Kevin stretched his arms as he woke up. He had been looking through books on astronomy to see how he could work out how to get Jessica and Charmaine back to their own time. He worked so late that he fell asleep right there on his table.
Kevin looked at the time, “Wow, better get ready,” he jumped up and quickly got changed. Kevin walked passed Tavia’s room and knocked on her door, “Tavia! Get up,” he kept knocking but there wasn’t an answer. “Tavia,” Kevin opened the door slightly and peeked inside, Tavia’s bed looked as if she had even been home, “Bet’s she’s at Bosco’s house.”
Kevin walked down stairs and took out his phone only to realise that he had switched his phone off. He switched his phone back on and dialled Tavia’s number, the phone rang for a long time but there was no answer. Kevin dialled her number again but there was still no answer. He hung up and dialled Bosco’s number.
After a few rings Bosco picked up, “Hello.”
“Hi Bosco, it’s Kevin… is Tavia with you?” Kevin asked.
“No, I haven’t seen her all night,” Bosco lied, “have you tried her mobile?”
“Yeh but I can’t get through,” Kevin was starting to get slightly worried, Tavia had never been such an irresponsible person, “Um, thanks anyway.”
Kevin sat on the kitchen bench and dialled Ron’s number but it went straight to the voicemail, “Why is no one picking up?” Kevin asked himself as he dialled the number again. At this time the doorbell rang, Kevin jumped off the seat and opened the door to see two uniformed police officers, he hung up his phone.
“Can I help you with anything sir?” Kevin asked curious why police were here.
“Are you Kevin Cheng?” one of the officers asked.
“Yes.”
“Your sister Tavia was in a terrible tragedy last night, she committed suicide and by the time ambulance arrived they couldn’t revive her,” the officer informed Kevin.
Kevin immediately dropped his phone and stood there in shock, “What?”
“I’m sorry Mr. Cheng,,” the other officer apologised.
Kevin stood back and shook his head, “You must be mistaking. You have the wrong person, my sister wouldn’t do that,” Kevin didn’t want to believe what the officers said.
“Sorry Mr Cheng, Ron Cheuk apparently witnessed everything but he had fainted before he could call the ambulance,” the officer told Kevin.
“Where is he?” Kevin asked wanting to know exactly what happened.
“He is in the hospital.”

*Hospital, 9:14am*
Kevin rushed into the hospital and straight to Ron’s room, he burst into his room and saw Ron sitting on a chair next to the window staring outside. Kevin walked over and grabbed Ron by the shirt.
“What happened to my sister?” he yelled wanting an answer.
Ever since Ron saw Tavia’s body fall from the building he hadn’t spoken a word to anyone. He kept to himself and just looked out the window as he held onto Tavia’s letter.
“Answer me!” Kevin picked Ron up off the chair and shook him, “Answer me! Why did she do it?”
Ron still didn’t say anything and kept his head down, grasping the letter tight in his hand. Kevin was not only sad but frustrated why no one could give him an explanation as to why Tavia would commit suicide. Kevin’s anger in him slowly overpowered his sadness. He pushed Ron back onto the chair but made him lose balance and ended up falling to the ground.
It was only then Kevin had suddenly burst into tears, he knelt down in front of Ron, “Please… Ron, please tell me why Tavia did what she did, I beg you…”
Slowly a tear fell from Ron’s eye, “Sorry… It’s all because of me…”
“What?” Kevin was shocked to hear Tavia’s death was related to him.
“If I didn’t tell her I didn’t like her then this wouldn’t of happened, if I stopped her from going out with Bosco then she wouldn’t of died, if Bosco didn’t hate me so much then Tavia wouldn’t have died,” Ron hit himself on the head thinking it was all because of him. He looked up at Kevin, his eyes were full of regret and self blame, “I’m sorry, I can’t even look after my best friend. I knew Bosco was up to no good and just using Tavia but I couldn’t even ensure Tavia’s safety, I couldn’t even stop her from seeing him, I’m sorry,” the more Ron thought about it, the more he hated himself. He kept hitting himself and apologising to Kevin.
Kevin couldn’t believe that all this time Bosco was just using Tavia, he stopped Ron from hitting himself, “It’s not your fault…”
Ron leaned back against his bed; he couldn’t help but to tear more as he thought about Tavia and Kevin not blaming him. Kevin patted him on the shoulder knowing that Tavia would want them to stay strong at this time.

*Grand Hotel General Managers Office, 10:18am*
Raymond sat in his office and looked outside where Charmaine sat. the seat was empty, it had been empty for a long time now and Raymond still didn’t get an explanation from her. He really wanted to know what was happening, he wanted to know why their relationship had suddenly gone so bland. Not only did they spent less time with each other but even if they were in the same room, she would hardly speak or even look him in the eye.
