Kevin shifted backwards as he held onto the photo, “Don’t come near me…”
Jessica had no idea what was going on, “What’s the matter?”
Kevin took a quick glance at the photo again; the resemblance of Jessica the lady in the photo was exact to the point that even twins would look different, “Who are you?”
“What do you mean?” Jessica took a step forward, “I’m Jessica, are you not feeling well?”
Kevin stepped back again away from Jessica, “Don’t come near me!”
“Why?” Jessica took another step forward, “tell me what’s wrong.”
Kevin held up the photo he was holding, “Explain to me why you look exactly the same as this person in the photo.”
Jessica moved closer and looked at the photo, “Where did you get this photo from?”
“Answer me first,” Kevin took the photo back.
“I… I can’t tell you,” Jessica said still trying to hide her real identity.
Kevin shook his head, “What’s the big secret? What are you hiding?”
Jessica didn’t know why she couldn’t even come up with a single lie, she found it so hard to think let alone lie at this point, “If I tell you who I am, you can’t make a huge deal out of it and go all crazy, ok?”
“I’ll think about my reaction after you tell me,” Kevin kept moving backwards.
Jessica took a deep breath, “My real name is Hsuan Huan, I’m a royal descendent, I have a husband named Cheuk Hei.”
“You’re married?” Kevin was shocked to hear such a thing, he couldn’t believe that he fell in love with someone who was married, “Why didn’t you tell me you are married?”
“It’s not that simple…” Jessica began to say.
Kevin suddenly found the name Cheuk Hei somewhat familiar, “You said that your husbands name is Cheuk Hei. Isn’t that the same last name as Moses and Ron?”
“Yes it is, Cheuk Hei is Moses and Ron’s great, great grandfather which makes me their great, great grandmother,” Jessica explained hoping the Kevin would understand.
“What? How can that be?” Kevin was totally confused, none of this was making any sense to him, “How can you be…”
“I don’t know, by default Charmaine and I both travelled to this period.”
Kevin was so puzzled hearing all of this, “Wait a minute, Charmaine is also from the Qing period?”
Jessica shook her head, “Charmaine is from the future, she’s in fact Moses and Bernice’s daughter.”
“What? This is just too much information,” Kevin didn’t know whether to believe what Jessica was saying was true or not, “How do I know your telling the truth?”
Jessica pointed at a painting on the wall, “Behind that painting there is a secret cupboard that Ga Wing built into the wall, if I’m not mistaken and if Ga Wing hasn’t changed his habit, inside would be his dairy.”
Kevin walked over the painting and lifted it up, to his surprise there actually was a secret cupboard built inside the walls, he opened the cupboard and found a pile of books, “How do you know all of this?”
“That’s because I painted that painting and gave it to Ga Wing before I married Cheuk Hei. Ever since that day he would recount his thoughts and actions of everyday and write them down,” Jessica sighed as she recalled the situation, “he never told me about this, if it wasn’t until I saw him place the books behind the painting, I may have never found out.”
Kevin took the books out and walked out of the study, Jessica wanted to follow, “Don’t… Let me get this straight and sort things out on my own.”
Jessica knew that this was just too much for Kevin to handle but besides for the truth, she really didn’t know what to tell him.

*On the Street, 7:21pm*
Myolie and Ron walked along the street, both not saying a word to each other. Ron glanced over at Myolie, but she didn’t have much of a reaction. He really couldn’t tell what she was thinking and looked back to the front. Myolie glanced sideways at Ron, he also didn’t have much of a reaction. Ever since she found out about Ron liking her, deep inside she wanted him to make a move but he hadn’t done anything.
Ron glanced over at Myolie again and saw her looking at him, they both quickly looked away with a slight shy smile on their face.
“Um…” Myolie and Ron both said together, “you first…” the both said again in sync.
“Um…” Ron began to say, “Do you…” he scratched his head trying to find the right words, “would you like to…”
Myolie stopped walking, she stared at Ron waiting for him to spill out his words, “Yes…”
“What?” Ron wasn’t sure Myolie was saying yes to, “Are you saying that you would like to…”
Myolie smiled shyly, “I would love to…”
Ron smiled in relief, he kept on walking then stopped again, “You’re saying yes to go out with me right?” he asked to clarify.
