Ron had just come home dropping Myolie home, he stepped through the door and sat on the lounge.
“Master Ron, your friend Tavia dropped off this letter about an hour ago,” the housekeeper gave Ron the letter and walked back to the kitchen.
Ron defiantly thought it was strange that Tavia wrote him a letter as opposed to just calling him. He opened the letter and read what she wrote; Ron had suddenly froze reading what Tavia wrote in the letter.
“Tavia,” he jumped up and ran back out of his house.

*Top of a Building, 10:42pm*
Tavia sat on the edge of the building looking down at the busy traffic driving pass and the pedestrians walking along the street. She had been sitting on the top of that build for about an hour now, not really doing anything but just sitting there thinking.
“What do you think you’re doing?” a cold familiar voice appeared behind her.
Tavia turned around and saw Bosco standing a few metres away from her, “How did you know I was here?”
“I have people watching,” Bosco answered.
Tavia should of known that he had sent someone to surveillance, she stood up and walked a little closer to Bosco, “Can I ask you something? Do you love me?”
Bosco heard Tavia but avoided her question, “Are you planning to commit suicide? Do you really think that will resolve everything between me and Ron?”
“Do you love me?!” Tavia shouted as tears flowed from her eyes, all she wanted was an answer.
“You know this won’t work, nothing you do will make me change my mind about Ron,” Bosco continued to avoid Tavia’s question as he took a step forward.
Tavia took a step back, “Answer my question!”
“No!” Bosco accidentally answered out of impulse.
“Why?” Tavia could feel herself breaking down.
“To get back at Ron for stealing Myolie away from me. That’s why,” Bosco didn’t even bother pretending anymore.
“I love you with all my heart and all this time you were using me?” Tavia took another step back get closer to the edge.
“That’s your own fault, the only person you can blame is Ron,” Bosco showed no signs of emotion towards Tavia, “making you fall in love with me then abusing you was all just a plan to make not only you but to make Ron suffer. Seeing his best friend being treated like that would really kill him inside,” Bosco laughed.
Tavia shook her head in disbelief, “So you have no feelings for me?”
“N…” Bosco hesitated a little as he took a split second to think about it but he quickly regained his senses, “None.”
A last tear dropped from Tavia’s eye as she turned around stepped out to the edge of the building.
Ron pulled his car up to the side of the street and looked everything trying to find Tavia. He could remember which building he and Tavia use to stay up in their younger days. Since it had been many years every building looked pretty much the same. Ron kept running and looking up to see if it was the right building.
“It’s that one,” he mumbled to himself finally finding the right building, he ran across the road. Just as he reached the other side of the road, there was a suddenly thump on the ground only a few metres away from him.
Ron jumped hearing the loud bang; he slowly turned his head to see a body covered in blood lying on the floor. His heart was racing as he took a step closer to have a clear view. Ron took a quick glimpse and immediately collapsed on the ground.

*Hospital, 1:31am*
Ron slowly opened his eyes to see Moses and Myolie standing in front of him. He pulled himself up and grabbed onto Moses shirt, “Tell me that wasn’t Tavia!”
Moses hesitated to say anything, “Ron…”
“Tell me!” Ron yelled.
Moses took a deep breath and nodded his head, “Sorry…”
“Ron…” Myolie wanted to comfort him.
“Get Out!” Ron yelled at the both of them, “Get out! Get out!” he jumped off his bed and pushed both Myolie and Moses out of the room clamming the door in their face. He immediately fell to the ground in tears, “Tavia…” he best friend dying right in front of him, “Why didn’t you wait for me?”
Ron bang the back of his head against the door several times thinking he could of saved her if he had got there faster. He took out the letter Tavia written to him, Ron couldn’t help but to burst into tears again.
“Why are you so stupid?” Ron mumbled under his tears, he read the letter again soaking the paper in his tears.
‘Ron, I know you’ve been looking out for me and I know that I have let you down by continuing to date Bosco. But ever since you said you didn’t like me at the bar I felt so down and if it wasn’t for Bosco coming into my life then I wouldn’t of known what to do. Funny how a person can just change, but I guess Bosco was this kind of person anyway. I knew he was bad and I know he would hurt you if I kept my friendship with you. I have no choice, although Bosco is the person I love now but deep down, I guess no one can ever replace the love I have for you. You’re my best friend and I will do anything I can to make sure that you’re safe. Although I don’t want to end things this way but I think it’s worth it. Don’t blame yourself for anything, I made this choice myself. Love always, your best friend Tavia.’
Ron kept reading the letter over and over again, “You’re so stupid!”

