Jessica and Bernice sat on the couch; neither of them were talking to each other. The front door opened and Charmaine walked inside with Frankie. Bernice jumped up, “Mr. Lam…”
“Call me Frankie,” Frankie said, he turned to Charmaine, “I better get going, Raymond is waiting for me downstairs.”
“Ok,” Charmaine smiled sweetly as she watched him leave.
Frankie walked towards the elevator, he really didn’t get Raymond, he was so forceful in making him walk Charmaine to her apartment. Frankie didn’t think twice about Raymond trying to set them up but just thought it was Raymond being lazy.
Charmaine floated onto the couch, so happy as if she had won the lottery. Bernice sat really close to Charmaine, “So how are things going with Frankie?”
“Ok, I guess.” Charmaine answered.
“Are you guys dating?” Bernice question nosily.
Charmaine shrugged her shoulders, “I don’t know, there was nothing official. We just talked a few times.”
Jessica sat and listened to the conversation about Charmaine liking Frankie. The more she thought about it the more it didn’t make much sense, “Wait a minute, if you like him then in your time would that make him the same age as your father?” Jessica asked curiously without thinking.
Charmaine looked at Bernice who had a strange look to her face, “What?” Bernice asked confused with Jessica’s comment.
“She’s talking about… about some movie,” Charmaine pulled Jessica up and forced her into the room, “Grandma you can’t say things like that.”
“But think about it, that Frankie man would be like 60years old in your time,” Jessica said trying to clear things in Charmaine’s head.
“But are we going to be going back to our time? I don’t even know if it’s possible. I don’t even know how we got to 2007 in the first place,” Charmaine sat on her bed, “Right now, I’m just going to settle as if I was staying here forever, because I have a feeling we won’t be going back anytime soon.”
Jessica had the same thought in mind, “I feel the same.”
The both of them walked outside back into the living room where Myolie was now home with Bosco, “This is my boyfriend Bosco,” Myolie introduced to Charmaine and Jessica.
“Nice to meet you young man,” Jessica shook Bosco hand.
“Myolie’s told me a lot about you, Jessica right?” Bosco asked shaking her hand.
Jessica nodded, Bosco turned to Charmaine, “And you must be Charmaine?” he stuck his hand out to shake Charmaine’s.
Charmaine smiled and shook his hand, she looked carefully at Bosco, the more she looked at him the more familiar he looked, she knew that she had seen him somewhere before but just didn’t remember where. She suddenly pulled her hand away, “this isn’t right, Aunty Myolie is meant to be with Uncle Ron,” she thought to herself. Myolie being with Bosco would change a lot of things in the future.

*Cheuk Mansion, 10:30pm*
Moses had been in his room the whole night researching the Internet and browsing through cookbooks for Bernice.
Ron walked in his room and saw Moses concentrating at work and thought it was just strange, “What are you doing?”
Moses flipped through a few pages, “Just researching on cooking and stuff.”
Ron sat on Moses bed, “I know you’ve always had an interest in cooking but I’ve never seen you so serious at it.”
Moses spun around on his chair, “Cooking can be seen as an art or the basic necessity for living. You have to have both to make eating so great.”
Ron never thought these sorts of words would come out of Moses’s mouth, “I didn’t know you were that into cooking.”
“Why do you think I’m always so picky in my food. Different foods for different occasions,” Moses spun back around on his chair, “Don’t bother me. I need to concentrate.”
Ron walked out of Moses room back to his own and sat at the computer to finish some paperwork.

