* At the hospital *
Leila was waiting for Raymond in his consultant room. She was told by the nurse that Raymond was currently in a meeting. Leila glanced around her surroundings. White walls, a bookcase with files and books, and a showcase of Raymond's trophies and medals.
"Woah, so many trophies here. Seems like he got at least one every year since he was in primary school. Sports and studies. That's so cool." Leila thought. Just then, a photoframe hiding behind the trophies and medals caught her eyes.
Leila's POV : Raymond still kept that photoframe and the neoprints? 2 years, and he still kept it? Mine is stashed somewhere inside my drawer I think. Can't even remember.
* Flashback, 2 years ago *
Leila's doctor-in-charge, Dr Chia, had retired and migrated to Canada. The doctor who took over him was Raymond, who had just flew back from US. Raymond was under Professer Ang during his US days, one of the most reputated doctors in the world. Despite Raymond being a greenhorn then, his flexibilities and analysing skills was more or less the standard of a specialist. This made him the best student Professer Ang had ever taught in his 45 years of teaching.
* The first time Leila and Raymond met *
"Come in," Raymond said, when he heard a knock on his door. "Next patient, Leila. Liver disease." Raymond took a glance at her report before collating the data of the previous patient he had.
"I'm Leila. You..You are my new doctor-in-charge?"
"Yup, that's right. Take a seat. I'll be with you in a moment." Raymond said, without looking at Leila.
Leila sat down and waited patiently.
"Hi, I'm your.." Raymond finally introduced himself but stopped when he saw Leila.
Raymond's POV: She's beautiful. She gives me this special feeling. Wait wait wait! She's your patient. Concentrate Raymond, CONCENTRATE!
"I'm your new doctor-in-charge, Dr Lam. Nice to meet you Leila," Raymond finished his introduction and extended his hand.
"Nice to meet you too. I'm Leila." Raymond felt an electric current moving in his body when Leila shook his hand.
"What's happening?" Raymond mumbled.
"What?" Leila asked.
"Nothing. Good to see you in good shape."
They continued the consultation routine and when it finally ended, Raymond felt that he could not bear Leila to leave the room.
"Dr Lam, the Director wants to have a word with you," A nurse poked her head in after knocking on the door.
"Ok, I'll be there shortly. Well, goodbye Leila,"
"Bye," Leila shrugged, walking out of the room thinking that her new doctor was practically a weirdo.
* Same day, in a shopping mall *
Raymond's POV : Raymond, for goodness sake, what came over you huh? Shake that Leila's face out of your mind please! Why do I..Wait..Is that Leila at that gift shop over there?
Raymond shook his head and blinked his eyes. "It's Leila!!" Raymond felt as if he couldn't control his movements. Something told him to go over to that gift shop...
"Uh, Hi! Such a coincidence huh? Buying gifts?" Raymond pretended.
"Uh hi." Leila said emotionless.
Leila's POV: Doctors nowadays are so free huh? Oh, it's lunch time, no wonder. Just my luck to meet this weirdo doctor here. There's no law saying people who go into a gift shop must buy gifts. Just looking around also can't? This doctor must have studied till he went mad.
"Erm, you free now? Care to have lunch with me?" Raymond asked, regretting almost immediately when he saw the what-the-heck look on Leila's face.
"Uh, whatever. Erm, excuse me, can I have a new frame just like this?" Leila replied, holding a photoframe in her hands and asked the salegirl.
"Please wait, let me check. Uh sorry, miss, this is the display piece and all display pieces are not for sale. The last one had just been sold out yesterday. " The salesgirl apologized.
"It's ok," Leila shrugged her shoulders and walked out of the gift shop dejectedly.
"Why you look so sad? That..That photoframe's for your boyfriend?" Raymond joked, hoping to lighten the tense atmosphere as well was for a "no" answer, hoping that he stood a chance.
"Did anyone ever tell you that being a busybody is a girl's right and not a guy's?" Leila retorted and walked off, leaving Raymond with question marks in his head.
Raymond's POV: Woah, she got character. Found the wrong girl I guess.
"You want to have lunch with me?" Raymond ran after her.
"Your treat," Leila pointed at Raymond.