*Westwood Apartment, 3:09am*
Moses took Myolie home from the hospital, Myolie opened the door, “Thanks Moses.”
Moses smiled a little, “Don’t worry too much about Ron, he’ll pick himself up.”
“I know he will,” Myolie totally understood what Ron was going through, losing a best friend in that way was something that no one would be able to accept.
Charmaine strolled out of her room half asleep to get some water and saw Moses and Myolie standing by the door, “Hey, da… um… what are you doing here so late?”
“Tavia passed away and Ron is in hospital,” Myolie said trying to hold back her tears.
“What?” the news of Tavia’s death had totally waken Charmaine up, “How?”
“She committed suicide,” Moses informed Charmaine as he yawned.
“But why?” Charmaine asked.
Both Myolie and Moses weren't able to answer that question and shook their heads. Moses yawned again, “I better get going.”
Charmaine could see how tired Moses was, “You look so tired, why don’t you just stay here tonight?”
“Yeh,” Myolie agreed, seeing that Moses could hardly open his eyes, “There’s a perfect couch right their,” Myolie pointed.
Moses yawned again, “I guess I’ll stay then.”
“Myolie, you go to bed, I’ll get the stuff for Moses,” Charmaine offered.
Myolie walked off to bed while Charmaine grabbed some blankets and pillows for Moses. She sat on the couch while Moses lay across the other couch, “So how are things going with Raymond? Is everything cool now?”
Charmaine shook her head, “I don’t know…”
“What is the problem? You have to tell me so I can help.” Charmaine looked down away from Moses, “Come on… tell me, I’m your dad.”
Charmaine knew she wasn’t able to keep this to herself, she still had to find a way to save Raymond, “They day I am born… is the day that Raymond will die.”
Moses couldn’t believe what he was hearing, “What? How do you know?”
“In the future, Raymond Lam does not exist. All newspapers say that he was murdered,” Charmaine could feel her tears welling up talking about this.
“By who?” Moses asked wanting to know.
“Bosco Wong…”
“What?” Moses was even more shocked hearing it was Bosco, “Was he sentenced to prison?”
Charmaine shook her head, “On a technicality he was set free.”
“I can’t believe it,” Moses was furious that he could get away with such a crime, “Don’t worry Charmaine, I will do everything I can to ensure Raymond’s safety. As long as he can stay alive till after you’re born then everything will be fine,” Moses was not only saying this to comfort Charmaine but also to comfort himself from the shock.
Jessica’s alarm went off at 7:00am, she sat up on her bed and stretched her arms. She looked over at Charmaine’s bed to see that it was empty. Jessica walked outside towards the lounge room to see Moses sleeping on the couch with Charmaine sleeping on the other couch. Jessica couldn’t help but to smile, seeing her descendents having such great relationships with each other just made her so happy.
Charmaine had her legs half off the couch, she rolled over not realising how close she was to the ground and fell off the couch, “Ouch!” she yelled as she landed on the ground waking Moses up at the same time.
Moses jumped up, “What?” he looked over at Charmaine on the floor and started laughing so hard and so loud that he almost got a stomachache, “What are you doing on the ground? Get up?”
Charmaine sat back up and heard laughing from the hallway; she looked over to see Jessica laughing as well, “Morning Grandma.”
Moses sat up properly and wiped his face to fully wake up, “Morning Grandma.”
“Morning kids,” Jessica walked into the kitchen to get some milk, “Charmaine, we’re out of milk can you go buy some?”
“Sure,” Charmaine jumped up to get changed.
Moses jumped up too, “I’ll go with you.”
*Outside Westwood Apartment, 7:29am*
Raymond walked up the street towards Charmaine’s apartment. For quite some time now, Raymond felt that he and Charmaine had become more distant. He had hardly spent any time with her, it was either she was busy or that she was tired and didn’t want to go out. But he trusted her and believed in time that she will tell him what is going on in her life.
He kept walking up the street and came to a stop as he saw Moses and Charmaine walking out of the apartment building together. Raymond quickly hid behind a van parked on the street and peeked over at Moses and Charmaine, “Why is he here so early?”
Charmaine stopped walking, “Hey dad, you better go see mum now.”
“I’ll go with you to buy some stuff then I’ll go and visit your mum,” he rubbed his stomach, “I’m getting hungry.”
Charmaine nodded her head and continued walking down the street, a sudden gust of wind blew in their direction and uncontrollably Charmaine sneezed.
“Gees child,” Moses took his jacket off and placed it on Charmaine’s shoulders, “Can’t even look after yourself, why didn’t you bring a jacket when its so early in the morning?”
This was probably the first time Moses had lectured in a fatherly tone, “I’m a big girl dad, I know when I’m hot or cold.”
“Doesn’t look like it to me. I’m your dad you have to listen to me,” Moses made her wear his jacket properly and continued to walk.
Raymond kept watching them from a distance, he wasn’t sure if he was seeing right or not but a funny feeling, he couldn’t really grasp what this feeling was but he knew it was defiantly bad. Seeing them two together in such a close relationship, which he didn’t even know about just kept Raymond from asking questions, questions of trust and betrayal.