“Yes,” Myolie repeated.
“Oh… just had to ask in case I made a mistake,” Ron laughed awkwardly, he felt so stupid and wasn’t really sure of what to do next, “Um… does that mean I can hold your hand?”
Myolie laughed at Ron’s confusion, “I guess so…”
Ron’s hands were practically shaking as he reached over and held Myolie hand.
“Am I that scary?” Myolie joked.
Ron wiped the sweat off his forehead, “No… I don’t know why I’m shaking.”
Myolie and Ron walked down the street hand in hand; Myolie suddenly came to a stop as she saw Bosco and Tavia walking from the opposite direction.
Bosco stopped with a cocky sly look, “Hi…”
Ron looked over at Tavia, he walked over to her and pulled her to the side, “Tavia, why are you still with him?”
“Why can’t I be with Bosco? You’re with Myolie now,” Tavia whispered not wanting Bosco to hear what they were saying.
“What happened to you not wanting to be the third party?” Ron whispered.
“But their not together anymore,” Tavia lowered her voice a little more.
Ron shook his head, “What happened to you? Look just trust me Bosco’s not a good guy, you don’t even know him properly.”
Tavia flung Ron’s hand away, “And you do? Ron I know you care about me but I really like him and he really likes me too.”
Bosco stood next to Myolie smiling at her, “So… how are thing with Ron?”
“Bosco, I’m warning you, don’t do anything to hurt Tavia,” since Myolie found out that Bosco used Tavia to get rid of her, she had felt so worried for Tavia.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Bosco smiled cunningly, “I love Tavia…” he said in a somewhat fake tone.
Tavia walked back to Bosco and held his hand, “Ron, I know what I’m doing,” she turned to Bosco, “Let’s go.”
Bosco eyed Ron as he walked off. Ron didn’t know why but he had a bad feeling about this, he was afraid that Tavia would get hurt one day. Although he cared but at this point there was nothing he could do.

*Grand Hotel General Managers Office, 11:12am*
Ever since Raymond thought Charmaine wanted to have kids he had suddenly gone on a baby craze. The more he thought about having kids with Charmaine the more hyped up he would get. He leaned back on his chair while he flipped through a baby name book.
“Oscar… sounds like a dogs name,” Raymond mumbled to himself as he turned the page, “What if we have a girl first,” Raymond turned to the girl section of the book, “Isabella… nah… Mandy… that sounds alright,” Raymond grabbed a highlighter and marked down the name.
The phone started ringing, Raymond put down the book on his desk and picked the phone up, “Hello, Raymond Lam… oh… I’ll be right down,” Raymond jumped up from his seat and walked outside. He looked at Charmaine’s desk but it was empty, “Where’s Charmaine?” he asked the other staff.
“Haven’t seen her all morning,” one of the staff informed Raymond.
“Ok,” Raymond walked out of the office into the hallway, not realising that Charmaine had actually been avoiding him ever since she thought he wanted to many babies.
Charmaine stood in the corner of the hallway and watched Raymond leave the floor, “He’s gone,” Charmaine mumbled to herself as she walked back inside the office. She sat back at her desk and began working; she was so immersed into her work she didn’t even realise that Raymond was standing right behind her.
“Can I see you in my office Charmaine?” Raymond said in a serious tone.
Charmaine jumped up spilling her coffee not expecting Raymond to be there. Raymond quickly grabbed a tissue and wiped her desk, “Watch out, I’ll do it…” he wiped her desk clean and stood back up, “Charmaine, my room please.”
Raymond followed Charmaine into his office and shut the door behind them. Charmaine browsed around the room and saw the baby name book sitting on Raymond’s desk, “I need to do something…” she turned around wanting to get out of his office but Raymond stopped her.
He pulled on her arm, “I need to talk to you,” he sat her down on his chair and grabbed the baby book, “I know we haven’t planned anything yet but I’ve picked out a few names for our kids.”
