the weird combo.
Frankie walked in the cafeteria and saw Raymond and Charmaine sitting together forcing each other to drink the disgusting combo, he walked up to them, “Hi.”
Charmaine suddenly stopped what she was doing and sat down changing into a totally different person, “Hi.”
Raymond saw his chance and jumped up, “I’m going to get something. Dai Gor why don’t you sit and chat with Charmaine,” Raymond forced Frankie to sit next to Charmaine and quickly ran off.
“Is your leg better now?” Frankie asked.
Charmaine nodded, “It’s much better now. Thanks.”
For the rest of the lunch break Charmaine and Frankie kept on chatting to each other, the more Charmaine chatted to Frankie, the more she admired him. The way he saw life, work and family made her admire him even more.
*Grand Hotel Office, 2:14pm*
Ron walked out of Kevin’s office, “Send me the list of invites when you’re done,” Ron told Kevin as he walked out of the door.
Jessica stood up and smiled at Ron. Ron nodded his head and smiled back, “Hi.”
The resemblance of Cheuk Hei and Ron were just so similar, Jessica felt so proud having a great, great grandson like Ron. She stood next to him and fixed his collar that was slightly tucked in, “Such a bright young man.”
Usually Ron was a little shy around females but he felt warmness, as if it was someone like his mother helping him, “Thanks,” Ron smiled, “I have to go to a meeting now. Nice meeting you.”
“Such a polite young man,” Jessica mumbled to herself as she watched Ron walked off. She suddenly jumped hearing a loud bang on her table.
“This is all wrong,” one of the staff shouted at Jessica, “Do you even know what you’re doing? If you don’t then don’t pretend you do.”
Jessica had never been yelled at in her life, she wasn’t going to let some peasant scream at her, it was an insult to her royalty. Before Jessica could defend herself and yell back at her colleague Kevin stepped outside.
“You don’t need to shout,” he said firmly, “If she doesn’t know how to do it then teach her.”
“But…”
Kevin grabbed the file off her, “I’ll do it for her. Go and do what you’re meant to be doing,” Kevin turned to Jessica, “I’ll finish this for you.”
“Sorry for the trouble,” Jessica felt kind of bad for messing up and making Kevin finish her work.
“Don’t worry about it. You’re new, it takes a while to get into the process,” Kevin patted Jessica on the shoulder.
Jessica drifted off back to her table and watched Kevin through his window, she leaned on her hand and stared at him, admiring him. She quickly snapped out of it, “Ah… What am I doing? What about Cheuk Hei? Can’t think of Kevin that way.” Jessica quickly grabbed a random file and started working distracting herself of thinking about Kevin.

*Ma Mansion, 7:03pm*
“What’s this?” Steven asked Joe as he picked up an invitation.
“Invitation to Grand Hotel’s annual ball,” Joe said as he took a sip of tea.
Steven threw the invitation back on the desk, “And you’re going?”
“Why wouldn’t I? I always go, I like to see how the competing hotel is going,” Joe put his tea down on the coffee table.
“I’m going too.”
“No,” Joe declined straight away, “I don’t want your stupid rivalry with Raymond to ruin everything.
Bosco walked through the front door with his hand bandaged up from smashing through Steven’s car window, “Dai Gor.”
Joe looked at Bosco’s hand, “What happened to your hand?”
Bosco shot a glare at Steven, “Nothing,” he said cooly
Joe knew it had something to do with Steven by the look on Bosco’s face, “Go wash up. Dinner is ready soon.”
“Why are you so nice to him?” Steven asked Joe.
Although Joe also disliked Bosco but kept his hatred inside of him because after all, Bosco was his brother, “Because he is family.”
Steven laughed, “You don’t think of him as family. You’re just scared of Bosco because he is a police.”
Joe gave Steven a subtle cold look and Steven immediately shut up. Steven leaned back on the lounge, since Joe wasn’t going to allow him to go to the Grand Hotel ball he decided to have a bit of fun himself.