Raymond took a deep breath and shut his eyes leaning back on his chair, “Tell me what’s wrong…” he opened his eyes and saw Charmaine finally waling into the office. He jumped off his seat and walked outside, “Charmaine…”
Charmaine looked up at Raymond, “Yes?”
“Can I see you for minute?” Raymond asked.
Charmaine walked into Raymond’s office and stood in front of his desk. Raymond shut the door behind him and stood next to her, “Can you tell me why you’re avoiding me now?”
“I’m not avoiding you,” Charmaine said not looking at Raymond.
Raymond held onto her shoulders and turned her around, “Look at me! You are avoiding me. Did I do something wrong? If I did then tell me, I will change,” Raymond was starting to tense up, he really just wanted an answer, “Charmaine, please just tell me what it is. I hate seeing you like this, I hate no knowing what’s going on in your life. I hate no being able to have a conversation with you,” Raymond pulled Charmaine towards him and hugged her tightly, “What ever it is, I just want to know…”
A tear fell from Charmaine’s eye as she stood in Raymond’s embrace, it was killing her that she wasn’t able to tell him what would be happening to him in a couple of months. She wasn’t able to look him in the eyes because every time she looked into his eyes she would see the motionless look of Raymond’s dead body, the only thing she could do was to avoid him as much as possible.
“Ray…” Charmaine was close to telling him but a knock on the door distracted them two.
Raymond let go of Charmaine, “Come in…”
As soon as Moses walked inside, he could feel an intense and awkward atmosphere, “Hey…”
“What’s up Moses?” Raymond asked still suppressing his suspicion of the relationship between Moses and Charmaine.
“Um… Charmaine was doing a job for me, I just wanted to ask her about the progression and discuss other matters of it,” Moses made up any excuse so he could take Charmaine away.
“I better get back to work,” Charmaine looked Raymond in the eye not wanting to part with him but she turned around and left with Moses.
Moses and Charmaine walked out into the hallway towards the elevator, “Dad, do you think I should tell Raymond to truth?”
Moses sighed, “I don’t know, at this moment I don’t think he should know, we probably should ask Kevin and see what he thinks,” Moses could tell Charmaine’s struggle to keep this secret away from Raymond, he placed his hand around her shoulder to comfort her, “Don’t worry too much, the less he knows, the better it would be for him.”
Raymond stood behind the walls as he followed them out into the hallways, he clenched his fist as he saw and heard only the last part of the conversation. He really didn’t want to believe that his best friend and his girl friend had betrayed him but the truth was right in front of him. Raymond really wanted to confront them but he wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and hoped that everything he saw, heard and felt was just his misunderstanding.

*Hospital, 12:37pm*
Bosco stood behind the windows and watched Joe lying unconscious on the hospital bed on life support. The doctor walked out of the room having the same expression as always.
“How is doing?” Bosco asked, eager to find out whether Joe has any chance of recovering.
The doctor sighed, “At the moment Joe is stable, having him on life support will keep him alive but other than that the chances of him waking up are very slim. To tell you the truth, it will take a miracle to wake him up.”
Bosco turned back to Joe and looked at the tough state he was in, “If it wasn’t because of Moses and Raymond then you wouldn’t of ended up like this,” he mumbled to himself. At this point Bosco still didn’t believe that he was the one responsible for Joe’s sickness and insisted on blaming Moses and Raymond.
Bosco walked out of the room and strolled down the hospital hallway towards the exit. He suddenly stopped as he passed Ron’s room. He turned back around and knocked on his door and walked inside.
Ron sat up properly seeing Bosco walk into his room, “What do you want Bosco?”
“I just want to see how pathetic you are right now,” Bosco said with a cunning smile on his face.
Seeing Bosco’s smile made Ron so furious, it just totally reminded him of the way he treated Tavia before she dies. Ron jumped up from his bed and charged in Bosco’s direction, he grabbed onto Bosco’s shirt and pinned him against the wall.
“Haven’t you already played enough?” Ron shouted in Bosco’s face, “Because of you, Tavia chose to die!” Ron couldn’t control himself and felt tears streaming down his cheek.
Bosco laughed a little as he leaned very close to Ron and whispered in his ear, “You look exactly like Tavia just before she jumped off that building.”
Ron couldn’t believe what he had just heard; Bosco was there with Tavia when she jumped, “What did you do to her?”
“Nothing, absolutely nothing,” Bosco laughed even louder.
