Raymond couldn’t believe what Charmaine had just done. He couldn’t believe that Charmaine pulled her hand away from him, “What’s wrong?” Raymond asked pulling her back.
“Nothing,” Charmaine replied avoiding Raymond’s eyes.
“Something isn’t right, can you please just tell me,” Raymond was eager to know why she was acting strange.
“Ray, I can’t… not now, but I will when the time is right, you have to trust me,” Charmaine brushed Raymond’s hand away and sat in his car with her eyes almost tearing.
Raymond knew he had to trust Charmaine and he did. He knew that if Charmaine thought it was in his best interest to not know yet then he respects that. Raymond jumped in the car, “So where do you want to go now?”
Charmaine shrugged her shoulders, “I’m a little hungry.”
Raymond smiled, “Done! We’ll eat then.”

*Grand Hotel, 1:30pm*
For the past couple of days Kevin spent his lunchtime in his office. The more time he had the better to figure out how he was going to send Charmaine and Jessica back.
Jessica knocked on his door and walked inside with a sandwich, “Thought you’d like to eat something.”
“Huh?” Kevin looked up and grabbed the sandwich, “Thanks,” and continued to look through his books and map out a diagram.
Jessica stood in front of him and watched Kevin, seeing him work so hard to find a way to send her back really made her question him, “Do you really want me to go back to the past?”
Kevin stopped what he was doing, he had asked himself the same question over and over again and each time he had come up with the same answer. He placed his pen on the table and looked up at Jessica, “No, I don’t want you to go back but what choice do I have? If you don’t go back then the whole Cheuk line will be wiped.”
“I know going back is the right thing to do but I just wanted to hear an answer from you whether you want me to go back or not,” the look on Jessica’s face gave it away that she was hesitant about going back because of Kevin.
“It’s for the best,” Kevin stood up and stood in front of Jessica, he reached out and held her hand, “Helping you go back to the past is the least I can do for you now.”
Jessica smiled, “Um… have you come up with anything?”
Kevin showed Jessica a few things he had worked out, “See this,” Kevin pointed to his drawings, “This was what I drew the other day at the hospital, I realised that we do not have an exact date of when you can go back. The only thing we know is that it will be during an eclipse. I calculated the orbits of the Earth, the sun and the moon to predict if the date will be correct.”
Jessica was totally confused, being a person from the Qing period, the idea of space was beyond her knowledge, “Yeh… I’ll just let you work on that yourself.”
Kevin laughed a little, “Fine…”

*On the Street, 1:48pm*
Ever since Bosco’s threat of violence against Tavia, she had avoided all phone calls from Ron. She was not only afraid for Ron and herself for getting hurt but she really didn’t want Bosco to be upset. She walked down the street after having lunch with Bosco.
“Tavia!”
Tavia heard a familiar voice calling out to her, she turned around and saw Ron and Myolie walking along the street towards her. Tavia began to panic, she knew that somehow Bosco would be watching or at least have someone following her. She quickly turned away and walked in the opposite direction as fast as she could. Ron wasn’t sure what was going on but he ran after Tavia and stopped her from running.
“Hey,” Ron pulled her back, “Didn’t you see me?”
“Um… no,” Tavia lied.
“Well, did you want to grab a drink with me and Myolie?” Ron asked.
“No thanks,” Tavia tried to end the conversation as fast as she could in case Bosco could somehow see, “Yeh, I have to go now.”
Tavia turned around to leave but Ron grabbed onto her arm and pulled her back, “Ouch!” Tavia squealed a little feeling the pain of her bruise.
“What is it?” Myolie asked as she approached Ron and Tavia.
“Nothing,” Tavia quickly her arm back and covered it with her bag.
Ron knew it wasn’t nothing, she grabbed her arm and lifted up her sleeve, “What happened here?” Ron asked seeing a huge purple mark.
Tavia pulled her sleeve back down again, “It’s nothing ok?”
“Tavia, you have to tell us what’s wrong. A bruise like that is not nothing especially the shape of it,” Myolie said concerned.
“It’s Bosco isn’t it?” Ron clenched his fist, “Can’t believe he’s treating you like that!” the only things Ron really cared for were his family and friends, especially Tavia. He didn’t say another word and stormed off down the street.

