Chapter 33

Restriction

*Cemetery, 11:18am*

Joe continued walking out of the cemetery laughing loudly at Frankie’s death. Bosco didn’t say a word, he stepped forward wanting to place a rose in front of Frankie’s grave but was blocked by Moses stepping in front of him.

“We don’t need any sympathy from the Ma family,” Moses said on behalf of Raymond.

“I know that my Dai Gor may have stepped on the line but I’m just trying to do the right thing,” Bosco explained.

“The right thing for you to do is leave,” Moses replied coldly.

Bosco didn’t move and stared at Moses with a subtly fierce look in his eyes. Myolie quickly stepped forward and pulled Bosco aside, “I think you better leave,” she muttered quietly.

Again, Bosco didn’t say anything and left following behind Joe. He ran, catching up to Joe, “Dai Gor…” he called out.

Joe stopped laughing and turned around, “What took you so long?”

“I was just talking to Myolie,” Bosco lied slightly.

“I really don’t want you seeing that girl,” Joe advised, in the past he had never disapproved of Bosco and Myolie as a couple but ever since Steven’s death he hated everyone that had any slight association with the Lam or Cheuk family.

“Why?” Bosco asked quiet confused.

“Because she works for the Lam and Cheuk family,” Joe said giving a non-legitimate excuse.

Bosco couldn’t see how Myolie working for the Lam and Cheuk family would be of any influence to them dating, “What if I insist on dating her?”

Joe glared at Bosco with a very serious look, “Then I’ll take away your position in the hotel,” he threatened.

Bosco didn’t have much of a reaction as he watch Joe walk away, the decision he had to make was difficult, although he loved Myolie but he didn’t know whether he could give up his position and status for her.

*Grand Hotel, 4:14pm*

Kevin and Jessica had rushed back to the hotel after attending the funeral, although it was a sad moment for everyone but they knew they had to keep the hotel running. Kevin walked into his office and saw a pile of file on his desk.

“What this?” Kevin asked Jessica as he flipped through the files.

“I think this was what Frankie was working on before he… before he passed away,” Jessica assumed.

Kevin had never been involved with the project Frankie was doing so he had no idea what it was about or where it was leading, he sat on his chair and took his tie off. He glance slightly at the time, “Ok,” he clapped his hands together, “Jessica, I need you to stay back tonight and looked through these files with me, can you do that?” Kevin didn’t even give Jessica time to answer, “Great then, we’ll start straight away.”

Hours passed by as Kevin and Jessica were reading and marking down notes to get themselves up to date with what Frankie had completed. Every so often Jessica would peek at Kevin to see what he was doing; she had never seen such a hard working man before. The hotel had nothing to do with him yet he worked harder then anyone else.

Kevin was so immersed in his readings, he wasn’t even aware that Jessica was looking at him. He looked up from his documents for a split second and caught Jessica’s staring, he continued reading his documents with a slight smile on his face, “How much have you done?”

“Huh?” Jessica was caught off guard with the question, she quickly stopped staring and pretended to read, “Um… a bit.”

Kevin shook his head and smiled, he glanced at his watch, ”Wow, it’s so late, think we should have some dinner,” he jumped up from his chair, “I’ll buy some stuff, you wait here for me. Ok?”

“Um… ok,” Jessica replied as she continued to pretend to read.

Jessica kept watching Kevin as he walked out of the room, she suddenly had a feeling inside of her which she hadn’t felt in a long time. She felt so confused about Kevin, she really didn’t know whether it was because he looked like Ga Wing that she felt this way or was the feelings genuinely for Kevin, but even if she had those feelings the thought of Cheuk Hei was still in the back of her mind.

*Lam Mansion, 9:01pm*

Bernice and Charmaine were in the kitchen making tea after a long day. Since Bernice was now pregnant, a slight bump could be seen, “Is Raymond feeling any better?” she asked as she poured the tea into cups.

“I think he is a little, but I’m planning to stay with him for a while,” Charmaine quickly helped Bernice and took the kettle out of her hand, “he’s still not use to the empty house.”

Moses and Raymond sat in the lounge room, “You feeling better man?” Moses asked concerned about Raymond.

Raymond smiled slightly, “A little better,” he looked around his house and sighed, “but I don’t know how I’m going to get use to not having Dai Gor around.”

Moses patted Raymond on the back, “Don’t think too much about it…” Moses looked over to the kitchen and saw Bernice and Charmaine walking out both carrying two cups of tea. Moses quickly jumped up to his feet and ran over to Bernice, “What do you think you’re doing?”

Bernice was slightly confused at how obvious her actions were, “I’m carrying tea cups…”

Moses grabbed the two cups off of Bernice, “Gees, you’re pregnant, you shouldn’t be carrying such heavy things. From now on you cannot carry anything.”

“What about my handbag?” Bernice asked as she sat on the lounge.

“No! Not allowed to carry anything,” Moses scolded Bernice a little.

Bernice leaned forward a little reaching towards the table but Moses saw and scolded her again, “What do you think you are doing?”

“I’m just trying to get my tea,” Bernice said quite innocently.

Moses leaned forward and grabbed the cup for her, “I’ll do it for you, gees, what did I say about doing heavy activities?”