*Grand Hotel, Lobby, 2:01pm*
Moses walked into the hotel with a stack of papers for Bernice. He walked towards the elevator and saw Charmaine waiting next to a column. She was dressed in normal clothes ready to go home. Moses glanced at her and smiled as he approached her.
He leaned against the column next to her, “Hello,” he greeted charmingly.
Charmaine turned around and saw her father standing next to her, “Hey da… I mean hey.”
Moses didn’t know why but when he was near pretty chicks he had a need to flirt with them, “So… I heard from Raymond you hurt your leg,” he said as he leaned in closer.
“Yeh,” Charmaine suddenly felt that Moses was acting a little strange, “I’m better now though.”
Moses leaned in closer and put his arm around her; “If it still hurts I can have a look for you.”
Charmaine’s eyes bulged wide open, she couldn’t believe it, her dad was actually hitting on her, “No thank you.”
“You’re Raymond’s friend making you my friend too,” Moses leaned even closer to Charmaine.
At this time Raymond walked out of the elevator wearing normal clothes ready to take Charmaine home. He saw Moses hands all over Charmaine and ran up to him pulling him away, “Dude, what are you doing?”
“What?” Moses asked, he looked at how protective Raymond was over Charmaine, “Oh… sorry man didn’t realise that you like her.”
“What?” Raymond said in a high squeaky voice as he looked over at Charmaine who was watching them from a distance, “I don’t like her. She has a thing with my brother.”
“Are you sure you don’t like her?” Moses asked suspiciously.
“No,” Raymond said firmly.
“No, as in you don’t not like her?” Moses asked making Raymond confused.
Raymond thought about Moses sentence, “Yes.”
“So you do like her?” Moses laughed seeing Raymond’s confused face.
Raymond punched Moses on the arm, “Stop confusing me. Just leave her alone, she’s going out with my brother.” Raymond said thinking that Charmaine and Frankie were now dating.
He walked over to Charmaine, “Let’s go.”
“What were you and Moses talking about?” Charmaine asked.
“Nothing much…” Raymond answered, “My brother wants to take you out to dinner tonight. Dress nicely.”
*Grand Hotel, Lakeside Restaurant, 2:36pm*
Moses walked into the restaurant and went straight towards the kitchen. A waiter saw Moses and quickly greeted him, “Hello Mr. Cheuk, is there anything I can help you with?”
“Tell Bernice to come out,” Moses demanded.
The waiter ran into the kitchen and a few seconds later Bernie walked out of the kitchen taking her chefs hat off. They sat at a table and Moses handed her the stack of papers he was carrying around.
“Ok, I’ve done some research and I think these dishes would be great for the annual ball. But there is a complication, the dishes are hard to make, are you up for the challenge?” Moses asked as he flipped through showing Bernice.
Bernice smiled, “Am I up for a challenge? Course I am.”
“Great,” Moses clapped his hands together, “I’ll come to your house to try it then,” Moses paused for a while, “Actually, I might as well help you cook. You know, I do want to live after I eat your food.”
“Do you always have to insult me like that?” Bernice asked.
Moses had a grin on his face, “I thought you liked me insulting you.”
Bernice threw her hat at Moses as a sign of protest. She looked through papers and didn’t realise how much effort Moses actual put into researching.

*Jewel Restaurant, 7:34pm*
Frankie and Raymond were outside the restaurant, Raymond straightened Frankie’s jacket, “Looking good brother. Well I’m off now, have fun.”
“Aren’t you going to join us?” Frankie asked.
“Nope,” Raymond could see Charmaine waiting at a table in the restaurant, “She’s inside, go in…” Raymond pushed Frankie in the restaurant.
Frankie walked inside towards Charmaine, “Hi.”
“Hi,” Charmaine smiled.
Frankie sat down; the mood was slightly weird, “So how was work today?” Frankie asked trying to start a conversation to lighten up the mood.
“Work was good,” Charmaine replied in short, “How about you?”
“As usual,” Frankie answered, “I know I asked you before but is your leg better now?”
Charmaine really liked Frankie’s constant caring, “All better, I can run a marathon right now.”
Frankie laughed slightly, he looked around the restaurant filled with couples and started getting suspicious with Raymond’s plans, “Excuse me,” he got up and left the table, walking towards the hallway dialling Raymond’s number.
Raymond walked down the street delighted with his matchmaking, he felt a vibrating in his pocket and picked his phone up, “How’s the date?”
“What are you doing Raymond Lam?” Frankie questioned, “Did you set me up on a date? Come back to the restaurant now,” he demanded.
Raymond could tell Frankie was not pleased; he turned back around and ran back to the restaurant heading straight to the hall. Charmaine saw Raymond rush in the restaurant towards the back and thought it was strange that he was in such a hurry.
Raymond saw Frankie standing by a payphone, “What’s up?”
“Why did you set me up?” Frankie asked Raymond.
“What’s wrong with that?” Raymond asked confusingly not know Frankie doesn’t like Charmaine.
Charmaine looked at the time and it had been a few minutes since Raymond walked in, she was getting worried and walked towards the hall.
“I’m just trying to make things work between you and Charmaine,” Raymond explained.
“Why are trying to make things work between us? I don’t like her,” Frankie said firmly.
“This is awkward,” Raymond tapped his head, “Are you sure? Maybe just a little bit?”
Frankie took a deep breath, “I don’t like her at all, not even a little bit. She’s a nice girl but I just don’t like her.”
“Then why did you go out with her on a few dates,” Raymond asked wanting an explanation.
“It’s because of you, I didn’t even know what you were doing. Raymond I’m telling you for the last time, I don’t like Charmaine, don’t do those stupid set up things,” Frankie suddenly received a phone call, he walked pass Raymond and picked up the phone.
Raymond didn’t know what he was going to say to Charmaine now that he knows his brother doesn’t like her. As Frankie passed himself, to his surprise Raymond saw Charmaine standing opposite him.