*Hotel Regal, 2:18pm*
Bosco sat in his office talking on the phone, “So she bumped into Ron and Myolie?”
“That’s right.”
“Did they chat for long?” Bosco asked as he spun around on his chair to face the front.
“For a while.”
Bosco took a deep breath, even a while was too long in Bosco’s eyes. Suddenly his door slammed open and Ron rushed inside and stood in front of Bosco’s desk.
“Mr. Wong, I told him…” Bosco secretary began to say.
“it’s ok,” Bosco flagged his secretary to leave the room and continued to talk on the phone, “That’s all for now,” and hung up. He stood up and walked in front of Ron.
Ron didn’t think twice took a swung punching Bosco’s face. Bosco saw this punch coming but he didn’t even bother to block it.
“What the hell is wrong with you!” Ron shouted, “How can you treat her like this?”
Bosco wiped the blood off his mouth, “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he replied innocently trying to play dumb.
Ron just hated the look on Bosco’s face he took another swing at him but this time Bosco blocked his punch, “I wouldn’t do that a second time if I were you.” Bosco pushed Ron’s hand away and had a sly grin on his face.
“What the hell are you abusing her for?” Ron asked still extremely angry at Bosco.
Bosco stepped closer to Ron, he leaned forward close to his year, “It’s because of you. I want you to see her suffer in pain.”
Ron was steaming with rage hearing those words come out of Bosco’s mouth, he pushed Bosco away and was about to take another swing but Tavia and Myolie had just arrived through the door.
“Ron!” Tavia shouted as she ran and stood in front Bosco blocking him from Ron, “Please don’t do that.”
“Tavia! Why are you still protecting him?” Ron just couldn’t see how Tavia could be with someone who didn’t treat her right.
“Bosco Wong what are you doing? How can you treat her in that way?” Myolie question very disappointed in the way Bosco had turned out to be.
Bosco didn’t answer any of their questions and kept standing behind Tavia.
“Please just leave,” Tavia pulled onto Ron and Myolie’s arm leading them outside. She didn’t say anything further and shut the door to Bosco’s office.
Bosco sat on the lounge, “What did I say about seeing those two?”
“I didn’t see them on purpose,” Tavia said as she started to get a little scared, “I just bumped into them.”
Bosco stood up, he eyes were cold as ever, “I can’t guarantee I won’t do anything if I see you with Ron again,” Bosco warned as he held onto Tavia, “The only way for him to be safe is to cut off all contact with you.”

*Cheng Resident, 7:43pm*
Kevin walked into his house and threw his stuff on the coffee table and collapsed on the ground. He was so tired not only from doing hotel work but also from helping Jessica.
A few minutes after Kevin arrived home, Tavia stepped through the doors. She didn’t say a word and wondered straight into her room. Kevin jumped up and followed, he knock on her door and walked inside.
“Hey, are you hungry?” Kevin asked.
Tavia shook her head, “I already ate.”
Kevin sat on Tavia’s bed, “haven’t had a chance to ask you how are things with Bosco?”
“Things are going well,” Tavia lied.
“That’s good then,” Kevin stood back up, “Well if you want anything to eat just tell me,” Kevin patted Tavia on the shoulder and walked out of the room. He suddenly stopped, “Forgot to ask you, how come I haven’t seen you hanging around with Ron these days?”
Tavia obviously couldn’t tell Kevin the real reason, “Just been a little busy.”
“Ok,” Kevin just thought it’s because she has a boyfriend now so obviously she would put him first.
Tavia shut the door after Kevin left the room, the feud between her best friend and the man she loves was just driving her insane. On one hand she didn’t want to end her friendship with Ron but on the other hand she didn’t want to lose the man she loves. Tavia took out a pen and two pieces of paper, addressing them to Bosco and Ron. A few minutes later she finished writing the letters and sealed them both.
Tavia walked downstairs and saw Kevin cooking, “I’m going out…”
“Where you going?” Kevin asked taking his apron off.
“Just out,” Tavia gave Kevin a hug before she left, “Bye, Dai gor.”
Kevin laughed a little, “Wow, a bit of a emotional goodbye, I’ll be seeing you later.”
Tavia forced a smile and left the house heading towards Ron and Bosco’s home.
