Steven kept his foot down on the accelerator charging in Raymond’s direction, “Ahhh!!!” he yelled loudly as anger and alcohol inside of him had taken over his rationality.
Raymond hadn’t even noticed the car charging in his direction as he kept walking and talking to Charmaine, “I’ll be there just for…”
Steven’s car was getting closer and closer, he threw his head back and laughed loudly knowing Raymond would be soon gone. He pressed down on the accelerator, flooring it.
A loud bang echoed throughout the street as another car, which was driving in the opposite direction to Steven suddenly collided with Steven’s car. Raymond jumped out of fright hearing the collision, he turned his head and watched Steven’s car roll twice on the road before coming to a stop.
Raymond was in shock to what had just happened, he recognised the numberplate on the car being Steven’s, “I’ll call you back,” he said to Charmaine, he hung up the phone and ran over to Steven’s car but before he reached the car, the exhaust pipe had suddenly lit on fire. And in a matter of seconds another loud explosion sound echoed the streets.
Raymond ducked for cover, as Steven’s car exploded right before his eyes. The flames flew high in the sky, lighting up the whole street. Bosco, who was on the opposite end of the street jumped out of his car and ran towards the exploded car, he saw Raymond on the ground and ran towards him.
“What happened?” Bosco shouted as he approached Raymond.
“I don’t know,” Raymond pointed at Steven’s car, which was now just slowly burning in flames, “I think that’s your brothers car…”
Bosco stood next to Raymond and watched as the flames burned through the car, besides the fact that there was nothing Bosco could do to save Steven but he was also reluctant even he he had a chance.
Raymond sat next to him watching the flames slowly calm down, although he hated Steven but he had never wanted Steven to die.

*Ma Mansion, 11:48pm*
Bosco opened the front door and walked inside just as Joe walked down the stairs, “Where’s Steven? Did he cause any more trouble?”
Bosco didn’t answer and shut the door behind him, he stood in front of Joe, “Dai Gor… Yi Gor was in…” he took a deep breath, “he was in a car accident, the car rolled over a few times then exploded.”
Joe stepped back almost falling to the ground, he was literally speechless, “Is he…”
Bosco knew exactly what Joe wanted to ask and nodded his head. Joe felt like collapsing to the ground as tears flowed from his eyes, “Steven…”
“Raymond and I tried to save him but…”
Joe’s eyes had turned to anger hearing Raymond was also at the scene, he pulled on Bosco’s collar, “Why was Raymond Lam there?”
“I don’t know… when I got there he was sitting on the ground near the explosion,” Bosco explained.
Joe let go of Bosco, Steven was now dead and the only explanation for his death was defiantly related to Raymond, “You are going to pay for this Raymond Lam…”

*Westwood Apartment, 1:06am*
The whole apartment was fast asleep, all having to wake up early for work that morning. Jessica rolled over her bed and was woken by a constant ringing of the doorbell, “What is that noise?”
The bell kept on ringing, and slowly Charmaine was woken up too, she rolled over her bed and glanced at the clock with her half closed eyes, “Who is it? Grandma, can you get that?”
“What?” Jessica couldn’t believe what she just heard, “Young lady, respect your elders, you go get the door.”
Charmaine rolled out of her bed and dawdled towards the front door passing Bernice and Myolie’s room who were also waken by the doorbell. Charmaine looked through the peephole and saw Raymond’s face. She opened the door still half asleep and with her vision blurry.
“What are you doing here so late?” she asked.
Raymond didn’t say a word and hugged her tightly in his arms, he wrapped his arms around her almost squashing her. Seeing the accident happen just made life so unpredictable, he really didn’t know whether their would be a second day to live or would life just end like how it ended with Steven just then.
Charmaine pulled away from Raymond and saw him clearly, his face was covered with black smoke and his clothes were slightly torn, “What happened?” Charmaine rubbed the smoke off his face.
“I just watched Steven Ma die in a car explosion,” Raymond said grabbing onto Charmaine’s hand from his face.
Myolie and Bernice ran into the living room, “What? How? When?” Bernice asked.
Raymond sat on the couch next to Charmaine, “Only a few hours ago, the car exploded right in front of my eyes. Bosco…”
Myolie panicked hearing Bosco’s name, “Was he in the car too? Is he ok?”
“Bosco wasn’t in the car with Steven,” Raymond assured Myolie.
“What exactly happened?” Bernice asked.
Jessica walked out of her room and stood by the hallway listening to the conversation. Raymond continued telling them what he saw, the more he said the more intense he felt. Not once throughout the whole conversation did he let go of Charmaine’s hand.
He held onto her hand tightly, “I don’t even know how it happened, I just saw another car coming from the other direction and hitting the drivers side of Steven’s car. Next thing I saw was his car rolling over twice landing flat on the roof. I wanted to save him, but before I knew it the car lit on fire and exploded…”
Charmaine placed her other hand on Raymond’s shoulder, she knew it would have been tough watching something like this occur. Jessica kept standing by the hallway listening intently. She knew the death of Steven would cause major problems in the not to distant future, if Ma Duk Chung’s descendents were anything like him then they would find a reason to blame someone then seek out for vengeance.

*Cheuk Mansion, 8:03am*
Moses was fast asleep but was suddenly woken by the constant banging on his door. He didn’t react to the loud noises and continued to sleep. Ron opened the door and ran inside holding a newspaper.
“Dai Gor,” Ron kept shaking Moses, “get up…
“Ron, why are you waking me up?” Moses used grabbed his blanket and pulled it over his head.
Ron pulled Moses blanket off his head, and shoved the newspaper in front of his face, “Dai Gor… Steven Ma is dead…”
Moses jumped up and grabbed the paper off Ron, he quickly scanned through the article, “Car accident… explosion…” Moses looked at the pictures taken at the scene and saw a small blurry picture of Raymond, “Is that Raymond?”
Ron took a closer look, “I think it is…”
Moses jumped up from his bed and ran to the bathroom, in a matter of minutes he was fully dressed, “We should go back to the hotel,” Moses suggested.
“Are you worried about Joe?” Ron asked following Moses downstairs.
“I don’t know, but I have a bad feeling about this. If Joe knows that Ray was there he would probably think that Ray had something to do with it,” Moses unlocked his car and jumped in the drivers seat.
Ron jumped in the passenger’s side, “But how can Joe just assuming this has something to do with Ray just because he was at the scene?”
Moses started the engine and drive out the gates, he turned to Ron, “Because he is Joe Ma…”

*Ma Mansion, 9:14am*
The housekeeper opened the door and let Myolie inside the house. Bosco walked downstairs and saw Myolie standing near the front door waiting, “Myolie? What are you doing here?”
Although Raymond had already told her that Bosco was fine but she had to confirm it for herself. She ran up to him and hugged him, “I’m so glad your ok.”
“I’m alright,” Bosco sat her down on the lounge.
Myolie held onto Bosco’s hand, “I’m sorry about your brother…”
Bosco shook his head, “There was nothing that could be done. By the time I got there, the car had already exploded and then I saw Raymond sitting on the ground…”
Joe stood at the top of the stairs listening to every word Bosco was saying about Raymond being at the scene. The suspicion in Joe grew, he knew Steven’s death wasn’t as easy as a car accident and his mind was set on holding Raymond to be responsible for his death, “Raymond Lam… You killed my brother… I promise myself that you will pay for this.”

well.. Steven is now dead.. is his death so simple.. how would Joe revenge..