Ron clenched his fist and punched Bosco in the stomach, “Why didn’t you stop her?” he shouted as he through Bosco onto the ground.
Just as Ron wanted to strike again Kevin and Jessica rushed into the room and pulled Ron away from Bosco, “Ron don’t!” Kevin shouted pulling him away.
Ron struggled trying to release himself from Kevin, “It’s because of him, that’s why Tavia died!”
Bosco stood back up and pointed at Ron, “Don’t go around making things up or I will sue you,” he warned Ron and left the room.
Ron pushed Kevin away, “He practically killed your little sister and your just going to let that go?”
“No I’m not, but violence isn’t the answer,” although Kevin was furious with Bosco being the initial drive of Tavia’s death but he still was very clear minded and knew that violence would not solved anything, “we need evidence.”
“His not going to leave evidence around, his too smart,” Ron dropped in his bed, he hated the fact that he couldn’t even help Tavia, he hated the fact that Bosco was so much smarter than him.
Jessica stood in front of Ron, “You have to believe in yourself. If can’t even stand up and have faith in yourself then who’s going to give Tavia justice?”
Ron know Jessica and Kevin were right, he had to pick himself up again and find the right way to take Bosco down.

*Ma Mansion, 1:35pm*
Bosco walked upstairs to the study room to grab a file for a meeting he had later. He heard a knock on the door, “Come in.”
The housekeeper walked inside with a letter in her hand, “Master Bosco, this letter was dropped off the other night in the letterbox but it was stuck between a few other letters so I didn’t see it until now, “ she passed the letter to Bosco, “It’s addressed to you.”
Bosco took the letter and recognised the handwriting on the cover, “Tavia…” he quickly opened the letter and read what was inside.
‘Bosco, I don’t know whether you would even read this letter or not but I decided to write to you anyway. From the very start of our relationship I somehow could feel you were just using me to get back at Myolie and Ron but I didn’t mind because I knew that one day I would be able to capture your heart. As time passed I began to love you even more and more but I wasn’t sure if you felt the same way about me. The time when you hit me, although it hurt inside but I knew it was because you were frustrated with Ron and Myolie so I forgave you. I tried my hardest to do what ever you wanted me to do but I guess I just couldn’t replace your hatred with my love. I didn’t want to choose this path but when you gave me the option between you and Ron I really didn’t know how to choose. The person I love versus my best friend, I really don’t want to see any of you being hurt. Although I know that I don’t have any position in your heart but you will always be the man I love. Tavia.’
Bosco placed the letter on his desk and leaned back on his chair. A tear dropped from his eye as he thought back to what happened the night Tavia died.
#Flashback, Night Tavia Died#
Tavia stepped back towards the edge of the building hearing all this time Bosco had no feelings towards her. She had always somehow knew but she just didn’t want to believe it until those words came out of his mouth.
“I knew all along…” Tavia took another step back, stepping closer towards the edge.
A trickle of fell from Bosco’s forehead as he watch Tavia walk closer and closer towards the edge of the building, “Tavia I…” at this point Bosco really wanted to stop her.
Tavia heard Bosco calling out to her, it was what she had hoped for. She turned back around but took a wrong step and slipped, falling behind off the edge of the building.
Bosco saw and without thinking he ran towards Tavia and dived towards the edge of the building and grabbed onto Tavia’s hand, “Hang on!” Bosco held tightly onto Tavia’s hand not letting her go, “Don’t let go!”
On the brink of death, Tavia had finally felt Bosco’s love towards her, “Bosco…”
“I won’t let you go!” Bosco could feel Tavia’s hand slowly slipping away, “Hold on tight!” Bosco kept holding onto Tavia’s hand and started to pull her up, but he had suddenly stopped. From the corner of his eye he saw Ron down on the street just below them. His hatred towards Ron and his family had come screaming back, he had regain his every motive to get revenge and would do anything to make Ron and the Cheuk family suffer.
Bosco looked Tavia fiercely in the eye and let go of her hand. It was as if everything had slowed down as Bosco watched Tavia fall from the building and hitting the ground straight next to Ron.
#End of Flashback#
It was only now that Bosco had figured that his feelings towards Tavia had slowly developed into something real. He felt everything and everyone in his life had been taken away from him. And the family which caused this to happen was the Cheuk family. Although Bosco knew it is way too easy to defeat the Cheuk family but he wanted them to feel the pain he felt, he not only waned them to suffer physically but mentally. He had already defeated Ron by using Tavia and now it was Moses’s turn. He wanted Moses and Raymond to turn against each other by using the one person Raymond loved the most, Charmaine.