"Anything, fine," Raymond mumbled.
* After the treat *
"Lunch hour is over. You don't need to go back to work?" Leila asked in a concerned tone, her heart wishly badly that Raymond will stop pestering her.
"Well, as a matter of fact, no. I'm on the night shift today." Raymond smiled.
"Oh, okay." Leila said, her mind thinking of a plan to send Raymond away.
Leila's POV: A neoprint shop. Just nice! Let's see if you will play along with me like Ron does. If you do,I shall treat you as my second brother. If not, you will continue to be my doctor. But I guess you will stay away from me after this, no guys will want to take neoprints unless they are forced to.
Leila smiled playfully, asking, "Look there! A neoprint shop. Wonder what new machines they have,"
"You wanna know? Come," Raymond grabbed her hand and pulled her into the shop.
Leila frowned. "What?! This doesn't scare him off? It's getting too far!" Leila mouthed.
"You want this or this or this? Card or sticker?" Raymond asked, pointing to the machines.
"Hm, what if I say I want all?" Leila giggled.
"Then take all!" Raymond answered, taking out a $50 note from his wallet to exchange for coins.
Leila's POV: This doctor is mad! Wasting money like this. Guess he think he has too much money huh? But, his reaction is exactly the same as Kor. Maybe should introduce them to each other, haha.
Raymond took Leila by the hand and took neoprints with her in all the machines. Funky, cute, angry, sad, cool, you name it.
"You see that guy over that? He cares so much for his girlfriend. Just a sentence and he follows suit. I'm jealous. If only he's mine," A girl manning the counter hissed to her colleague, pointing at Leila and Raymond.
"You and your daydreaming! You have your honey already, still go daydream. Don't point at them, wait they complain against you then you know." Her colleague warned her.
* Time passes *
" Actually you don't have to send me back, you'll be late for work," Leila said when Raymond sent her to her doorstep.
"You are my patient and I should take care of you. I won't be late. I'm on the 9pm shift and now's only 7pm."
Leila sighed in her heart.
"Leila, back so late? Uh, This is...?" Leila heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Ron walking towards her.
"Kor! Uh, this is my new doctor-in-charge, Dr Lam,"
"Oh hello! Nice to know you. I'm Ron, her brother. Is everything's okay with my sis?"
"No! You are my kor!" Leila stuck out her tongue as she slid her hand into Ron's.
"Princess!! Isn't it the same?!" Ron said in an exasperated and this-is-lame tone.
"No, it's not the same. Kor more close and affectionate." Leila acted like a little girl.
Ron rolled his eyes.
"Oh, hi! I'm Raymond. Everything's okay with Leila. Don't worry,"
"I see, but why are you here? I mean..-"
"Uh, Kor! Dr Lam has to go back to work. Don't disturb him anymore, let's go in. Bye!" Leila made an excuse and tried pulling Ron into the house.
"Oh ya, Leila, this dropped out of your bag just now." Raymond said, tossing to her a box.
"Huh? I have this thing with me? Did I?" Leila thought aloud.
"Uh, I got to get going, bye and see you!" Raymond shouted as he got into the lift.
Ron stared at Leila and forced Leila to explain what was going on.
"What? You mean that you fooled and played with him?! So you don't want me anymore as your Kor? My princess, you gotta change your ways." Ron was stunned and pretended to cry.
Leila shook her head. "You said I had to be happy at all times, and you ARE still my Kor forever and ever!" Leila flashed Ron a smile and skipped back to her room.
Leila's POV: I wonder what's this? *Looks at box* Did I bring this out today? What's that Dr Lam doing? Flirting? Then I guessed he sent this to more then a dozen girls. *Opens box*
It was the photoframe that Leila had saw in the gift shop. Leila picked up a note which was in the box:
Leila,
Hope you like this photoframe. Don't worry, I didn't steal it. =) Hope you enjoyed your day. I did. Hee. Can we be friends, other then a doctor-patient relationship? I know this is against the rule, but you are a special girl to me. Don't get me wrong, I mean just friends. Take care and see you soon. Call me when you feel like it.

Leila rolled her eyes and place the photoframe by her bedside. "You be my brother?" Leila laughed. "Accepted,"