“What kids?” Charmaine felt uncomfortable with all this baby talk, she didn’t even know where or why he suddenly had such a baby fever, “I’m really busy…” she tried getting up again.
It was only at this time Raymond realised that Charmaine had been acting weird and avoiding him, “What’s wrong? Why are you avoiding me all of a sudden?”
Charmaine twiddled her thumbs and looked down at her lap, “I’m not avoiding you.”
Raymond held onto her hand stopping her from fidgeting, “Something is bothering you, tell me what it is? Did I do something?”
Charmaine took a deep breath and grabbed the baby name book off Raymond’s desk, “This is what’s wrong,” she shoved the book in his face, “Why the sudden baby fever?”
“But…” Raymond started to say but Charmaine didn’t stop and continued talking.
“Why have you suddenly gone all baby crazy, picking out clothes, talking to strangers about our unborn and unplanned kids, picking out baby names,” Charmaine pointed at the book, she didn’t know why but she was beginning to feel angry and frustrated, “You didn’t even discuss this with me, and not only that, shouldn’t we get married first or something before having kids.”
“Shhh…” Raymond held his finger up at her lips stopping her from chattering. Charmaine stopped talking and looked at Raymond. He knelt down in front of her, “I’m sorry if I scared you but I thought that what you wanted. Moses told me you were obsessed with Bernice’s unborn child and he said you also wanted one for yourself. At first I was a little scared but I thought about it and I really do want to start a family with you.”
Charmaine was speechless; she never knew that was the reason why Raymond had suddenly gone all baby crazy, “Sorry, I guess I overreacted a little. I just don’t know why I got all scared. But I will admit that I do want to start a family with you too.”
Raymond smiled and kissed Charmaine’s hand, “So… I heard just then from all your chattering about getting married, are you implying that you want to marry me?” Raymond asked cheekily.
Charmaine looked away as she started going red, “I don’t know what you’re talking about… I’m going to get back to work,” she got up and quickly ran back outside.
Raymond sat back on his chair and pulled out a ring from his drawer. He smiled to himself and placed the ring back in his drawer.

*Cheng’s Ancestral Home, 7:00pm*
Kevin had been locked in his room trying to figure out what exactly was going on. He still couldn’t believe that Jessica and Charmaine actually time travelled to this year. He took a large gulp of water to calm himself down. Kevin began flipping though his great, great grandfathers diary. Kevin flipped the first page and began reading:
‘Today is a sunny day, but even though it is sunny, my heart is filled with coldness. Watching Hsuan Huan marry another man feels like someone has just grabbed a sword and stabbed it into my heart. Although it hurts but at least I know she is marrying a good man. I can blame no one but only blame myself for not being royal.’
Kevin skipped a few more pages and read on, ‘I don’t know whether our fate has ended or not, I thought I would never see Hsuan Huan again until the Emperor relocated me to work for General Cheuk Hei. It had been a few years since I last saw her; she hadn’t changed a bit. I saw the way General Cheuk Hei treated her and I could tell that this was the happy life she had deserved.’
Kevin placed the book on the table and sat with his hands in his face, “He loves her, my great, great grandfather loves her,” Kevin slapped his forehead, “I fell for someone who my great, great grandfather also fell for.” Kevin picked up another book and turned to the first page:
‘The night was dark, it had been raining and storming non-stop. General Cheuk Hei and I tried our hardest to save her but in the end we couldn’t. I watched her slip through our hands falling down the cliff side. We spent days searching for a body but couldn’t find any trace of her. I have no other wish but to pray to the gods that she had been saved and is in a safe place.’
Kevin tapped his finger on the table and kept reading Ga Wing’s dairy entry, ‘Finally we found her! The persistence of Cheuk Hei and I was rewarding. Although we found her but there seemed to be something different about Hsuan Huan. Not only did her hair and clothing changed but her mannerism had also changed. She seemed so different. But that doesn’t matter, she’s safe.’
Kevin put the book down just as Jessica walked pass his room, he looked up at her with a saddened look to his face, “You’re going to be going back…”