“Wow Moses, really protective over Bernice,” Raymond commented.

Moses smiled cheekily, “That’s right,” he glanced at his watch, “It’s so late, time for bed.”

“What? It’s not even 10pm,” Bernice complained as Moses held her up.

“I’ve read many books about pregnancy and they all say you have to have enough rest, it’s good for you and the baby,” Moses grabbed Bernice’s handbag, “No complaining. See you guys later,” Moses held onto Bernice and walked out the door.

Raymond sat back down quietly on the lounge after Moses and Bernice left, “Um… are you going home? I’ll drop you off.”

Charmaine knew Raymond didn’t want to stay in his house by himself, he still wasn’t use to the emptiness and the fact that he was only one left in the house, “I’m thinking of staying over, is that alright?”

Raymond held onto Charmaine’s hand, he knew that she just wanted to comfort him so he wouldn’t feel so alone, “Ok, I’ll get you some clothes to change into and a towel and toothbrush.”

The both got up and walked upstairs into Raymond’s room, he looked through his closet and pulled out his pyjamas and gave it to Charmaine. She looked at his clothes weirdly, “Um… Is this all you have?”

“I only have this,” Raymond closed his closet door, “I don’t wear female clothes,” he pulled Charmaine into the bathroom, “Just get changed, I promise the clothes are clean.”

Charmaine quickly got changed and walked back outside in Raymond’s pyjamas that were quite large in size and also too long for her. Raymond seriously thought she looked so cute in the oversized pyjamas, “I guess my clothes are too big for you.”

“You think?” Charmaine lifted her hands with the sleeve covering her hands.

Raymond stepped forward and held onto Charmaine’s hands and looked deeply in her eyes, “Thankyou.”

“What for?”

Raymond pulled Charmaine in and embraced her, “Thanks for just being here with me, I know your staying here with me so I won’t feel so lonely,” he hugged her tighter in his arms, “Thankyou.”

Charmaine smiled and leaned her head with Raymond’s, “Well it’s only because I love you so your problems are also my problems.”

Raymond looked into Charmaine’s eyes, hearing these words made him feel so happy, he knew that he had finally met the woman who he wants to spend the rest of his life with. He leaned forward and kissed Charmaine softly on the lips. Raymond gazed at Charmaine; he brushed his hands softly on her cheek and smiled sweetly, “You’re the one…”

Charmaine’s eyes started to water hearing Raymond say that, she leaned forward and kissed him passionately knowing that Raymond was the one for her too. But her only concern was whether she would be staying in the present time or that one day she would just disappear and travel back to future where she belonged.

*Outside a Shopping Centre, 8:08am*

Tavia stood outside the shopping centre trying to find a taxi to take her back to the hotel but luck wasn’t on her side. Every taxi that drove passed either had someone in it or that there was a no hire sign placed on it. She looked at her watch hoping that she could get a taxi soon.

A few seconds later a car pulled up beside Tavia and winded the windows down, “Tavia!” Bosco shouted out taking his sunglasses off.

Tavia bent down, “Hi.”

Bosco leaned towards the passenger side and opened the door, “Get in, I’ll give you a lift.”

“Thanks,” Tavia sat inside Bosco’s car as he began to drive off, “Are you sure its ok? Isn’t your hotel at the opposite side which means that you will be going back wards.”

Bosco smiled and kept driving, “It’s alright.”

“Well, thanks again,” Tavia sneezed loudly feeling the cold air through the air-conditioning.

Bosco quickly raised the temperature and shifted the vents away from Tavia, “Still cold?” he reached a red light and grabbed his jacket from the backseat and gave it to Tavia, “wear this if your cold and if you don’t mind my stinky jacket,” he joked.

Tavia sneezed again; she didn’t even know why she kept sneezing. Bosco reached in pocket and grabbed a tissue, “Here.”

“Thanks,” Tavia thanked Bosco again.

“That’s like the fourth time you said thankyou,” he laughed as he started driving again.

Tavia didn’t know how to respond, she glanced slightly at Bosco, he seemed like such a nice and caring man. A few minutes later Bosco arrived outside Grand Hotel, “There you go…”

Tavia got out of the car, “Thanks again.”

Bosco waved goodbye, “Take care, go see a doctor later ok?”

Tavia nodded her head and watched as Bosco drove off. She walked back into the hotel towards the front desk not realising that she was still wearing Bosco’s jacket.

“Hey, you're back,” Myolie greeted as she walked behind the counter, she looked up at Tavia and noticed the jacket she was wearing, she knew it looked familiar but just couldn’t figure out where she had seen it.

Tavia smiled, “Yeh, just in time,” she put her bag down and placed her name badge on her uniform.

Myolie suddenly clicked, “Is that Bosco’s jacket?”

Thanks for reading!!! and the comments.. the input u guys give is great!!

well well, so now Joe is trying to stop Bosco and Myolie.. so will he give up his career to be with Myolie.. and slowly Tavia is coming into the picture with Bosco...

Everything seems to be sailing smooth for Bernice and Moses despite the fact that he's a little too over protective of her.. and Ray and Charmaine also seem to be going great with the minor problem of if she will be able to to actually stay in the present time.. same goes with Jessica..
